He carries Hornady Critical Defense 110gr JHPs in his Ruger LCR. Carried in a Bladetech inside-the-waistband rig. Nice. He’s got his speedstrip loaded properly for a wheelgun too. He’s been educated.
He mentions that he also carries a bag at the range. Here, in his words:

Hey, someone who includes the belt and holster as part of their gear. Nice. Speed strip setup up for someone who hates fumbling… not a bad choice if you’re not worried about the size. I’d carry something for trauma when I’m out shooting but maybe it’s in his bag and he doesn’t consider that ‘carry’.
I’m not surprised there’s no flashlight, it seems like an almost minimalist carry (plus a little ammo) for a nice sunny day at the range.
Are those Hornady rounds FTX bullets?

He has his speed strip loaded with 6 rounds but the .38 LCR only holds 5. So the 6th one is for a last ditch single round second reload?
Well, he’s clearly an optimist.
Or OCD and can’t handle an odd round on the strip. Just saying.
Shoot 2, load 2. Also leaving a gap between 2 rounds is much easier reload when using strips.
I have that holster and it wears nice but I would like a little tighter fit. Maybe if they moved the river a little closer to the trigger guard.
I carry 6 round strips loaded with 5 rounds. In practice, I found that it took much time to stow the strip once I had loaded rounds.
Dont want to be standing there with a partially filled strip and an almost loaded gun.
So now I just load and then drop the strip. Takes a second off my reload time.

I see the “no light” complaint a lot, but many of these include smart watches. Most smart watches have a decent light app or option. Not to mention the one in most phones today.
Because you can definitely illuminate your target with a smart watch in a low light gun fight.

i hadn’t thought about meth investments yet. those are some pretty flexible developers.
Any guesses on how this person carries? Appendix or strong side? I’m know little about revolvers and still want one. I am still not getting why some folks, with a great defensive set up like this, dont carry a flashlight?
Even with my tire, I can carry appendix with this holster.
I usually carry at 3:30. Works well for either.
Nice setup. The only thing i’d add is a glass breaker. (saving people- or yourself- from a burning car wreck is a good thing, and probably more likely than having to shoot someone).
And pepper spray. I’ve pepper sprayed at least a dozen people over the years. I’ve not yet had to shoot anyone.
