TTAG’s New Website Update Is Coming!

Scott Witner - comments 13 comments

It’s time to light this fire. By the end of the week, we’re rolling out an updated website—sleek, modern, and built for the future, all while keeping the layout you know and love.

What’s changing? A fresh, modern look with the same intuitive design. We’ve moved to a new framework to make the site faster, more reliable, and better optimized for future updates. This means quicker load times, smoother navigation, and the ability to keep delivering the best firearms content without interruption.

There may be a brief downtime as we make the switch, but once we’re live, you’ll notice the difference where it matters most—speed, functionality, and an upgraded experience.

So, get ready. By Friday (at the latest), we go live. Lock. Load. Refresh.

Let us know what you think once we’re up and running!

  1. Ok, so far, today with the update, it does seem faster and it seems the moderation gremlin is somewhat being restrained. The layout, well, its kinda nice but is eerily similar to a previous incarnation – it seems a little more, I’ll call it, ‘economized’ on space for the layout but it is better than before the update. None of the “View All>” things are working, I guess they are still working on it. The comments that were in the articles previous to a few hours ago when this update started, are all gone right now so maybe they will come out when stuff gets settled/migrated/fixed-up.

  2. Sorry but I preferred the old layout over this new one. I like things the same size. Let me choose which story is important to me based on reading the headlines, rather than suggesting to me that a story is more important because ‘you’ decided to make the picture bigger. I also don’t find flip flopping the larger picture left and right under the different categories a good look. “Oh, I’m supposed to pay more attention to what is on the left side. Wait! Now I’m supposed to pay more attention to what is on the right side.” Just seems gimmicky to me.

  3. Meh… I’ll check back in a week. Between the moderation of, and now the apparent deleting of ALL previous comments, I guess we’ll have to consider if it’s still worth OUR time investment to be here.

    • It looks like the comments are back except for the recent front page articles. It no longer moderates at least some of those words like it did before. It will also post intact links.

  4. Let’s see if this 6th attempt since this article was first published earlier today will work. All previous ones were ghosted, even when I used different versions of my username, or an alternate email. For an announcement of the launch of a “new, sleek” site, this isn’t off to a good start.
