Three Wounded in Louisville NFAC/BLM Rally Negligent Discharge [VIDEO]

Yesterday’s NFAC (the Not [email protected] Around Coalition)/BLM march and demonstration in Louisville featured a negligent discharge by one of the armed participants. The stray round was touched off as the group assembled in a local park before marching in support of Justice for Breonna Taylor.

From WHAS11:

According to LMPD, three victims were sent to the hospital as a result of a discharge from a member of the NFAC demonstration.

All of the members…involved are affiliated with the NFAC and there no outstanding suspects, police say.

In a statement, LMPD interim chief Robert Schroeder said, “This is a tragic situation that could have been much worse. I encourage anyone choosing to exercise their Second Amendment rights to do so responsibly.”

Well, yes. That begins with the four rules of gun safety, something the NFACers would have done well to emphasize to everyone before they assemble. In case they need a refresher:

The Four Rules of Gun Safety

Watch the video above. Many in the crowd seem to have taken muzzle discipline lessons from the McCloskeys.

Maybe this was the same mook who had a jammed long gun at Stone Mtn.

Grand Master Jay said “we had an accident, it happens”.

He apparently has no idea how serious this is, some idiot in Austin found out the hard way, of you point a gun at someone, and they’re armed too, results happen.

Yes, accidents happen. However, they only have bad results when you forget all four of the laws. Have I had an unintended discharge? Yes. Was my firearm pointed downrange at the time? Also yes. Nobody injured, a stern warning from the range master, and a lesson learned by me.

        1. avatar I Haz A Question says:

Thankfully I’ve never experienced an ND over my 25+ years of firearms handling, but I’ve seen others, and was standing within several feet of people to my left one time when an inattentive shooter still had a shell in his shotgun (and his finger on the trigger) when he turned to hand off the gun to his buddy. Fortunately, the barrel was tilted at an upward angle when he ND’d, but the muzzle was only 12 inches above his buddy’s head. That was many years ago, and although I wasn’t involved, being a witness to it left an indelibly impression on me.

        2. avatar I Haz A Question says:

Oh, forgot to add that I myself was once reprimanded by a range master. During a Tactical Shotgun course, I inadvertently loaded up my gun with slugs instead of 00 buck while we were at the 15 yard line. The closest slug was allowed for the (all steel) targets was 35 yards for safety due to projectile splatter, and the Ammo Bunker hadn’t informed me of their temporary change of delivered shells. For identification’s sake, slug and buck high brass are supposed to be different colors to avoid mixup, but their recent receipt of ammo had the same colors for an unknown reason they couldn’t later explain. So that day’s batch of slug looked **exactly** like buck, and I shot two or three shells on the line until the range master yelled for everyone to stop, came over to check, commanded me to unload and drop all shells on the ground, and leave the line for that exercise. Was also given the (correct and proper) warning that if it happened a second time, I’d be disqualified from the course and sent home.

That was a major lesson for me to always be sure of my ammo, no matter what. While it was an unexpected mess-up on the Ammo Bunker’s part, it is always my own responsibility to know what I’m shooting with my gun. Very embarrassing, but very solid lesson.

ABC News put out a seriously Fake News piece about this yesterday on YouTube. I almost couldn’t believe it. After I heard about the incident, I searched YT, and it was a top recommendation. They showed two groups facing off across a large street intersection. Both groups were behind fencing. The reporter only said shots were fired and people were injured. Then he gestured across the street and said that’s a right wing white group called Three Percenters. It looked like about 20 armed white dudes. No one was shouting or angry. They were casually hanging out. One white dude was even making a heart with his hands.

Then the reporter again says shots were fired earlier. He didn’t say anything about a negligent discharge. Then he says this group here (as he literally gave a thumbs up) is a black left wing group. The video was about three minutes. Finally at the very end of the video he quickly mentions that the shot fired may have been a negligent discharge. I just searched for the video, and they’ve removed it. See how fake news works?

That’s not how it works. They can own guns. Nothing illegal or wrong about it. The difference is how and why they use them.

  8. avatar Randy Jones says:

Once again, we have a group trying to act tough and they make us all look bad. They want to make a presence, and they did. One negligent discharge (from the sound of it) put three of there own in the ER and threw mud on every other gun owner in the country. From the video, with people all looing in different directions, muzzling others it’s a wonder more weren’t hurt.

The real Militia was made up of every able bodied male (today that could be person) over the age of 16. Obviously, back in those days people were taught to respect firearms much better than the NFAC does. And the truth is they may actually have better training than others do. I liked their comment to the local news, “accidents happen”, like it’s no big deal. Funny, I’ve been hunting, shooting and carrying for 45+ years. None of the people I have ever been with during that time has had an accident. Back to the fundamentals, until then, drop the ‘Not’ from your name.

Yep, that’s my real name, and I don’t cover my face when I carry a gun openly or concealed (’till the Corona-gedden requirement). Unless you’re ashamed of what you’re doing, why hide the face.

    1. avatar Someone says:

These people don’t represent all gun owners. Any bad light or mud from this incident belongs to them exclusively. I

That said, in any large enough group accidents do happen. Ask the armed forces how many they lose every time there is a big exercise.

      1. avatar Randy Jones says:

Really? How much do you want to bet this isn’t used by some anti-gun group to blame the NRA, and every gun owner. I know they don’t represent me or you, but the anti-gun folks think they are just another typical pro-gun advocate half an inch away from pulling at trigger. And you can damn sure bet that the billionaire backed Lame Stream News Media won’t cover the Citizens Marksmanship Program, Eddie Eagle or any other responsible gun owner, just the stupid crap.

Having said that; there are about 1,000,000 new gun owners since Corona-gedden hit us. We as a part of this community, need to be ready to help them learn to be responsible gun owners. Because if we don’t, more stupid stuff will happen and it will come back to bite us all.

        1. avatar Andrew Lias says:

Honestly I somehow have my doubts. The reason is simple, it doesn’t fit the narrative. That many black people owning guns certainly isn’t an idea they want to promote either. Even if they are leftists and sloppy handlers of their weapons the fact there’s lots of them may give traditional Democratic blocks pause to go “with all the shit happening in the world maybe I want a handgun/AR/whatever too.” That’s happening right now (read the article about what the latest round of background checks look like demographically) and it could always be “worse” for them.

  9. avatar Me2 says:

” The stray round was touched was off ” Ha, was it lost and not well fed too? It not a “stray round”, it’s a Negligent Discharge ” AKA “Some dumb-ass pulled the trigger” We have nothing to fear from these idiots, who will most likely eliminate themselves for you. Apparently any life doesn’t matter to these fools.

  10. avatar former water walker says:

So the Black Loosers Mutter bunch have a “militia” huh?!? Do they “get”the vast majority of white gun owner’s are against cop’s killing innocent black women in their sleep? Amazing the different mafia er media spin between black & white so-called militia’s…

    1. avatar Darkman says:

Funny that the first words out of their mouths after the shooting were: Medic Medic Medic. Meaning EMT’s. You’d think such a well trained (sarc) group would have their own Med team members. I know our group does. 1 doctor and 3 nurses with full Trama kits. For those possible SHTF scenarios.

    2. avatar Green Mtn. Boy says:

“NFAC (No Fu*king Around Coalition) a self-described ‘black’s only’ militia were the victims of an accidental discharge by one of their own members.”

That sounds racist “blacks only”. I thought from what the MSM is pushing blacks are incapable of racism, this sounds differently.

      1. avatar Sam I Am says:

“I thought from what the MSM is pushing blacks are incapable of racism…”

The still are. Non-whites cannot be guilty of racism because they are not powerful enough to enforce “racism” on whites. Racism can only stem from white superiority. When that is gone, drawing tribal boundaries will be the rule of the day, and we all know distinct tribes have always lived in peace with each other, until the white man came.

        1. avatar Southern Cross says:

Was that a heavy dose of sarc?

Otherwise Rwanda disproved the theory. So did Congo, South Africa, Nigeria, and many more places.

        2. avatar Sam I Am says:

“Otherwise Rwanda disproved the theory. So did Congo, South Africa, Nigeria, and many more places.”

Whoa. Are you implying tribes will war among themselves, without whites being involved? White people (Europeans) colonized all of Africa at one time. Prior to that, the tribes could not know anger and hate toward each other (just like in the Americas, where all the indigenous peoples lived in quiet harmony until the white conquerors arrived).

In fact, if not for Trump, there never would have been any racsisisms, or tribal animosity, anywhere in the world, at any time in history.

        3. avatar neiowa says:

Whhaaa? Next you’ll be claiming that tribal african barbarians and their muuuslim brothers captured, transported, and sold, into slavery, other african barbarians. That can’t be right!

This one was half-and-half. Have read multiple times that “minorities*” cannot be racist, as I noted. The second half was intended as sarc/ridicule. Thinking marking individual paragraphs would be a bit much.

*depending on how organizes the demographics, “whites” are the largest minority.

    1. avatar George Washington says:

She was a fkn drug dealer…. stop pulling the wool over your own eyes…. it’s people like you that they will prey on first….. easy pickings…

      1. avatar Anymouse says:

What evidence do you have that she was a drug dealer? She was an EMT, and authorities tend to keep known drug dealers and users away from controlled substances. Even if she had been a drug dealer (with no drugs found in her residence), she was an unarmed person who was shot 8 times by plainclothes police in a no-knock raid. One officer firing from outside through a window with closed blinds and no ability to see a target or judge what was beyond it. That officer didn’t hit her, but he was.fired for reckless conduct.

        1. avatar Miner49er says:

What? A highly trained and experienced police officer is properly discharged is firearm?

Wow, what a clown. He obviously needs more training. Hopefully, the anti-gunners won’t use this as an excuse to sling mud on all firearms owners.

Hey wait a minute, the cop was white. So white gun owners can be negligent with their firearms as well? Only in this case, and innocent woman was killed.

    2. avatar neiowa says:

The cops were LOOKING for a drug dealer but were lost/couldn’t find their ass. A drug dealer that was already in custody. (or so the story).

      1. avatar Chris Mallory says:

The warrant was vaild. The drug dealer was a friend of Taylor. The local postmaster has said the dd was getting packages delivered, at least once, at the address. But really none of that matters. She was a city employee. Pick her up at end of shift, discreetly, serve the warrant, drive her to her residence to obse4ve the search. No need what so ever to serve a warrant at 0 dark thirty. And no need for a no knock.

        1. avatar anonymous4goodreason says:

But, but, Chris, there’s nothing cool or exciting about discreetly serving a warrant. Ya can’t bust down doors, shoot indiscriminately in the dark, and generally scare the piss out of the occupants so where’s the fun in that? /sarc (for those that need it)

        2. avatar Miner49er says:

“The local postmaster has said the dd was getting packages delivered, at least once, at the address.”

This is false, probably being spread intentionally by racists attempting to smear the victim.

“A U.S. postal inspector in Louisville said Metro police did not use his office to verify that a drug suspect was receiving packages at Breonna Taylor’s apartment, one of the factors listed in officers’ request for a “no-knock” warrant for her home.

But Tony Gooden said a different law enforcement agency asked his office in January to investigate whether Taylor’s home was receiving any potentially suspicious mail. After looking into the request, he said, the local office concluded that it wasn’t.

“There’s no packages of interest going there,” he said in an interview after WDRB News contacted him Friday.

Gooden’s disclosure raises new questions about the Louisville police department’s justification for a warrant that allowed officers to enter the Springfield Drive apartment without knocking or identifying themselves — and why her home was even targeted.”

The police officers intentionally made false statements to obtain the warrant, and an innocent person was killed.

This is why those police officers should be charged with murder.

This is why the black militias are marching in Louisville, and we as patriotic Americans should salute their willingness to march in support of citizens‘ civil rights.

        Priceless!

      2. avatar Miner49er says:

Yes, the white people had to rescue them!

Perhaps you can send some of those white people to help out this organization, it seems they have a real problem with NDs and could really use some help with weapons safety.

If only they had training and regular range time…

        “From the Director…

Every Marine has at least one or two stories about a negligent discharge (ND). Maybe you know one that happened on base. Or maybe it happened off-duty. I have personally witnessed or investigated NDs on the snap in-range, at the shooting range, clearing barrels in OIF, loading a .50 cal on a convoy abroad, and even air delivered ordnance from aircraft inflight.
You have all been trained as basic riflemen in the Corps, yet NDs keep happening. They’re not only causing injury, but loss of life. Losing a Marine, a family member, or a friend to mishandled weapons is unacceptable. Every negligent discharge, by definition, is avoidable. Every weapon is different; know and admit your limitations. Learn from and avoid the mistakes others have made when neglecting to follow the basic tenets of weapon and personal firearm safety.”

        1. avatar Purity of Essence says:

          Purity of Essence,

It is heartwarming to see your comment, you are a true patriot! These communist infiltrators must be stopped, not aided! They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion, and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

Sir, did you also serve under the command of Maj. Jack D. Ripper, USA?

  18. avatar WI Patriot says:

    Bunch of clowns…
I’m starting to question IF it was indeed a ND, and not an intentional act…

    1. avatar Miner49er says:

      Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Here’s another militia group that seems to have a problem with accidental discharge, what a bunch of clowns!

“I have personally witnessed or investigated NDs on the snap in-range, at the shooting range, clearing barrels in OIF, loading a .50 cal on a convoy abroad, and even air delivered ordnance from aircraft inflight.
You have all been trained as basic riflemen in the Corps, yet NDs keep happening. They’re not only causing injury, but loss of life. Losing a Marine, a family member, or a friend to mishandled weapons is unacceptable.”

  19. avatar Sam I Am says:

Guns shouldn’t be able to negligently discharge unless the owner wants it to.

I mean, it should be illegal to sell negligent guns.

I mean,it should be illegal to manufacture negligent guns. Why are gun manufacturers the only industry that can make negligent products and legally sell those products to the public.

I mean, does anyone know what a negligent gun looks like? Are there indications or characteristics we can see?

I mean, how is a legal gun owner supposed to know if they have one of them there negligent guns?

I mean, I have a right to not be tricked into buying a negligent gun.

I mean it is time for responsible gun owners to demand Congress pass legislation to ban negligent guns !!

    1. avatar anonymous4goodreason says:

      Remington 700?

  20. avatar Klaus Von Schmitto says:

And this is why everyone should be able to have fully automatic weapons. He could have shot ten or more of those assholes with a good burst.

    Fucking hilarious.

    1. avatar Miner49er says:

You are correct, fully automatic weapons do increase casualty rate from NDs.

“ Negligent discharges, such as the example above, have become a common occurrence in Afghanistan. The results of some of the discharges have done more than damaged equipment.

“Some people like to call it an accidental discharge,” said retired Command Sgt. Maj. Dave Henderson, the Combined Joint Task Force – 82 Safety director. “But a weapon doesn’t accidentally fire by itself. There is negligence somewhere.”

Since January 2007, there have been 126 reported negligent discharges in the Operation Enduring Freedom area of operation resulting in the deaths of three people and the injuring of 11 people.”

  21. avatar TexasJack says:

HAHAHAHAHHA.. STUPID MF’ERS.. I wonder if he was holding it sideways too. Couldnt happen to a bigger group of freakin’ re’tards

  22. avatar Chris T in KY says:

They have just shown that this specific group of guns owners, is not a threat to anyone except themselves.
When a mixed group of over 25,000 gun owners show up in Richmond Va earlier this years. And not a single problem occurs. It shows this group is a bunch of loud mouth amateurs.

I would say the “white militias” are more disciplined and better trained. However this is not a “race thing” as some people might think. It was a white man who had an NG at a military recruiting center. He was showing off his rifle instead of guarding the soldiers inside. After a terrorist attack in Chattanooga Tn.

If your going to do something in the public eye. Don’t invite inexperienced people to your event.

    1. avatar Sam I Am says:

“If your going to do something in the public eye. Don’t invite inexperienced people to your event.”

It is racsis, and evidence of white privilege, to declare that avoiding NDs is a positive thing for non-whites to emulate.

      1. avatar Miner49er says:

Now if we could just get the white people as well as the Black people (and brown people) to pay attention we’d be good.

I mean, this sort of thing never happens with trained, experienced operators, right?

“I have personally witnessed or investigated NDs on the snap in-range, at the shooting range, clearing barrels in OIF, loading a .50 cal on a convoy abroad, and even air delivered ordnance from aircraft inflight.
You have all been trained as basic riflemen in the Corps, yet NDs keep happening. They’re not only causing injury, but loss of life. Losing a Marine, a family member, or a friend to mishandled weapons is unacceptable.”

And how many of these idiot’s were even legal gun owner’s? Am I the only evil white man to ask that Ralph??? They appear to be the “usual suspects”…homicide homie’s.

    2. avatar Green Mtn. Boy says:

      ROTFLMAO

    3. avatar Bohucka says:

You’re right, Ralph, but those discharges are just as negligent, as they leave us with the fatherless yoots that either join NFAC or just become dindus.

    4. avatar G-muny nilka says:

Exactly…. they only discharge they understand is when one of their “bruthas” are discharged from PRISON!

“So much for highly trained and disciplined…”

There you go, again. Oppressing white privilege/superiority standards on other peoples who have different ideas and cultures that shouldn’t be made to conform to some cracker’s European western culture. Training and discipline aren’t part of life everywhere. You gotta make exceptions for variations.

      1. avatar Chris T in KY says:

I recommend black gun owners, and everyone else, watch Hickock45, Iraqvet 8888, Paul Harrel, SOTG Student Of The Gun, and Active Self Protection.

That doesn’t seem all that effective either.

  39. avatar Montana Actual says:

ONLY 3? Funny how they use the term injured. Is that you get a black heart award?

Get it? Black… heart? Purple? War time “injury”. lol. They can’t even call it wounded. It’s a fuck up injury lol.

Racist Larpers are the greatest. How long before they start lynching whites? Surely that is the black star equivalent…. get it? Black… star? Bronze…

ok. I watched it like 12 times. Hilarious. Black awards for injuries?

  40. avatar Hannibal says:

    “this is a tragic situation…”

I’m sorry, did he mean “humorous”?

  41. avatar TickTalk says:

I had been wondering how a single round hit three victims till I saw the shotgun in the vid..
Everyone is assuming it was a nd by trigger pull, which I agree is most probable..
There is another possibility though. I had an old Savage .410 top break.. if I slammed it closed hard enough, you know, the one hand swing and stop move, it could fire.. not by trigger, but by hammer bounce. Weak old springs… I have a chiappa little badger 22 wmr that does it right now.. I can sometimes hit a target that way 🙂 For you barbie gun users, think slam fire..
    I’m just sayin..

    1. avatar Miner49er says:

Yes, you may be correct regarding the defective firearm. If so, that could provide an explanation.

And negligent/accidental discharges happen to even the most skilled operators.

Everyone seems to be celebrating this particular negligent discharge, are they also celebrating the three dead and 11 wounded mentioned here:

“Since January 2007, there have been 126 reported negligent discharges in the Operation Enduring Freedom area of operation resulting in the deaths of three people and the injuring of 11 people.”

      1. avatar Dude says:

When you talk as much smack as Grand Master Jay did, you better be able to back it up. The NFAC’s last stunt was an all around joke, so people already had a negative opinion of the group. That’s the fault of the leader, not the members. Just about everyone is glad that the Breonna Taylor shooting and the validity of no knock warrants are getting some attention. Maybe this will humble the Grand Master, and he’ll be less of a d*ck in the future so people might actually take him seriously.

        1. avatar Miner49er says:

I agree with most of what you said, one negligent discharge does not mean they are all idiots. And they have a right to parade with their weapons.

Let’s hope this particular friend fire episode is a non-lethal lesson for everyone involved.

        2. avatar Chris T in KY says:

          to dude
His sin is a biblical one. His pride got in his way. He has really hurt the cause he championed. But when a group of black gun owners get together and there are no NG’s. It doesn’t get much coverage. I don’t recall TTAG covering these two stories.

          1. “I want to present myself as an adult black man, fully armed and not a danger,” said Stephen Alexander, 46, of Lansing, ”
          https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2020/05/28/we-have-arm-ourselves-michigan-demonstrators-protest-brutality/5275209002/

          2. “Armed black citizens escort Michigan lawmaker to capitol after volatile rightwing protest”
          https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/may/07/michigan-lawmaker-armed-escort-rightwing-protest

        3. avatar Miner49er says:

“I don’t recall TTAG covering these two stories.”

Of course not, TTAG will not acknowledge that the vast majority of black gun owners are intelligent, articulate Second Amendment advocates. Just like white gun owners.

Like Fox News, TTAG wants to publicize the worst elements of the protesters in order to support their narrative of dividing America.

We have much more in common with our minority American brothers and sisters, who have endured prejudice and discrimination over the past 400 years here in North America, most of it authorized by racist government policies that discriminated against minorities.

This racial hatred and prejudice is just a tool, employed by the hidden groups of wealthy interests that control your life. We laugh about the illuminati, the Bilderburger group, the Rothschilds, but it is all too real and their basic tactic is to use racial or religious, or gender differences to erode We The People’s power.

  42. avatar Miner49er says:

Now here is a friendly fire negligent discharge to top it all off, apparently no amount of training will produce the perfect soldier.

I’m told this was at over 2600m engagement distance.

“A U.S. Army M1A2 Abrams main battle tank accidentally engaged another Abrams tank during gunnery practice, striking the second tank and injuring a crew member. The injured tanker was reported in stable condition and expected to recover. The incident is remarkable in that the two tanks were more than a mile apart, highlighting the extreme distances tanks can shoot accurately on the modern battlefield.”
