Hands on with SIG SAUER’s Kilo 2400 ABS – SHOT Show Range Day

Introduced in November of 2016, the Kilo 2400 ABS expands on the Kilo line of rangefinders that SIG debuted several years ago. New for 2017, the ABS model includes better, faster, stronger ranging capabilities and an integrated Applies Ballistic engine for providing the solution to your long range shooting woes. Similar to the Bushnell/Kestrel system … Read more

SHOT Show 2015: Chiappa X-Caliber Survival Rifle/Shotgun

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2z1aEeJh0I

Although the Chiappa X-Caliber was actually first shown at SHOT Show 2014, it only started shipping a few months ago. It’s a lightweight survival gun configured as a break-open over/under with a 12 gauge shotgun barrel on top and a .22 LR barrel on bottom and a dual extractor in between. What truly makes it a survival gun is that it can shoot at total of 10 different calibers, including. . .

SHOT Show 2015: New & Updated From KRISS USA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2zFieh0Yfk

For 2015, KRISS has made some improvements to its well-known Vector line of .45 ACP carbines, SBRs, pistols, and SMGs. In fact, one of these changes — I won’t taunt the caliber commandos by calling it an improvement — is Vector availability in 9mm and, due to the existing design, the capability to easily switch between 9×19 and .45 ACP. Other changes and improvements are detailed after the jump. Also on display at the KRISS booth aside from SPHINX pistols (SPHINX booth tour video here) were airsoft guns and .22 LRs from KRYTAC, including the War Sport LVOA rifle designs that they recently licensed. These are meant for realistic, but inexpensive training. Just don’t confuse the airsofts and the .22s. . .

New From Shaolin Rifleworks: 1/2 MOA AR-10 & AR-15 Rifles

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7KBRnSigqo

Sunday before SHOT Show, the guys from Shaolin Rifleworks invited me out to the desert to check out their new lineup. I admit I wasn’t particularly thrilled at the prospect of yet another AR from yet another assembler. However, it turns out Shaolin is much more than that, and their hit list of high-end, custom, all-in-house machine work, hand fitting, accuracy testing and real-world 1/2 MOA guarantee piqued my interest. What just might be the most accurate AR rifles in the world at an MSRP lower than most vaguely competitive options? Yes, I’m listening. Details and first impressions follow. . .

TTAG SHOT Show ‘Advance Team’ Is Wheels-Down

Okay, that’s kind of an exaggeration.  I’m not really an advance team (as in ‘doing something useful’) but I am the first guy here (as in ‘wife and I left the kids with Grandma for the weekend.’) I will be doing at least a little bit of scouting before the Big Event, mostly so I don’t wander into the wrong convention or get fleeced by taxi drivers.  Sin City’s wrong convention du jour happens to be the AVN Adult Expo (no, I don’t think I need to hotlink to it) which goes far to explain the unusual number of mind-bogglingly slutty women I noticed climbing into limos at the airport last night . . .
