Turkish 12-Year Old Foils Istanbul Jewelry Store Heist

A ballsy crime-fighting Turkish 12-year old evidently couldn’t stomach standing by and watching an armed robbery take place. He was leaving a jewelry store in Istanbul’s Bagcilar district, when the masked bandit entered. The video shows the quick-thinking kid raise the thief’s gun hand while trying to land a right hook to his midsection. The unexpected push-back and approach of the shopkeeper flummoxed the bandit who ran from the store and was later arrested. There’s apparently no truth to the rumor that the heroic yoot has been offered a role as Hit Girl’s long lost brother in the upcoming Kick Ass sequel.

Wow- Kid had TOTAL situational awareness, responded instantly- older guy coordinated his action with the kid. Just awsome!

  2. avatar Ralph says:

The bad guy was a Turkey; he tripped over an Ottoman, and that’s no Istanbul.

  3. avatar Sutton says:

This kid has internalized Robert’s rule about imagining that every gun barrel has six feet of flame sticking out in front of it, and never letting that flame touch you. As for situational awareness, well, yes, it does pay to keep close tabs on the mask-wearing gent who has just walked into a jewelry store.

  4. avatar Javier E says:

Had the kid punched the criminal in the jewels this would have been on FHV the day after.

  5. avatar Don says:

That was impressive on so many levels. The kid clearly scoped the guy out extra hard on the way in and sensed danger. He reacted instantly, efficently, and was fully commited, no hesitation. He wasted not one movement on superflous “surprised” reflexes.
