NRA Sues Wilmington, DE Over Public Housing Gun Ban

The National Rifle Association (NRA) filed suit today against the Wilmington, Delaware Housing Authority for barring residents from possessing firearms. The case, Jane Doe v. Wilmington Housing Authority (WHA), comes not so hard on the heels of the NRA’s successful suit against a similar ban against the Newark Housing Authority (NHA) back in February. “[The Delaware gun ban] is a clear case of discrimination against housing authority residents,” quoth the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action executive director Chris Cox. “It’s illegal, shameful, immoral and fattening.” Just kidding about the fattening bit. Right, so, once again, with feeling . . . “Self-defense is a fundamental, God-given right that every law-abiding American is afforded — no matter their tax bracket, zip code or street address.
