Creepy? You don’t say . . . ‘SHE’S A BAD B***H’ Texas church shooting – Facebook rants of ‘creepy’ gunman Devin Kelley, 26, who preached about atheism before killing 26 churchgoers

Devin Kelley, 26, who opened fire on worshippers in First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs yesterday, was described as “creepy” and “weird” by former schoolmates.

Classmate Nina Rosa Nava write on Facebook that the mass murderer used to rant on the social network about his atheist beliefs.

She said: “He was always talking about how people who believe in God were stupid and trying to preach his atheism.”

Fellow user Christopher Leo Longoria replied: “I removed him off FB for those same reasons! He was being super nagtive (sic) all the timd (sic).”

Langendorff said he didn’t get a good look at the shooter besides that he was in all black, but he saw and heard the gunfire. He said it seemed like Kelley was shooting a pistol at that point.

The neighbor, who Langendorff didn’t know, had what appeared to be an AR-15.

“The gentleman with the rifle came to my truck as the shooter took off, and he briefed me quickly on what had just happened, and said that we had to get him and so that’s what I did,” Langendorff said.

Does anyone have $64,000? . . . Boas: After Texas church shooting, here’s the question we should ask

If there is a provenance for these mass shootings in modern America it is Texas. Fifty-one years ago, a former Marine sharpshooter carried his footlocker full of rifles to the observation tower of the main building at the University of Texas in Austin and killed 15 people and injured 31 others.

Some 130-plus rampage shootings later, we are back in Texas pondering, “Why did this happen and how can we stop it?”

Poorly-timed, but is this really worse than the anti-gun left’s blood-dancing? . . . NRA Criticized for Tweeting About Gun Terminology Amid Deadly Texas Church Shooting

A few hours after the mass shooting, the NRA tweeted the post, entitled “It’s Time For a Vocabulary Lesson…” The story explains the difference between various terms including “semi-automatic assault rifles” and “AR-15s.” The tweet was later deleted, and the NRA did not respond to a request for comment from Fortune.

Many people joined Moulton in denouncing the NRA’s tweet. “Try to care about human people for like one minute?” one person wrote in response to the article.

As if it matters . . . The New York attack was labeled ‘terrorism.’ The Texas shooting wasn’t. Here’s why

“But do the thought experiment: If this attack on the church in Charleston had been conducted by a Muslim man shouting ‘Allahu Akbar,’ what is already a big news story would have become even bigger, as it would appear to fit so well into the political and media narrative that Muslim militants are the major terrorist problem in the United States,” Bergen wrote.

His comments get at what some observers have been saying for years — some acts of violence are only labeled terrorism if the attacker is dark-skinned and Muslim.

“There’s a danger that we only use the word ‘terrorism’ to refer to a particular racial profile of perpetrator,” said Andrew Mumford with the Center for Conflict, Security and Terrorism. “The Charleston example is a really important one … Sometimes (the label) terrorism is not used when the nationality of the perpetrator does not fit conventional stereotypes.”

Good, we’d been holding our breath waiting for this . . . LI congressional delegation condemns Texas church shooting

Members of the New York congressional delegation decried the shooting in Texas that killed more than two dozen people Sunday while Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo warned Americans not to become numb to such massacres. …

Cuomo said in a statement that Americans cannot become “numb to tragedy.”

“We cannot accept mass shootings as part of who we are — this can and must stop,” he said. “In the memories of those we lost today in Texas, and last month in Las Vegas, and last year in Orlando, and all across this nation, we must come together and say: Enough is enough,” Cuomo said.

Texas Motor Speedway skipped the six shooter celebration yesterday after the Sutherland Springs church shooting.

Texas Motor Speedway Drops Pistols From Its Post-Race Celebration After Church Shooting

Texas Motor Speedway’s Victory Lane celebrations are always full of nods to the wild west, with cowboy hats, huge flames, big Texas stars and Texas-shaped confetti. However, one part of their usual celebrations didn’t seem right after a mass shooting near San Antonio: letting the winner fire a pair of pistols in the air.

While there was still plenty of Texas kitsch to go around (I mean, just look at the trophy), Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage told USA Today that they were skipping the pistols out of respect for the 26 people killed Sundaywhen a shooter opened fire on the First Baptist Church congregation in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

“In light of what happened, it was the respectful thing to do,” Gossage told USA Today.

  1. america doesn’t have a gun problem

    america has an asshole problem

and the way i see it most of the assholes that do this type of repugnant shit lately have been either leftists or muslims that vote for politicians that have a d behind their name

the last person that voted for politicians that had an r behind their name that did something like this that i can remember is scott loeder 8 years ago

the democrat party will soon learn the hard way the definition of the word reckoning at the ballot box as a result

    • If you were meaning to say Scott Roeder then it is hardly a corollary – he assassinated an abortion doctor.

Hardly as mass murder, more an assassination of a mass murderer, although it is probable that all the babies Tiller would have killed died anyway.

  2. “If there is a provenance for these mass shootings in modern America it is Texas. ”

There have been way WAY more of both mass shootings and general homicide per capita in Maryland

  3. Same thing, different day, from all of the anti-gun/freedom crowd. Shouldn’t expect anything less from these asshats. Crowder just released an interview between him and Stephen Willeford. Really good stuff. This is a great man. He was really squared away and has his head on right, and is a modern day hero.

This will either be the push to get a massive pro gun legislation through, or a massive anti gun piece through. Hopefully Stephen Willeford’s actions and story will be enough to convince people that disarmament is not the way to go. Stay vigilant and aware, everyone. I don’t think this is the last thing to happen.

  4. WE THE PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO THE PURSUIT OF LIFE, LIBERTY, and HAPPINESS. Assault rifles infringe on that right. The Supreme Court has stated we have a right to regulate and ban certain firearms. We must, as a nation, as a people, as citizens, as neighbors, as church goers, stand together to ban assault rifles. We MUST ban the following: Assault rifles (yes, they are assault rifles); fully automatic weapons made before 1986 which are now legal; bump stocks; hollow bullets; exploding bullets; magazines that carry more than 3 rounds; tracers; body armor and bullet proof vests. These are the tools of mass murder, not lawful citizens. A WELL REGULATED MILITIA. WELL REGULATED. BAN these weapons of serial murder! I, we, have a right to the pursuit of life! WE DEMAND IT.

These types of incidents don’t happen in Europe, Canada, Japan or Australia on a daily basis. These countries seem to be continuing to do fine without some NRA nut with a chip on his shoulder and armed to the teeth.

Guns are not freedom. The countries I spoke of and went was probably where I’ve felt most free, and nobody carries guns there. Australia had a mass shooting with an AR-15 and banned military semi-auto rifles. No mass shootings since then. Men fight there, like real fighting, with their fists. WAY tougher than these flabby NRA cousin-screwing TTAG cowards.

If you want a right-wing paradise, where every man over age 10 walks around with an AK, religion is respected, and women know their place. move to Somalia. This is America. We REAL AMERICANS not like that.

    • Might I suggest the Hillsdale courses on the constitution. They are very well researched, full of facts, and quite informative on all part of our founding documents.

We will be hear when you get back.

      • No, Hillsdale is delusional American Exceptionalist cult nonsense, as you would expect since its main marketer is the retrograde lunatic Mark Levine… for reality hire me to tutor you for $65, Ill make you a genuine Great American : D

        • You stated in a post you’d be ” happy to help the common man.” I’m a common man and ask for 6500$ I think it was, I’d take less. Any amount with three zeos behind a 6 would work, wood work. I will email you my address, .Or you can direct deposit to my bank.Thank you

        • I don’t trust someone who hates America to make me a great American. Further, I specifically don’t trust you to make me great at anything.

    • “These are the tools of mass murder, not lawful citizens.”

Excluding that armed lawful citizen that stopped the killer in Sutherland, Texas? Or all of the other millions of defensive gun uses each year in The United States of America?

    • RealAmericanBlahBlahBlah Dude, you are literally my favorite commenter here, I thoroughly enjoy reading your ridiculous rants! Godspeed, and good luck to you sir, you’re gonna need it!

    • Really????? Fisrst of all…. nope not moving… and id like to see you make me.
Secondly why is it you only post after an asshat like you pulls some cowardly crap like this….
Oh wait i know…. its because your mommy Shannon tells you too.

Anyway…. back to the story. Big props to the guy who had presence of mind to grab his own gun and shoot back. This could have been a lot worse.
I got the feeling the air force is gonna get some heat over this.

    • As you said, “This is America”. In America, we have something called the Second Amendment. If its truly guns that make you so uncomfortable, feel free to move to a country that doesn’t allow it. You stated that you have felt more free in countries other than America, what’s keeping you here.

    • For Dan Zimmerman it doesnt matter that white American mass shooters are not always or immediately accurately termed terrorists.

These are the values of this Islamophobic racist site

      • I don’t recall the Washington Navy Yard mass gun murderer or the Virginia Tech mass gun murderer labeled as terrorists, despite being non-white.

      • Hey wackyblacky with a gun,

“These are the values of this Islamophobic racist site”

No, but we’re willing to learn, you keep showing us the way. There’s US against Them. Thanks for helping to figure out who ain’t us.

      • Rob “NazyCegroWithAGun” Williams – Words have meaning.

        ter·ror·ism
        noun
the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

Until a political motive is found it is not terrorism. Notice there is no mention of skin color in listed as a
requirement. At this point that is why the Vegas shooting and the Texas shooting are not classified terrorism, the motives have not been found to be political.

    • They don’t bother with guns in mass killings in Australia. They just burn the building down while everyone sleeps.

Look up the Childers Backpacker Hostel fire as an example.

    • NRA has a 58% approval rating. And Australia has had as many mass murders, in fact more mass murder of children AFTER their gun confiscation compared to before.
Australia is a case which shows gun control makes things worse, not better.

    • You sound like a rootless transnational globalist. Seriously this is like “Steve” from Bombay trying to sell me knock off Constitutional rights. Go away funny sounding fake American.

    • A man with an AR15 broight the shooting to an end. The very thought in you diatribe is overshadowed by this fact.

Also, daily in Eastern Europe mass shooting happen with actual automatic weapons. You wont hear about in the main stream.

Canada? The population density compared to the US is laughable. That is why there are not more mass shootings showing up in the mainstream media.

You espouse ideas that are completely in libe with this most recent shooter, and the shooter of Steve Scalise, which also falls into line with the liberal playbook, and with disarmament comes impression.

As a final thought, everytime I read one of your posts, you remind of the Shareblue shills that infest many forums across the internet. Not saying you are, but scale back the rhetoric and people might actually debate with you instead of calling you a concern troll or worse, because you come off as much worse.

Please disregard spelling errors and grammatical gaffes. I have fat fingers and a tiny mobile phone screen.

      • He apparently doesn’t remember the Canadian Muslim who killed a Canadian soldier and shot up Parliament a couple years ago with a Winchester 94 30-30 before he was killed by the Sergeant At Arms with his (rare there) 9mm S&W service pistol.

    • Consider that the world’s oldest government also has a provision that ensures its citizens may own firearms. This country is so old because it has never had a coup, the most common form of overthrow. A very, very stable government. It has lasted so long because anyone thinking of launching a coup has realized the citizens won’t stand for it and they have the means to stop it. You may have heard of this place. It is the USA.

    • I urge you to pay more attention to the news if you think these things don’t happen on a daily basis in Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia as well. Also, please clarify how 80+ men, women, and children being crushed by a speeding truck, or 50+ men having their throats slit by knife wielding maniacs is somehow better than 26 people being shot by a Leftist on SSRI meds? If you cared about people, you’d be looking for solutions, not totems.

    • “These types of incidents don’t happen in Europe, Canada, Japan or Australia on a daily basis.”

      You’re right, they don’t.
They don’t happen on a daily basis here, either.
When you need to resort to distortion to make yourself believe something, then what you believe is wrong.

An AR-15 is not an assault rifle. You can say it is, but it isn’t.
When you need to resort to distortion to make yourself believe something, then what you believe is wrong.

“Australia had a mass shooting with an AR-15 and banned military semi-auto rifles. No mass shootings since then.”

      Again, wrong. Look it up.
When you need to resort to distortion to make yourself believe something, then what you believe is wrong.

As a tro, you miss something. A decent troll will have a few nuggets of truth with the stupidity. You don’t.
You’re not even a troll. You’re just spitting out words.

  5. People still like to distort words to fit their delusional reality. I am sure people were terrified both in NewYork and the church in Texas. The reason New York is considered terrorism is because it was an attempt to advance a political agenda with violence. The Texas shooting was not political.

  6. Massachusetts’ own Seth Moulton is perhaps the biggest POS who ever wasted the Earth’s oxygen. He’s the Dem poster boy who hopes one day to be POTUS. If he succeeds, the US is doomed.

If you think that Elizabeth Warren is a lowlife, you don’t know Seth Moulton. Yeah, he’s that bad.

    • I know Elizabeth Warren is an astute politician with a firm grasp of public policy and an ardent social justice impulse…
And bearing in mind that the hardest thing for any of us to do is to really see ourselves the way others do, have you taken a look in the mirror lately, done any self-reflection in recent times, is it possible that you are the low life… because, Ill be honest with ya, I would cut my balls off, OK, I would cut my fawkin balls off if I could as fantastique as Elizabeth Warren OK?!

  7. This happened because … there are some bat ass crazy people in the world. Lots of them in fact. Nothing new. What can be done? Decide what sort of exposure you’re comfortable with in life and live your life accordingly. And be prepared, to whatever degree you want, and whatever that means for you.

  8. Not trying to trash anyone here but after most mass shootings there are a lot of comments about avoiding crowds. I can’t help but wonder what percentage of the people who say things like that still go to church and don’t realize they just joined a crowd that might be a target.

Just wait until some terror group figures out how to do shit right. Damn, that’s gonna be a mess and if they really do it right they’ll be hitting a few small towns pretty hard.

    • END ALL GUN FREE ZONES NOW.

No if’s ands, or but’s. It’s now an irrefutable fact, good guys with a gun save lives.

  9. Still praying for the surviving families of this evil pos’s attack on American values. Please visit the go fund me page and give a dollar or what ever you can.
Once again a good guy with a gun stopped the bad one.
I wonder how many in that church, that fateful morning, reached for the pistol they left at home that day. Never again.

  10. Not in Georgia. We have the right to carry in church. No questions asked. Everybody I know is packing all the time. Glad I don’t live in a slave state.

    • GA law states that the church must “opt in” and allow its parishioners to carry and must notify the congregation in writing. Otherwise, if you are caught, it is a misdemeanor and $25 fine. This is infinitely better than the felony 25 year sentence maximum it usd to carry but, still not totally free. But, we’re getting there

      • No provision in the law that the church must inform anyone in writing. They actually “opt out” of the general prohibition against weapons in churches, but there is no defined process. The “governing authority” could decide to permit guns but not actually tell anyone. It is a non-arrestable offense subject to a fine of not more than $100.

  11. MORE BULLSHIT PROOF THAT “GUN CONTROL” REGS ARE PURELY OF THE HONOR SYSTEM, AND THE ONLY ONES’ “HONORING” IT ARE THOSE SELF-REGULATED.

IT’S ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT FOR ANYONE TO CLAIM THAT THEY ARE (OR CAN) PROTECT YOU (ESPECIALLY WITH GUN CONTROL).

GUN RIGHTS PROTECT YOU FROM GOVERNMENT.
    GUN CONTROL PROTECTS GOVERNMENT FROM
    Y O U.

    • “Antifa” terrorism aimed at the fascists who just happened to attend the same church as the murderer’s in-laws….

  12. Be it an AR or a more looking hunting rifle. All are capable of more rounds than 5. If your going to close it down to 5. People can reload those mags fast into the rifle, so really makes no sense.

  13. The biggest mass murder this decade was still done with an aircraft. The German wings crash killed 5x the people this church shooting, yet it never gets mentioned in the media. It was perpetrated by a German pilot. It also doesn’t get called a mass murder if you search for it when it sure as hell is.
