Vandalized Las Vegas billboard says ‘Shoot a School Kid’ – Donald “Counterpuncher” Trump would have had something to say about this desecration of a perfectly good billboard, although God knows what .  . .

An activist art collective, INDECLINE, claimed the vandalism and provided a video showing two people making changes to the sign. “This protest piece is in response to America’s longstanding obsession with gun culture and our government’s inability to honor the victims of mass shootings by distancing themselves from the homicidal policies of the (National Rifle Association),” the group wrote in a news release. The NRA did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Battlefield Vegas declined comment.

How to Buy a Gun in 15 Countries – Cherry picked data, incomplete and misleading information, lack of context. If it’s Friday it must be an anti-gun article in The New York Times . . .

Ohio teachers' target practice (courtesy foxnews.com)

School shootings prompt more teachers to consider carrying guns – If The People of the Gun didn’t have Fox News they’d have to invent it . . .

“The general public thinks that we’re just standing outside the doors of schools handing out guns,” Dean Rieck, the executive director of the Buckeye Firearms Association, told Fox News. “But we’re not trying to turn teachers into cops. We’re looking to give them the tools to save lives before the professionals arrive.”

Rieck and other pro-gun advocates noted the training teachers receive goes far beyond that of most local law enforcement agencies. The training includes not just basic gun skills and target practice, but everything from how to make a tourniquet and stanch a bullet wound to unorthodox shooting stances and SWAT team maneuvers.

Depending on the school district, teachers undergo between 40 and 150 hours of training before they can carry a concealed weapon on campus. They must also be able to hit a target with 90 percent accuracy. Most local police forces require only a 70 percent rate.

“If people could see the training we do and the depth of what we learn, I think that they would think differently about arming teachers,” said the Ohio language arts teacher.

MSNBC’s Velshi Wrongly Implies Guns Make U.S. Suicide Highest in World –

At 11:21 a.m. Eastern, co-host Ruhle read the NRA’s response to President Donald Trump’s comments supporting more gun control, in which the NRA indicated a desire to make American schools “safer.” Velshi then jumped in to introduce his list of studies: “So that’s just not what’s true. The NRA keeps saying that more guns keep people more safe, and study after study empirically proves it’s just not true.”

He then made a simplistic straw man characterization of the NRA’s views on how more gun ownership could protect Americans from crime. Here’s Velshi: “A key point of the NRA’s plans to make our schools and communities safe is simple: more guns.”

As he went through a list of studies claiming a number of dire consequences of owning guns, he then got to a study on suicides: “Many — most gun deaths in America are suicides. Nobody else in the world has numbers like American suicide deaths because of the number of guns we have.” . . .

Without citing any studies to the contrary, the MSNBC host concluded the segment: “All of the data shows that more guns do not mean more safety.”

Slate Explains Why Conservatives Are ‘Obsessed’ With Gun Rights. It’s As Insulting As You’d Expect. – Some good old-fashioned fisking from dailywire.com. Here’s the bottom line (literally) . . .

So, there you go. Conservatives’ various psychological afflictions add up to a group of overly paranoid, repressed, anger-filled, group-think prone folks who can’t help but be “obsessed” with guns. Thanks, Slate.

Another, less “nuanced” explanation: Conservatives actually believe that the U.S. Constitution enshrined citizens’ rights to defend themselves and are generally realists about human nature and the limits of authorities to protect individuals when faced with immediate threats.

Pasedena Police Lieutenant Vasken Gourdikian (courtesy losangeles.cbslocal.com)

Pasadena Police Lieutenant Accused Of Selling More Than 100 Guns Without A License –  Straw purchasing, no less . . .

Gourdikian was also indicted for allegedly making false statements during two gun purchases. Prosecutors say he claimed he was the actual buyer of the weapons even though he had already agreed to sell them to someone else.

He was also charged with possession of an unregistered, modified Sig Sauer model MPX 9mm short-barreled rifle.

According to the indictment, Gourdikian repeatedly requested law-enforcement waivers of 10-day waiting periods for the purchase of weapons and sold so-called “off roster” weapons that are only available to law enforcement officers or military personnel.

Authorities say he sold guns via the Calguns website, but despite not being a “licensed importer, licensed manufacturer or licensed dealer of firearms,” Gourdikian allegedly advertised “off roster” weapons.

“In these days of escalating gun violence, it is important to enforce our firearms laws vigorously,” said U.S. Attorney Nicola T. Hanna said. “Those who sell guns illegally need to be held accountable, especially those who abuse a position of public trust.”

JOHANN FANZOJ Four Barrelled Rifle Shotgun (courtesy ammoland.com)

JOHANN FANZOJ´s unbelievable “Four-Barrelled Rifle-Shotgun” – I’d rather have two shotguns . . .

The customer required that the Vierling fire four times in succession, with “hot” barrels; The platform should be a robust, reliable mechanism that would guarantee inherent quick handling characteristics – then quickly reload and continue in the same sequence, which in other words demands that the sporting weapon have ejectors for all four barrels!

“At this point it was definitely time to hold up the STOP sign – and run,” recalls Daniela Fanzoj, which the firm did not do, but rather “we took the bull by its horns, dug into this challenge and built this incredible weapon”. The result is a stunning and unsurpassed intricate mechanism, also being an object of culture and worth(value), which exhibits an amazing level of performance.

Four barrels, H&H style sidelocks, 4 individual automatic ejectors, did little to lessen this impressive sporting arm’s responsiveness and wonderful balance. Massive, without a doubt, but not “heavy” at all with a weight of 3,8kg this sporting weapon handles magnificently.

  1. That 4 barreled gun. No mention of calibers/gauges? It’s a work of art.

    • 9.3x74R, 20ga. Follow the link.

No mention of price either. I don’t care if it is 3 times what I make in a year, I gots tah know!

  2. Seems to me that the proper term for this item is “vierling”. Though I have only seen them with the rifle barrels top & bottom, shotgun barrels side by side, it is my understanding that the term refers to a four-barreled gun, no matter the configuration.

    • I believe these are intended for countries that restrict the number of firearms someone may own or have an arduous ownership process. A drilling (3 barrels) or vierling (4 barrels) lets them combine 2 to 4 equivalent guns. Some have a shotgun barrel and different rifle calibers for each barrel. The most common configuration that I’ve heard is a double barrel shotgun with a single rifle barrel. They’re heavy and expensive, although there are some lightweight survival guns that combine a rifle and shotgun if you like the concept.

  3. From the ‘Slate’ article –

“We all exaggerate risk, but conservatives are especially prone to exaggerate risks.”

That’s odd, because the ones screaming bloody murder about the ‘risks’ of having trained people with guns in schools potentially hurting or killing kids are the ‘Progressives’, not the conservatives.

    That’s a logic *Fail*, ‘Progressives’… 😉

    • And *another* gem from the ‘Slate’ article –

“Finally, another particular source of people’s beliefs may be identification with a charismatic political figure, such as a Ronald Reagan or a Donald Trump, who proclaims himself to be fighting the dragons on their behalf.”

The same way ‘Progressives’ were tripping all over their own slobbering tongues for Obama, who promised to “Fundamentally transform the United States of America.”?

      That one???

It sure didn’t take Trump long to slit the throat of Obama’s planned legacy transformative legislation, the ‘Affordable Care Act’, by killing off the individual mandate, Leftists…

      *snicker* 😉

  4. Gourdikian, wow, a cool cop who would have thunk it. Maybe there is something to Support Your Local Law Enforcement. …. The sign about shoot a kid,.the law ought to find out who did that and prosecute, bet I couldn’t get away with a “Kill a Muslim terrorist” vandalism. If they could make that shotgun discharge all the barrels at once that’d be neat. And conservatives obsessed over guns, nah we’re obsessed with the Constitution, one dominoes fall the rest may follow.

    • When I read the “off roster” blurb, I thought… Gourdikian, a cop doing something I really respect! Now, if we can just encourage many, many more to get involved in the grey or black market. Shall not be infringed. Now, go forth and profit, son. 🙂

  5. Love these, but can you number them in the future. I count seven (7). Let’s count them down, shall we?:

    1) Fing actual crime, by anti-gunners who should have their pelts similarly displayed.
    2) More NYT bullshit fake news (that rag still open or have foreign nationals taken over to attempt to overthrow our Constitution?).
    3) Good story about the teachers, but likely just FOX (anti-trump fake news) just trying to look fair & balanced. F dat.
    4) MSNBC – gay, anti-gun projection
    5) Slate – gay, anti-gun projection
    6) Crime by POS likely (D) California > = Pigs (not a pun)
    7) Amazing and beautiful shotgun to round us out. More sh_t I can’t afford yadda yadda yadda, not listening, I hate you.

  6. 9.3x74mmR but only 20 gauge? A version in .30-06 would be a better combination with 20 gauge, and 12 gauge or 10 gauge to match those big game barrels, imo. But it’s not likely I could ever afford a gun that fancy anyway.

Also probably could use some Magna-Porting.

  7. Those who sell guns illegally need to be held accountable, especially those who abuse a position of public trust.” You mean like Obama and the ATF did when they promoted the sale of at 100 illegal firearms to Mexican drug cartels, resulting in the death of a Border Patrol agent.
That 4 barrel is nice and getting it to fire all 4 barrels at once would not be that difficult. I had a Browning double that fired both barrels at the same time as a result of 1 firing pin being set too far forward, recoil did the rest as second firing pin never actually dropped.

  8. i guess its better than the “kill the nra” billboard

this difference between us and them:

    we can take a joke

  9. Gov. William J Le Petomane
Gov Faubus do you now realize that if you had listened to your teachers instead of stupidly dismissing them as “idiots” you would be aware of anthropogenic climate change and evolution and understand that a disproportionate number of black criminals tells us nothing about the other 98-99% of black folks, and likewise the non-relationship between Muslims and terrorism!?

I need an acknowledgment and a thank you wouldnt go amiss for helping you remedy a tiny fragment of your sprawling ignorance! : D

    • Moron. You addressed yourself in the comment Gov Faubus. “Gov Faubus do you now realize….” You’re a disgrace to all trolls every where.

    • I’m very much aware that humans are restoring carbon trapped in the earth’s crust for millions of years to the atmosphere and how that may impact the otherwise constantly changing climate as well as the benefits of increased atmospheric CO2. 11,700 years ago where I’m sitting right now was buried under 5000 feet of ice and sea level was 390 feet lower than today. There wasn’t a single living organism north of Des Moines, Iowa. Fortunately this changed (rapidly) without any human influence.

The good news is that higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere allow plants to grow faster, produce more food and require less water. The bottom line is that the earth c an support more life (plant, animal and human) with higher levels of CO2.

And it’s a good thing we came along when we did. For at least 650 million years the earth has been sequestering atmospheric CO2 in swamps and oceans that eventually become coal and oil. Before we came along CO2 was at it’s lowest level since complex multi-cellular life appeared. The current ice age (search that on Wikipedia) started 2.58 million years ago and it’s been getting worse as we are heading into it. The last ice age (the Karoo) lasted about 100 million years. The glaciers advance during ‘glacial periods’ and hang around for 100,000 years or so then retreat in ‘inter-glacial periods’ that last 20,000 years or so. During the last inter-glacial period most of the Greenland Ice Sheet disappeared (without any human help). During the last glacial period CO2 dropped to 110ppm. 50ppm would cause a mass extinction of plants. At the rate the earth was going that would have been only a few million years from now.

The bad news is that those glaciers will be coming back and when they do they’ll probably kill us all. Unless we c an warm the planet up enough to avoid this catastrophe.

As to not all blacks being incarcerated or all Muslims not being terrorists, I’m not sure what your point is so I’ll just ignore those.

    • I have to stand up for the cop. In my eyes, he did nothing wrong.

Background: California has a “safe” handgun roster, which is a list of older handguns that are grandfathered on the list because no new firearms on the market meet the requirements to be added to the list. Only law enforcement agents are allowed to purchase new guns that are not on the roster. These are handguns that normal people can purchase in almost every other state. For example, the Gen 4 Glock is too new to be grandfathered on the list and doesn’t meet the “safety” requirements to be added.

While the cop technically may have broken the law, it was an unjust law in my opinion. He was simply supplying the demand for guns that the state has artificially limited. If anyone should be in jail, it should be the state legislators who created the “safe” handgun roster, depriving the poor people of California their constitutional rights.

      • Spot on.

Hopefully, former water walker did not mean that the guy should be killed or raped for violating an unconstitutional and immoral law with “Put that COP in general population…” Unfortunately, I can’t think of any other way to take his comment. 🙁

      • Except that the Constitution grants the federal government the power to regulate commerce among the several states. Want to sell guns in interstate commerce? Get an FFL. Or don’t, and suffer the consequences.

        • Three things come to mind…

The first is that government is in gross breach of the Constitution and has been since before any of us were even born. Secondly, the interstate commerce clause has been so thoroughly abused by fed-gov as to be laughable. And lastly, shall not be infringed.

  10. Thank you Gov Faubus for posting that detailed evidence that you have ZERO understanding of anthropogenic climate change, and that inculcating that gibberish via home schooling would constitute intellectual child abuse.

Finally we discussed a point reasonably and arrived at a clear conclusion!

  11. “JOHANN FANZOJ´s unbelievable ‘Four-Barrelled Rifle-Shotgun'”

Yes, yes, yes, I suppose it’s very nice, but does it take Glock magazines?
