Bryan in West Virginia says this is his day off carry. His gun of choice is a Kel-Tec PF-9, a gun advertised by the company as “one of the lightest and flattest 9mm pistols ever made.” It’s a DAO – double action only – pistol which is often used on guns designed for concealed carry as an additional or stand-alone safety mechanism.
DAO does require some practice, though. If you’re ever forced to defend your life with a DAO pistol, you’d better be able to press that trigger repeatedly and accurately. Jerking the trigger or failing to execute a smooth pull throughout means your shots won’t be anywhere near as accurate, so get some practice.
And please, guys, practice under stress. Train appropriately for self-defense, not just punching paper targets on a square range.
