Top Shot competitor Michelle Viscusi has added her .02 to our recent post on her National Guard TV ad. Rightly or wrongly (methinks she needs to dial-up the sarcasm detector), the Divine Miss M isn’t happy with some of you guys . . .

“First off, it wasnt just me who got picked to do an interview in Basic. Yes i went to better my self as a person and i wanted some training and the experience to then become a cop later in life. I am going to college for my degree. Jesus people, could you judge an harder? ‘This ad is so sexist and insulting to most women in the Army. I think it is discrimination to use a cute woman in an ad and not an unattractive, loyal, hard-working, and efficient large woman to represent the service.’ How is it sexist? . . .

I fucking worked hard through Basic like any one else. I was a PT stud, Paid attention, and had a great experience. If you thinnk i looked cute there… lol anyways. Who says im not loyal or hard working? Thats Bullshit. Plus why in the hell would a fat ass be in the army? That isnt Army standards.”

  1. Yeah, except for Phil’s rant, the majority of comments, including Aharon’s, were with tongue firmly in cheek.

But I only know that because I’ve seen Aharon’s posts before. She can be excused her misunderstanding.

    • Actually, because I’ve read Aharon’s other comment’s, I took that comment at face value. It didn’t read as tongue in cheek at all, coming from him.

      • Carlos, some of my comments at TTAG are tongue in cheek and some are not on just about all subjects. Some of my comments are a mix. In this case my comments were joking with some serious undertones. You Carlos can probably always be counted on to be the chivalrous male who would give up his seat in the lifeboat to another simply because that person has XX chromies and you don’t. Time to boycott chivalry since most modern womyn don’t deserve it.

        • “Time to boycott chivalry since most modern womyn don’t deserve it.”

let me guess, this comment is tongue and cheek too?
along with the previously mentioned article’s comment from you,

“If she was in a thong she would not be boring. I didn’t find anything she had to say interesting or new, so yup boring.”

yeah, sounds like you don’t hold chivalry in high regard. Thank you for raising serious red flags about whether or not humans are really evolving…

        • Nope. That comment wasn’t tongue in cheek. I support equality for all equally. If men don’t receive chivalry equally in this modern era then others don’t either. You need me to raise those red flags about human evolution with what has been going on openly in modern American society the past forty years?

        • well, if you aren’t chivalrous because people aren’t chivalrous to you, that is a poor excuse in my opinion.

Please, tell me about your epiphanies when it comes to human evolution. Im curious.

To me, I notice a childish, overly self indulgent generation hellbent on instant gratification with “self entitlement” syndrome. This video sums it up well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJD8pZiRIzs

Long gone are the days where young men are taught to be self-sufficient, hard-working, and chivalrous. The objectification of women is only the tip of the iceberg.

    • Hi Matt,

Yeah, I was mostly having fun. I was also indirectly poking fun from a few days earlier, after another posting and comments party, when Carlos and another dude did a feminist attack on me for daring to criticize the often unaccountable behavior and attitudes of many modern womyn. Mostly. Yet it is true that the Army focused on…what’s her name again? Oh yeah, Michelle because she is a hottie and good for Army recruiting and public relations propaganda. I can’t see the Army using a dog-faced slob for pr.

BTW, I never said Michelle (I remembered her name!) was not loyal or didn’t work hard (even though women get PT’d to a less degree than men unless they have changed that lately too).

How did that old Army marching song go? “The women in the Army they say they are mighty fine. You ask for Rachel Welch and they give you Frankenstein”. Michelle isn’t the bride of Frankenstein 🙂 It’s been a number of years since I checked out the asses of women in the Army. Air Force women were usually nicer in the rear area.

  2. I am glad I didn’t get on her bad side! I think she rocks, as a shooter, a soldier, and a woman… dare I say it? The trifecta…

    • Yeah, one episode and a few posts and videos have you sold. You’re *not* easy.

Cute, major tats, and a poor grip. Trifecta.

      • I never said I wasn’t easy – but in all seriousness, what do we know about her? Nothing on the show is “real”, frankly. I think I just give people the benefit of the doubt more often than not. She did serve (soldier), she can shoot (top shot), and I am pretty certain she is a woman – where did I miss something?

  3. I really like her on the show and I picked her as my favorite(I guess I’m a sexist pig) before I saw the first airing. I still hope she does well and it’s to bad that she took the comments as an insult.

  4. The old saw states that every hot woman has a man who is sick of her attitude. In Ms. Viscusi’s case it would seem such a man must watch not only his speech but her right hand’s proximity to her 4 o’clock region.

    • That quote was attributed to Lee Travino who allegedly told a group of friends that somewhere, someone is sick of that cutie’s shit.

    • I kind of assumed that RF did some vetting before he put up this post. At least, I hope so. This post was actually published before her comment hit the previous thread.

  5. Teflon blog:
I fucking worked hard through Basic like any one else. I was a PT stud, Paid attention, and had a great experience. If you thinnk i looked cute there… lol anyways. Who says im not loyal or hard working? Thats Bullshit. Plus why in the hell would a fat ass be in the army? That isnt Army standards.

Sort of like my youngest daughter in Tae Kwan Do, Cross Country, Track Team and National Honor Society. Go for it Michelle!

  6. “This ad is so sexist and insulting to most women in the…”
    “I think it is discrimination…”

It can be lots of fun to occasionally play off and turn around the bizarre things said by the PC left-wing crowd with their non-stop whining about sexism and discrimination this and that blah blah blah… BTW, no to our few liberal commentators, I’m not saying Michelle is anywhere near to being a PC left-winger — just want to add and clarify that before it too gets a hyper reaction from someone who has too much salt in their diet.

  7. Maybe Michelle isn’t the least bit put-off or pissed-off at any of us guys, myself aside. Perhaps she is simply responding to the TTAG to prolong the drama and keep her name alive in the media. Beware the indirect sleight of hand.

  8. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I think that “Top Shot” is as good a reality show as “Khloe and Lamar.” Maybe even better.

  9. It is necessary, isn’t it, to inspire comments from a variety of angles? “Something for everybody” is not a bad concept. Readers are no more sexist to note Michelle’s fit form…and shooting…than are the typical financial blog commentators to recognize the non-financial assets of the latest ‘money honey.’ I would say, in Michelle’s behalf, that she doesn’t appear, like a news babe, layered with 2 grams of wet-look lip gloss.

  10. I think the video was clipped off. She said, “Hi, mom. How do I look? Can you see my breasts?”

I find it hard to take seriously any woman who wears a shirt like that, whether it’s in a coffee bar on Via Veneto or at the shooting range. And I find it less than credible when all the guys pretend she’s doing anything other than showing off her tits.

  11. You know guys, I’m perfectly capable of making beautiful women hate me all by myself, I don’t need any help from the rest of you.

  12. LOL i think we should do this. All of you post a picture of yourselves and let everyone criticise you about EVERYTHING they dont like, rather than the positives. Then see how you feel and see if you still talk shit about others. My oh my, how it is hard to please everyone. 😉 Any who, thanks for the positive feed back to some of you .
