One thing I’m pretty sure one of the things this would be good for is going to jail… aren’t guns that don’t look like guns AOWs?
The other problem with this is that if you are using it as a flashlight you are pointing a gun at yourself, and if you are using it as a gun, you are pointing a flashlight away from the target.
Also, for $895 you can get a lot of conventional gun and flashlight.
This is something I would have expected to see on ‘Sons of Guns’.
This isn’t just impractical, it’s bloody dangerous. It’s a bad idea to disguise guns and deadly weapons as common household objects, because they won’t be handled with the respect and caution that weapon-handling demands.
There’s an urban myth about a pawn shop customer accidentally killing himself with a .22 pen gun that the pawnshop owner didn’t even know was a gun. This story may be apocryphal, but it illustrates the dangers of disguised firearms: how the hell are you supposed to know it’s a gun, and avoid blowing your own head off with it?
I think CSG got it backwards. They should have made a .410 that shoots unlimited rounds but only lights once.
I would like to see this flashlight as a semi-auto with at least 5 shots and a better trigger system with a laser for more accurate aiming.
I won’t be interested until it is available in .50 BMG. Why? Because that is the only way I can see to make this less safe.
I got a way. Chamber it for 40mm grenades and supply it with M576 rounds.
OH HEY…I got a great idea from this item…combination binoculars and double stiletto knife defense weapon…if you see someone coming through the binoculars you quickly pull them away from your eyes and slide the lever right next to the focus wheel and 2 6 inch blades deploy out of the eyepieces and VIOLA you’re ready to defend yourself…good idea?
