I find it hilarious that the recent MSU incident caused the Student Body President of CU Boulder to demand gun control on campus because of recent law changes.
What she doesn’t understand is that the laws, as changed, don’t actually change much. They allow a business or a university to ban guns provided they follow the rest of the rules that the law didn’t change.
So, you can have gun free buildings but in order to do that you have to limit access to a single point and have security posted using a magnetometer. Which basically means that for most buildings you have to lock a bunch of the entrances and use them only as exits and then post security.
For every individual building. LOL, oh great, you can get out of one class, walk cross the street for your next class and wait 45 minutes in line to get into the building for the class while the university spends millions on this fiasco for a campus that’s never had a shooting incident.
