Well, there is no need for the “UpLula”, the little magazine-loader included with all XD/XDm’s, and similar contraptions – but they sell tons of them and give them away free with millions of pistols. Not needed, but some people use them…
Yours didn’t, maybe. My XD45 came with magazines that were shaving sharp all the way around the top of the tube and a monstrous spring. It took several full load-unload cycles before I could get more than ten rounds out of a stated thirteen-round capacity without using the tool, and the mag springs are still stout enough to make #13 a challenge.
I bought one on Saturday and couldn’t be happier with it….except for the ambi safety that I’m going to have added. I’ve been looking for an ‘entry level’ 1911 for months, and i’m glad I waited. This is a great gun, and it’s 100% made in the USA. Win/win.
Although I sincerely appreciate your time and effort, I think I’d rather try to untangle a spider web than sit through another video like this.
There was virtually nothing in your video that I couldn’t have gleaned from Ruger’s website and/or countless blogs.
If you decide to do something similar, maybe you could take a few minutes to think about what people may actually want to see/hear and ensure that your lighting/backdrop is suitable.
I hear there are some cheap guns down there in Mexico…

Amen to that. I hate when a gun has a damn billboard on each side of the slide.
That made me think of those toy guns where “Bang” drops down from the barrel.
I could see someone substituting “Bang” for an advertisement. Though if it subsidized my ammo costs I might look into it…

I have a few guns that are dicked up from lawyer-directed engraving but that 92 has me the most pissed about it.

What is the huge green dot on the left side of the frame in front of the slide stop?
The green dot I assume is an inspection “mark” that the factory uses. All of my various Rugers have had one, many w/ a red dot as well.
yup..my LC-9 had the green dot too…
..glad I didn’t get the red dot, tho…
