  1. Um, the link at the end of the article goes to Midsouth’s website for a prize sweepstakes that ended last month. The company says the promotion is no longer available.

    Kinda dates the article, yes?

    • I wouldn’t say they’re hidden, Bob. It says “SPONSORED POST” above, and “SPONSORED CONTENT” below, the title.

    • Gotta keep the site running somehow. Besides there are MUCH more annoying ways they could have advertised on this site, I’ll gladly take this over some of the other options out there.

  2. For those complaining about stray characters mixed in the text….

    1. The blog does not require paid subscription, as in free.

    2. The entire article came through perfectly in my three browsers (Firefox, Opera, Chrome), so I feel discriminated against because I can’t compain.

  3. “Now that you’re in the know, you can’t forgive yourself for failing to take advantage of their deals…”
i can’t forgive myself for mulling over the intended meaning of that statement.

  4. I know about MSSS, love the selection, prices, and service. Didn’t know about the sample packs, have to go take a look.

  5. Must be something wrong with my computer or at least my version of chrome ’cause all the punctuation APPEARS to be correct, but I don’t claim to be a Rhodes Scholar either….

  6. This is off subject but, after more mass shootings. The cry for more gun laws comes up again. .Mainly banning Ar 15 syle rifles, why not raise the age for purchase to 25.
Universal background checks. .ok, but add to that bill national reciprocity of handgun licenses.
Red flag laws, ok but must be worded correctly to insure it’s does not become a gun confiscation law, and has due process before guns can be taken. Also jail time for false
Malicious accusers. With this we want constitutional carry in one’s home state.
Let’s meet in the middle and get something real done.

  7. Wearing my Midsouth cap as we speak. Great online source for reloaders, especially if you load calibers like 6.5 Grendel.

  8. I’ve bought powder and primers from Midsouth Shooter’s Supply mostly. They run more deals on hazmat and shipping than the other places I buy from. Although I have bought brass and other stuff from them as well. Their customer service is good and their shipping is fast.

  9. Midsouth may have changed, but it use to be they wouldn’t ship to me because of their local dealer network. So I quit even looking at their site since what was the point.

    • Like Natchez. They have some great deals sometimes, but won’t ship to me because I’m in a neighboring state.

      • What’s the deal with their shipping restrictions? I’m not in a neighboring state but one more state over and they will ship to me no questions asked. I have never ordered from Natchez because of horrible reviews and I have heard horror stories about their business practices.

      • I’ve dealt with Natchez a few times and have had no problem with them shipping to me here in TX.

Just had a thought (yeah, it hurt). Perhaps your state wants Natchez to collect sales tax and they’re not into that.

  10. Yeah I’ve heard of ’em. I don’t buy gun stuff off the interwebz-yet. Just got a new AR handguard at a LGS. Saw it cheaper online BUT I’m a novice and that online dude wouldn’t help if I had any problems. And lots of EBay seller’s charge for returns. Don’t plan on helping Amazon put all the LGS’s out of business either! Something something about us having a small business😄😊😏

  11. I had been buying from Midsouth for 20 + years. Several years ago I put in an order that contained a box of loaded ammo. Midsouth said I needed to send a copy of my DL to prove that I was 21 years old. Think about that. They have missed all my business since – and that has amounted to thousands of dollars.

  12. I’ve been dealing with them for a couple of years now. It is a rare occurrence that anyone beats their prices and they have the best prices on shipping as well. They don’t have everything, but that’s what the other guys are for!
