I’m thinking and hoping that the new model they can’t talk about yet is a true mini-9 or mini-380. Their current CCP and PK380 are too big for those britches. They need to out-G42/43 the G42/43.

+1 The PPQ M2 is my favorite handgun, only thing I don’t like about it is it doesn’t come in .45

Hmmm…I think I liked the original ppq with the mag release lever instead of the button…I know i probably complained about it before but, the lever is a bit more…unique.
Once one learns how to use it it’s really handy. The main problem is switching guns
I just picked up a PPQ 22 LR with a threaded barrel and it is a sweet gun.
It fits my hand like a tailored suit.
It mates up perfectly with the Silencerco Spectre II which by sheer coincidence fits perfectly in the foam slot of the hard case that come with the gun.
It isn’t a small gun for a 22 but that’s fine with me.
And very lefty friendly!
PPQ M1 is my favorite. In keeping with the paddle style release I went and shot a PPS in 9mm. Apparently no-one had shot it previously, I would imagine due to the popularity of the shield. In any case, I was hoping for a fairly PPQ like experience, and while it felt and shot very nicely, the damn thing bit my trigger finger hard, after about 2 mags worth of rounds my finger had a distinguishable red mark on it. I can only speculate that the trigger safety didn’t quite sit flush and when the slide went forward the trigger pushed into my finger with all the weight on that little sliver that is the trigger safety. I haven’t shot another yet to see if it was just an odd manufacturing defect, though I found plenty of people who experienced the same issue. I’m kind of hoping for a PPQ-C in the tradition of P99C, would love to have the slightly shorter grip and maintain some capacity of the double-stack.
Its funny, I had the opposite experience with the PPS. I shot the PPS on a whim at TIFF last year and it surprised me so much I went back and shot it three more times.
I have a new LC9, and it does not have the dingus in the trigger, but tended to pinch the tip of my trigger finger very like you describe, when I was firing from a rest, not otherwise. Like you, I examined the trigger area, could not figure anything to explain that.
Would be very happy to see a PPQ45
