LA has enough homeless to fill a small city.
All the west coast cities do, even up in Canada. Doesn’t get cold enough to reduce their numbers like in northeast cities.
The police here call them “bumsicles” when they don’t think the PC crowd is listening. As in, “We had another bumsicle reported by the river this morning, and it took 2 hours for the coroner to show up.”
At this point, they’re filling a fairly large city too.
As if there was any gun laws left to pass in the state of Commiefornia.
They have yet to pass the mandatory confiscation of all firearms and outlawing ownership by private citizens.
That is their trajectory but they aren’t there… yet.
My personal opinion: the Parkland students reminded complacent firearms rights proponents to vote for firearms rights in the upcoming elections.

Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the country and yet the most gun violence. That’s what gun laws do.
No, it doesn’t have the strictest gun laws. Those times have passed.
They can easily and legally get their guns in nearby Indiana, and Chicago authorities can do nothing about it.
If you are a legal resident of the State of Indiana, are not legally forbidden from owning or possessing firearms and ammunition, then yes, you can purchase firearms. But NO one without a state issued ID (in this case, Indiana residents) can purchase a firearm. An Illinois state issued driver’s license WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED in any other state but Illinois to purchase handguns.
They really should come out here and protest…. Florida averages a mesely ~2500 “gun deaths” per year and California hovers around a ghastly 3300. If it wasn’t for California’s super lax gun laws, we wouldn’t be suffering from this epidemic. Those Parkland kids need to come to California and demand that our politicians restructure our gun laws to mirror Florida’s gun laws!!!…. we would save lives in California by following Florida’s lead!!! Then they should go to New York and New Jersey and demand the same there too!!!

I had been an avid gun rights supporter, but now I’m “woke”. What it took was a group of sneering, petulant teenagers who are funded by totalitarians to tell me that I’m a brutal, murderous, bloodthirsty butcher that is beholden to the Russians and the gun lobby. The Parkland students are indeed stupid since they have shown little, if any, common sense or understanding concerning guns(which are not weapons until used as one no more than a hammer is a weapon) and a person’s right to self protection. However, they are not necessarily ignorant for as President Ronald Reagan once said when defining democrats, “they know a lot, it’s just that what they know is wrong”!

The only thing I can see that Hogg & his pals have actually achieved is to force the state of Florida to enact laws which disarm Hogg and his pals… at least until they turn 21. They’ve also banned backpacks that aren’t see-thru and created a prison like feel to their school with more rules etc. etc. Hope they’re happy with all that. They caused it.

Recent events show Cruz was denied mental health care by the school, they lied, covered it up. blamed Cruz for it, and the sheriff department lied about their response, disregard of warnings along with the FBI failure. The school created the shooter! He would have killed with pipe bombs, a car, knives or anything else he could get. And to make the school safer now?
