Freakish. So the police believe that these guys might have gone to the wrong house? Does that imply that there was motive other than ransacking for cash? Maybe some kind of deal with some organized criminal syndicate that one side was unhappy about.
Yeah, North Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyside is pretty bad neighborhood. Although the guy went to a decent hospital. On the plus side, if you do get shot here Houston has some one of the best Hospital systems in the world.
Theres been about 3 or 4 cases like this within the past yr in Chattanooga. Usually a group of people dressed in all black knocking on doors acting as “cops” laying home owners on the living room floor while they search the house for further treats [IE all your valuables]. I’ll see if I can find some links to the stories but they’ve been kind of underplaying it. Its one of the stories that gets more press in printed news then televised news.
That is because they don’t want to give criminals the idea in publicized media to pretend to be cops to gain entry into our homes. Criminals aren’t smart but pretending to be Law-Enforcement is a pretty good criminal enterprise or so it seems. Don’t hand out good ideas.
not only is is a good idea, but more cops are acting like criminals as they raid the address (or a similar one) that’s on their warrant, kick down the door first, announce later.

This sounds dope related. You can’t round up several friends to knock off a random house. They intended to score dope or cash. The no description and wrong house part at the end really sounds interesting. Just guys in masks, no height, no accents, no “wheres the money or I shoot some one else”, no vehicle speeding away. Sounds like they don’t want the cops knowing what the bad guys wanted. Who knows, they may have found it.
The guy’s lucky it was an armed robber and not the ATF. They’d have shot him fifty times, and his grandma too. And I have a feeling the robbery probably cost them less money than a lawyer to defend against the ATF’s jackassery. All in all, when there’s a knock at the door, you’d better hope it’s only violent criminals, and not the “peace officers” sworn to protect you.
