Ultradyne announces it is entering the fast-growing pistol caliber carbine market with the ultimate performance 9mm compensator, the Lithium PCC 9mm.

The Lithium PCC 9mm is built in the USA using the same extensive testing and design that goes into all Ultradyne products. Competitive shooters already rely on Ultradyne performance when shooting 5.56, 6.5, and 7.62 calibers. The Lithium PCC adds the 9mm caliber to the Ultradyne high performance compensator family.

Ultradyne maximized the Lithium’s performance by utilizing the 9mm cartridge’s limited amount of expanding gas primarily for eliminating muzzle rise. The Lithium has four patent pending V-Ports™ that are designed to mitigate muzzle rise while keeping gas from interfering with the users line of sight. The Lithium 9mm PCC is especially effective on shorter AR pistol type carbines.

    • On a cold day, without that compensator, your face would get cold from lack of the blast each round would let you enjoy.

    • You really don’t understand or get it, do you? In PCC competition a compensator helps competitors shoot more quickly while maintaining accuracy.

      • 9mm has minimal recoil in a subcompact handgun.

There isn’t enough muzzle blast from a carbine for this to do anything other than be a muzzle weight.

Pretty sure it’s you that doesn’t get it, friend.

        • Do you shoot PCC carbine competitions? Have you shot, for instance a SIG MPX with and without a compensator? Maybe you have, on both counts. I can tell you however that the top competitors in PCC use compensators to keep the muzzle flatter between shots allowing for quick shots and greater accuracy. But I am pretty sure you don’t know what the heck you are talking about.

    • Seriously.

I was gonna bitch that Lithium is a lousy weak metal to make a comp out of, then I realized in an alloy it might make another metal a lot tougher.

But in keeping with your *crazy* theme, I offer a little classic Dr. Demento from my ‘yoot’ :

    • Mark,
Not really. I bought a Ruger PC-9 and I love that thing. Why did I buy it? I wanted something that used the same ammo as my Beretta 92 FS. I wanted a carbine with a threaded barrel so I could quickly interchange a certain thread on muzzle device. Besides that, it’s cheaper to shoot. I’m not interested in going I to combat with this thing. If that were the case I’d use an AR-15 and for longer ranges it’d be the old .30/06. As for a 9MM compensator they gotta be kidding but some people will buy anything. Maybe they’ll make one in .22 caliber?😂

    • There is a relatively new aluminum alloy that uses lithium. Supposedly great stuff and a bit lower density. I assumed this thing was made with Al-Li, but no. 416 stainless steel?

SpaceX uses it when building their Falcon 9 boosters…

  1. I’m looking forward to the first person to put this comp/sight combo on a handgun with an aftermarket threaded barrel. For the gram.

  2. I would really wonder about efficacy on a 16″ 9mm AR. I mean I just run a barrel nut on mine.

That said the sight is actually cool. I could use something like that.

        • I know *exactly* what I was talking about, and can prove it.

My comment was you polluting TTAG with the same comment multiple times, and you did, at least 4 times. The proof? Read this comment section.

Remove your head from your own ass, Paul… 😉

  3. Far be it from me to challenge the experts commenting so far, but people using a PCC 9mm in competition are looking to do everything g possible to achieve maximum speed and accuracy. This will help.

    • But everyone out there knows that nothing can beat the accuracy and speed of a Hi-Point, so why bother with all this stuff?

    • How many times are you going to post the same thing before you get a clue & realize this is nothing but hype.

If this has ANY effect at all it is purely psychological. This is the gun equivalent of Monster Cable HDMI cables. They (and this) literally do nothing.
