Already anticipating a three-peat (yeah, KC have already licensed the term from NBA coaching great Pat Riley who trademarked it), city leaders have announced they will not hold a public rally like they have in the past. Why? Because last year during the rally, two rival groups of thugs decided to escalate their anger from words into gun fire, missing their targets, but striking DJ, Lisa Lopez-Galvan, 43, killing her and injuring more than 20 other people, mostly children.
Three men—Dominic Miller, Lyndell Mays and Terry Young—are facing trial, charged with second-degree murder as well as weapons-related charges. And this my friends, is why we can’t have nice things, like celebratory rallies.
In light of the tragedy, and making plans should the Chiefs win (the Eagles might have something to say about that this time around), city officials have said they will do an In-the-stadium celebration for players, family members and of course, the Kansas City mayor and Missouri governor, according to the New York Post. There would still be a parade, but the route has reportedly been altered to create less crowding.
Many Americans are hoping the Eagles will solve the issue for Kansas City all-around and simply win, so the citizens there won’t have anything to worry about. Of course, much of that desire to see KC lose may be based more on Taylor Swift-fatigue. Every time her boyfriend Travis Kelce catches a football or the Chief’s score, the networks can’t resist but to pan to the pop star in her VIP suite looking shocked or idiotically hugging everyone around her acting like she’s seeing a football game for the very first time. It’s a long shot Philly will pool this off, Mahomes, love him or hate him, seems to always pull a W out of his helmet at the last minute, but one can only hope.

Most modern “music” isn’t. Too many stores play that crap over the store’s speakers, and it all sounds the same from one song to the next. Mostly synthesized with lyrics that you either can’t understand, or mean nothing. I couldn’t name a Swift song if my life depended upon it, and couldn’t care less. 50s, 60s, and into the 70s, the music was actually listenable and enjoyable. One can (usually) understand the lyrics, and the tunes typically tell a little story. Bobby Goldsboro’s “Summer” is a good example.
As for the game itself, while I watch the game, I NEVER watch the halftime show. It’s over produced with performers I care nothing about. Since it’s a half hour, it’s a good time to tune in something else for the duration.

There’s a bunch of things that we should do but most don’t. I sort of wonder how many people have gotten screwed by their gloves, for instance.
Especially with strange, putsy stuff like a finger doesn’t fit tightly, gets jammed under the trigger and now the gun won’t reset until you yank the glove material out of it.
2 out of 3 issued gloves had that issue with the M9 and all of them had that issue with Glocks and any Sig I tried them with. Cheap ass mechanics somehow seemed to work well enough. And as annoying as that was the button snap mag pouches were far worse for tripping you up if you wanted to do anything.
Guns with the design of the M9 seem to have this issue with various sets of gloves.
The 941’s have the same problem with the same gloves, IME. They also have a similar design of trigger/trigger guard.
Only pairs of gloves I’ve seen 100% overcome those problems with those guns are either thin, like Mechanix or an oddball-ish design like the old Arc’teryx WX Cold gloves (basically their assault gloves but with insulation).
I used the WXs for awhile and never had an issue with them at all, but it was a bit of a journey before I found them. Great gloves, still have a pair around here somewhere. I used them for colder weather and ran Mechanix for warmer weather.
IME, it seems to have to do with the seams but that’s just my, not exactly scientific, observation.
