Not the exact gun, but still . . . “My Windham Weaponry SRC sits in my home loaded and ready to be used should the need ever arise,” Marine Corporal Joshua Boston [ret.] told cnn.com. “It does not make me a criminal.” Make the jump for the text of Boston’s letter to Dianne Feinstein—which has gone viral in a big way . . .

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.

I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,

Joshua Boston
Cpl, United States Marine Corps
2004-2012

  1. He says: “Senator Feinstein regularly touts the effectiveness of the first Assault Weapons Ban while pointing out the “loopholes.””

I hope the Breitbart people or somebody on that site mentioned how DiFi twists and cherry picks “data” to lie in support of her agenda….

  2. I think urban elites like DiFi are genuinely afraid of an armed low/middleclass/goy/flyover America. Does she soil those depends when her plane is in Alabama airspace? Are encroaching hordes of AR toting hunters haunting her dreams? Do bland Baptists hunting snow-geese conjure images of hellfire? Maybe she thinks The Hills Have Eyes…

    • Same here. I love my Marine brethren. I love in the interview how he points out that Marines would likely go against orders to confiscate our arms. If that order is given, I pity everyone who tries to force the Marines to do that. It wouldn’t surprise me if they arrested that person and tried them for treason. We all swore to defend the Constitution, not unconstitutional laws.

    • Yet another example of how Marines never wake up in the morning, wondering like the rest of us: “Have I made a difference?”

  3. everybody needs to write their elected officials and tell them how they feel about this legislation. Remind them who they work for.

    • Yeah because he got paid so fucking well for his deployments!

He joined the Marines like I joined the Army to serve his country. Our country asked us to go fight so we went and fucking fought. Obviously you never felt the need to serve your country and protect the freedom that has been given to you with your life so don’t talk shit about those who did, asshole!

      • Mr UPS man serves his country mean while the military industrial complex has never served the interest of the republic.

European armies do not usually get the same itchy feet syndrome that ends up capturing American warriors and pseudo patriots in the endless count of foreign countries.

My family have tradition in playing roles within law enforcement and military, active WITHIN the nation they were born and funnily enough as the American way is taking over our traditional ways we too become less inclined to fulfill prior duties.

The problem with war profiteers telling DiFi (a repungant liberal who supported the bombing of Serbia) to FOAD is that the pair of them are one in the same problem (M.I.C). Trying to appeal to folk like me and thus find cover in and amongst our rank’n’file smacks of an attempt to sabotage something disconnected with their poor lifestyle choices.

  4. I admire him, but . . . . . $20 says she will use her position as chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee to have him put on the no fly list. DiFi is one of the elites who cannot admit she is wrong and will resort to petty torments to suit her need for revenge.

If anything, I would suggest that Sen. Graham have this brave Marine added to the Judiciary committee witness list when the bill is introduced . . . . that should be an entertaining exchange!

  5. Well written and I heartily approve.

Just remember that if they ban these weapons that they won’t do house to house searches. They will find a few people that they can rely on to resist and make an example of them. Ruby Ridge was the template for how they will respond.

    I am very fearful.

    • A modern day Ruby Ridge is still quite possible. I think one or two are unavoidable. It won’t take very many before government exceeds a tipping point and life becomes dangerous for law enforcement officers in general — and exceedingly dangerous for law enforcement officers involved in confiscations and no-knock actions in the middle of the night.

The Internet will be instrumental in providing details of such actions because the mainstream media will not cover widespread government actions against citizens with no criminal history. Either that or mainstream media will try to paint every citizen who resists confiscations as domestic terrorists. Such activitiy on the part of the mainstream media, however, will only delay the inevitable response from the citizenry.

  6. Did not Japan fear invasion of the USA because their is a gun behind every blade of grass! Always Faithful . they will have to go walk over the Marines first! etc. sounds like they are biting off more that they can chew . the witch.

  7. Excellent!

I find it disconcerting that every time an anti wants to have a “conversation” about “common sense gun control,” that the dialogue is biased, one-sided, and has a blatant disregard for facts.

Fact: Hammers and Clubs have been used in more murders in 2011 than rifles.

    From Breitbart.com:

For example, in 2011, there was 323 murders committed with a rifle but 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs. Think about it: In 2005, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 445, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 605. In 2006, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 438, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 618.

  8. I would like to be a fly on the wall of Feinstein’s (or any other legislator’s) office right now. I’m genuinely curious how they handle the traffic at a time like this. We all know the story that the emails and snail mails are not actually read by the legislators themselves, but by staffers. I’m curious if they read the entire message, or simply go far enough to determine if this particular person is “for” or “against” the issue in question, and then perhaps move it to a “for” or “against” folder to be simply tallied up at the end of each day. I’m curious if the long, detailed position papers that some people write are, while likely cathartic to the author, ultimately a waste of time. It seems unlikely that you’re providing information to the legislator, you’re simply making your opinion known. If that’s the case, wouldn’t you be better served by simply sending an email with a clear indication of your position in the subject line, and then possibly including your intention to work against them should they not follow your wishes?

      • @JWhite- you know, they should have webcams and microphones setup in every elected officials’ office so we can (1) see that they’re actually working and not strutting around their office in their undies and (2) listen in and see just how much cronyism is going on!

    • If I were a fly on the wall of her office I’d **** in her coffee and go for a kamikaze choke attempt for the good of mankind. Maybe give her some parasites too. A parasite with parasites would be amusing. 😀

    • Matt, your suspicion is correct. Legislative staffs simply keep track of yes/no tallies from all sources, mail, email, phone calls, etc.

As a side note, the breakdown also includes where it came from: in or out of voting district.

Legislators, at all levels, have resorted to this method. Proof of how little they really care about REPRESENTING their constituents.

If there is anyone out there that still believes we have a representative form of government, please refer them to me…..I have some swamp land in in the Mojave desert for sale.

    • I used to work for a US Rep; the lowest staff assistant or intern reads the mail/emails/faxes. That person notes the topic and just about never notes the authors opinion. At the end of each day the intern provides a list of constituent topics and number of responses to a 23 year old “Legislative Correspondent.” The LC writes up a “constituent response letter” for each topic, based on the party’s stance on the issue (not the reps, especially if they are not a senior member of congress); the rep looks it over once, and the document is signed. The letter for that topic is filed and subsequently sent to each constituent that writes in about it. Every once in awhile the Rep will ask how much activity has come in for a particular topic. What the vast majority don’t understand is that 20 somethings staffers and lobbyists run this country…

    • We’ll see if certain members of the legislature have her and any co-sponsors arrested for treason and violation of oath of office as I requested…

    • Scary as in we are loosing our individual rights? Scary as in we are being turned into criminals? Scary as in illegal search and seizure with no financial compensation? Scary as in some of us might not choose to simply comply? We aren’t making those comments, our government is, and yes it is scary!!!

    • Which comments? Who is the “you” that shouldn’t be allowed, and why? These things are not self-evident, so say what you mean.

(I write this without any real expectation of a substantive response.)

      • I often wonder if these kinds of comments are generated by a kind of spambot, or more precisely, trollbot. It just generates a username, then picks from a database of tropes and slaps it in. MikeB and hmmmm are the advanced models.

    • Your cat picked your screen name, right? I LOVE it when “intelligent” folks say things like, “scary”.

      BOO!!!!!

  9. Kudos to a great Marine!!
Although I served in the Army(1981-1996), my hat is off to this young Man!!
I may sound crazy but if it comes down to no knock confiscation in the middle of the night I hope I have enough of a warning to live video stream the whole thing from start to finish so the whole country can see and maybe realize what they have turned us into!!

  10. The AR’s are our muskets & I sure hope the evil king(feinstein, tellll me I’m the first one to make that mistake) doesn’t take them. She’s got a fight on her hands, probably one she shouldn’t have started, Randy

  11. WOWEE! He spoke to her as if she weren’t an evil witch and inhuman demon! I’m impressed. He’s a better man than I. In that respect.

  12. Why do I keep hearing you people speak of confiscation without compensation… what the hell is there in this world that can compensate you for your rifle? If any of you like to shoot as much you have to agree there would be no “just” amount to repay! They might as well cut off my “gun” while they are at it.

    • I think it is obvious.. Compensation is just the law. You are right no amount of money would be acceptable, but that is a personal feeling not the law.

    • Yeah… I got busted down for a facebook post in 2010. I used the term “bootentant” in reference to my platoon commander.

      • And also depends on your MOS. Combat Arms(Infantry, Rangers,SF,etc) tend to make rank faster.
Made E5/Sgt in 41/2yrs and E6 in 6 yrs the first time. By the time I got out with 15yrs in as a grunt with Ranger and Airborne I had made E6P but no E7 slots open for promotion in Infantry(11B) and you only have so long to get a slot and get promoted, too many med retirees holding our slots waiting on retirement or medical out.
Sucks but that’s how the business works!!

  13. Joshua: You are a True American Hero and hopefully have awakened the sleeping Bear, there are lots of men in blue that support you and the constitution!!!!!!

  14. The best part is that all of this really comes down to Constitutionality – which the Supreme Court has already ruled on.

They said that the 2nd Amendment is “not without restriction,” and that there can, in fact, be laws limiting the availability of firearms to the general public, and regulation of the acquisition of firearms.

The Supreme Court is there to rule on the Constitutionality of law – which is made clear in the Constitution itself.

So if you really, truly and honestly believe that we should follow the Constitution, then you have to accept the Supreme Court’s ruling.

Otherwise, you’re just a hypocrite that will only follow the Constitution when you like what it says – and that’s not the American way of doing things. Not if you really follow the founding documents and their dictates.

You can’t have it both ways. Either you support the Constitution fully and the ruling that the Court it provides for has given, or you don’t support the Constitution at all and become unpatriotic in the process.

It’s pretty simple when you look at it objectively and logically.

    • You assume the Supreme Court is infallible. The justices are human and they have political leanings. They can and do make mistakes, intentional or not. Think Dred Scott, which took many years to correct. The 2nd amendment clearly states that there are to be no restrictions imposed on the peoples right to keep and bear arms with the phrase “Shall not be infringed” yet the Court ruled that there can be. To resist unconstitutional laws and rulings is the birthright of every American citizen. Restrictions on our rights once placed are almost never rescinded which leaves us with 2 options; compliance which leads to slavery or resistance. The Declaration of Independence gives us guidance on martial resistance while the Constitution guides us on civil resistance. The actions of our government are pushing us toward the martial side of the equation because the civil side seems to be failing. The Constitution is the law of the land and our government is breaking it.

  15. Laws created by politicians without support are ussually ignored. Best example is speed limits just about everyone ignores it as long as the cop has his head turned
