From the National Shooting Sports Foundation:

To help gun owners to register to vote and evaluate candidates’ positions on Second Amendment and sportsmen’s issues, NSSF provides #GUNVOTE, our voter education site, which we update regularly with news of interest. So, we are pleased to announce that we have posted our first video of the 2016 campaign season . . .

Voting in the 2016 election is a process that culminates in going to your polling place. It begins by making sure to register, then becoming educated about the candidates running for office and discussing choices with family and friends so that they understand the importance of voting to protect America’s firearms freedoms and the lawful commerce in firearms. So #GUNVOTE early and #GUNVOTE often.

  1. I don’t care what NSSF says. I’m voting for Hilary because Ellen DeGeneres told me to yesterday. The only reason Hilary is having some campaign trouble is because she’s a woman. At least that’s what Ellen said. I don’t want be called a misogynist so I have to vote for her.

      • If you tolerate another woman gobbling your husbands goo AND your wearing a pant suit, chances are your in Ellen’s batters box.

    • That reminds me of a conversation I had with a Hillary supporter that kept opining that we needed a “woman” president but when asked about any other woman for president, just scoffed and it became clear it wasn’t about a “woman” president, but rather that she had been programmed for just one person, Hillary. I guess all the brainwashing on NPR, Slate and Ellen Degeneris and Rachel Maddow do work.

Incidentally that person was the least informed person I know on political issues and current events, and when I asked what issues they really thought Hillary was great on they could not give specifics, only personality traits like, they though Hillary was a good person, etc.

    • Hilarious to see Hillary stand in front of a John Deere tractor and talk about waiting periods. Talk about out of touch. Was reading something today about her vilifying stand your grounds laws saying that the first thing someone should have to do when their home was being invaded was call 911. Because to her, that’s the same as her yelling to her Secret Service attachment if she were to be attacked. And of course, she also mentioned Travin Martin by name in regards to SYG to dog whistle the super low info voter. She made a fool of herself dancing on Ellen. At least Bill could play the saxophone. Same bag of tricks but not quite as good stage presence. It’s really comical almost everything she speaks, she blatantly shows how woefully out of touch she is with everyday people.

  2. I’m thought they would have included Ben Carson basically saying he don’t want folks in cities with assault rifles but rural areas are ok. (Can’t remember the exact words. I remember seeing that clip from a Glenn beck interview )

    • I heard something similar in a Sanders speech. The idea that Cities or Urban areas should have law abiding people disarmed seems particularly perverse since that is where those people are the most likely to be victimized by crime. And by extension the most in need of the tools of self defense. I came across a neat crime “heat map” on trulia that shows how crime in cities is fairly localized to neighborhoods. I know this isn’t a surprise to most if not all readers of TTAG but it does a great job of showing what the real problem areas are. I put the link down for Hartford CT as it is going through a “resurgence” of crime. CT Governor Malloy at the same time was trying to take credit for his gun control laws reducing crime, pesky facts getting in the way.

  3. Mike Barnicle on Morning Jo. He resigned from The Boston Globe for plagiarism and writing a not so truthful story. Wears stupid looking glasses too!

  4. Assault combat weapons…. I’m surprised they all haven’t started using that term instead of just plain ole assault weapons.

  5. Thankfully I own a “battle rifle” (M1A) so all the assault rifle stuff doesn’t affect me (well, outside of Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and Houston…..I guess that’s what I get for not being an afro-american gangbanger or hispanic dope runner).

  6. Chris Christie says he was wrong about guns because he was 31 years old. I knew the fucking point of the Constitution when I was 4 years old. His line about changing your mind is bullshit. You can change your mind about what you want for dinner but you can’t be confused about the 2nd Amendment. No sale!
