I carry a SIG P229C 9mm loaded with Hornady Critical Defense in a JM Custom Kydex.
The leather Hitch and Timber pocket organizer holds an IMCO lighter, Leatherman Juice S2, bullet pen and Streamlight USB rechargeable flashlight.
Other items are a Casio watch, keys to the Civic and a Trayvax wallet. I started wearing the bandana when masks became a requirement. It wears comfortably around my neck and I can easily slide it up upon entering a shop or when I get the urge to rob an approaching stagecoach.

So how many magazines do you carry? Assuming you can physically carry more than you do, why don’t you?
After all, you’ve never been in an armed confrontation where you wished you had less ammo.

I definitely need one. Extra ammo and also for malfunction . Need to find a mag carrier that doesn’t print.
I haven’t found a good solution for concealing double-stack mags in warm weather.
Safariland Model 123 Horizontal Magazine Pouch will work nicely with a double stack magazine.

I have been carrying my APX since the unrest started. The grip is about the same size. A cop or security professional might notice but no one else including your typical BLM/ANTIFA looter. I am sure he conceals it well.
I imagine he does since its his EDC.
When I carry a full size SR9 IWB, the grip looks like a tent peg under my shirt.
I can carry a Beretta 92 easier in an OWB pancake even though its wider.
Since I dont own Sigs, I’m just guessing by looking that it would be hard to cover.
But I could be wrong.
The “C” model is the carry version of the 229. It’s smaller than it looks if you know what I mean.
It’s the full sized grip with a 3.5” barrel. Not much fatter than a glock 19 but a lot more ergonomic.
AIWB. Only way I could get guns I own not to print. I used to carry Glock but don’t like striker fired pistol point at the vitals. So went DA/SA. Looking for OWB for cold weather carry.

I regularly carry a P229, and it really isn’t too hard to hide. A loose shirt or a fleece hides it pretty well.
All I carry is a .54 black powder. If you need more than that you need your eyes checked or you need to stop hanging out with criminals.

I commend the carrier of that P229. Takes dedication for that kind of weight and girth. But hey if it’s your fave it’s worth it.
Please. A real man would be carrying a muzzle loading black powder. If you can find a way to justify the need for more than one bullet per minute just carry a back up derringer.
II mean a 9mm won’t stop no one. .54 ball will stop anything. Not as good as my brown bess but good enough.

I love my Sig p229 and carry it 90% of the time
Really happy with Sig. the 229C is a 224 slide on a 229 grip. Only issue I’ve had is 229 15 round mags will not reliable cycle when loaded with 15 rounds. This is consistent with all factory mags I own. I limit To 14. I need to start carrying that extra mag.
Try MecGar mags, they work great in my 229 and 228
MecGar is the oem manufacturer for Sig magazines.

I’ve never used a kydex, it seems they would not be as comfortable as leather. Also something about a plastic holster just don’t seem right to me.Next time I get a chance I will look some over.
I had Crossbreed holster. Leather was more comfortable but didn’t carry right for me. I would recommend them though. Just didn’t fit me.
And in many states black powder gunms are considered a furarm if your a prohibited person.. as a matter of fact in this state a bb gunm is illegal if it shoots faster then 650 fps and has a rifled barrel. laws in state before making a mistake.

Ha! My commute is 75 miles each way so had to get something easy on gas. 4th Honda and my first three had over 200k miles. Fortunate to be able to work from home during scamdemic and may from now on. I’ll be getting truck for next vehicle.

I Really want a p229 in .40/ .357 Sig.
Good proven and dependable Gun, Knife, and Flashlight, No spare mag bothers me, because if you have malfunction, it may be due to the mag itself. So for me, I always carry a spare, even if it’s stuffed in a pocket (usually I carry two 12 rounders for my P365 in a DeSantis Mag Pouch, haven’t bought any of the 15 round mags yet). You and only you know your situation, needs and condition of your gear, so the spare is just my two cents. I had to quit carrying IWB, I’m old enough with just enough of a paunch, to dig in (especially sitting down) and it can get pretty uncomfortable. Can’t lose the spare tire no matter what I try. Getting Old Ain’t For Sissies I’ll vouch for. So I use a DeSantis Mini Slide.
Other than the spare mag, that’s a great EDC kit.
