Trading Shears for Shots, Barber Cuts Loose on Bandit in Self-Defense

A man strode into a San Antonio barbershop looking for more than just a little off the sides and began waving a gun and demanding wallets and purses from the patrons in the establishment.

When one of the barbers, a 26-year-old man who was part owner of the business, didn’t comply quickly enough, the bandit began pistol whipping him. He then turned toward the other owner of the shop, a 51-year-old woman and showing he was full of tricks, pulled out a handful of zip ties.

The other owner may have been down, but he was far from out, and while he may have been slow to initially comply, he wasn’t about to hang out any longer and see what played out. He had already tried the peaceful approach and all it got him was pistol whipped. So, with that, he whipped out his own gun, took aim and went high and tight with multiple rounds into the man’s chest.

Emergency services arrived on the scene and took the wounded bandit to a hospital before he could leave a tip but the man eventually expired. He should’ve gotten a haircut before attempting to rob the place, then he could’ve at least looked good at his open casket funeral.

The lesson here: Don’t mess with the barbershop or the barber; you’ll get cut down!

    • Zip ties or being taken to the “back room”.

That’s when you make your last stand. Either or both is the bad guy planning to kill you and everybody else wearing a plastic bracelet.

Or putting a round in the back of all your heads once you’re in “the back room.”

  2. Another idiot we no longer need to concern ourselves with. A barber shop. Really? Back in the day the barber was often the only person in town with instruments sharp enough for surgery. The Pole was far the patient to hold onto. The red stripe is for blood. The white for bandages. The blue to separate a barber from a surgeon.

    • When a lawyer is required to explain how clever a letter is, the public is the patsy.

The proper direction from the USAG would be, “No new regulations shall be issued, or clarified, without the express approval of the USAG.”

      • Trump had previously, last week, issued an EO prohibiting any new regulations for all agencies for a period of 90 days. Then another EO previously that for every new regulation after that, 10 previous ones had to be rescinded.

The USAG issued a memo that confines the ATF, for firearms, to ‘existing’ regulatory function and not law enforcement. It basically re-tasked their law-enforcement status to immigration and drugs. This means they will not be playing-terrorist mounting up tactical teams to terrorize and ‘murder’ people for the ’cause we say so’ and bogus ‘self-granted self-serving re-interpretation of law power’ and ‘self-granted defacto-law-making-usurping-congress power’ reasons they used under Biden and under the ‘deliberate defacto-law-making-usurping-congress’ rule-by-fiat EO’s Biden issued.

These are first steps. Basically, evaluation of whats there, then do away with the bogus and unconstitutional. I would think there will be court cases the DOJ will pull out of, asking for dismissals, as they are clearly continuation of the Biden-Harris regime tyranny.

        But, time will tell.

  4. “… Cardenas was initially hospitalized with life-threatening injuries …”. Do you suppose the barber used a JRB wonder-9mm lung blower?

    • Okay, that’s funny. “It’ll blow out your lung!”

Still waiting for the date of the Biden funeral. Dude was fading fast, even though word has it he STILL thinks either he or Harris could have won the election!

      • He also thinks his uncle was eaten by cannibals, he was arrested in South Africa with Nelson Mandela, and he was raised in a black church. OR he thinks everyone is too stupid to see through his constant lies. To be fair, he’s probably been telling lies for so long that his senile mind actually believes them now.

  5. Well, we had a little shit storm here yesterday/this morning that may be of interest to some here. I-10 passes through here. No surprise that at each of the four exits there are motels and convenience stores. There’s a young man passing from West to East with nefarious purposes in mind when he decided he needed to make a cash withdrawal from an ATM with his version of a debit card. Two dead. Two wounded. It was the clerk’s second day on the job. Victim #2 was the Anhauser Busch delivery driver. The owner of the distributorship is a friend. When I saw the truck in the crime scene tape on the local news I gave him a call. He confirmed the worst. Later I get a call from the county sheriff. He wants me to call my friend and let him know that his company policy led to the resolution of the case. Years ago my buddy decided to place cameras in his trucks for security/liability reasons. The camera on his truck recorded the suspect vehicle/tag. The vehicle was tracked eastbound until it was intercepted around Lake City. Anyway, Suwannee, Columbia Co SO and FHP involved in pursuit and gunfight. Deputy wounded. The locals advised to shelter in place, keep children home, etc. I know that area. It was for the suspect’s safety. Anyway, they ran him down and there was another gunfight. The bad guy losing the worst way he could. Just thought it was an interesting story. I never walk into a convenience store without looking through the window first.

A sparrow flew into a pile of cowshit. The owner of the cowshit is a friend. (Moooo)
I thought the sparrow would die before it ever fought it’s way out.

      • Nawww, birds get buried in cow dung all the time. They’re cold-blooded, and the dung can provide some warmth.

I’m thinking that the entire ATF staff should be wishing they could sleep a night in a big pile of cow dung tonight. Still gets chilly north of 10.

Thanks for the info. The video capture from the store was so grainy I was wondering how they id’ed the vehicle. Huge break catching up to this guy, but what a shitty thing for the driver and the clerk!

      RIP.

The other 3 casualties probably need prayers too.

Much as I hate codes and regs, I wish the state would set minimum standards for store imaging devices. Looking forward to hearing more on the shooter’s history, but not holding my breath.

  6. How to Get Arrested by ICE in One Easy Step.

“There sure are a lot of politicians out there right now virtue signaling about how they will do anything in the powers to prevent criminals from being deported from our country. Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses the legal jeopardy that they will be placing themselves in by engaging in such activity. Under Federal law, no state employee is required to assist Federal agents in deportation efforts. But the law clearly states that any attempt to harbor, conceal, hide, delay or obstruct deportation efforts, is in fact, a felony. So learn who might be going to jail and why…”

  9. So, That’s Who Was Running the Country After Joe’s Disastrous CNN Debate.

“Lindy Li, a Democrat-turned-MAGA supporter, continues her media tour, spilling her former party’s behind-the-scenes drama, which kicked off reports that top donors are furious that they collectively shelled out $2 billion and got the brakes beaten off them by Donald Trump and the Republicans. She also offered insight into the delusional world Democrats wallowed in before Election Day, where some thought Iowa was within their reach.

Now, she revealed that Hunter Biden ‘commandeered’ the White House after Joe Biden got pummeled by Donald Trump in the June debate on CNN, which eventually became an election-killing event for Democrats. It gets even more insane: Hunter Biden took over the White House. That’s what Li alleges—it wasn’t Lady McBiden, aka Jill, it was Hunter. The former Democrat donor shared these details with Shawn Ryan.

‘After the [CNN] debate, Hunter basically commandeered the White House. He sat in on all of the White House top level meetings. We had a former cocaine addict sitting in on the most sensitive meetings of the most consequential and most important government in world history. Does that sit right with you?’

I hope Trump, Musk, and the entire Cabinet are super careful with their safety.

There will no-doubt be people who would not hesitate at murder, just to protect themselves.

  11. The barbershops I went to as a kid all were full of Field & Stream, Shooting Times, Outdoor Life, etc. I would guess there was a pistol in at least one drawer or a shotgun in the back room in every one of them.

  12. Bye-bye perpie. If (and that’s a big if) DA charges the shooter, we should donate enough so he can hire Daniel Penny-level defense attorneys. Plenty of witnesses and you can bet the farm those zip-ties weren’t for securing loose wires to tidy up the place.
