More carriers are equipping their pistols with red dot sights. They can get you on target fast. But what if your pistol isn’t cut for a red dot sight mount? You can buy aftermarket slides or pay a gunsmith to cut yours, but that’s not inexpensive.

Strike Industries has another option. If you run a GLOCK pistol, their new Scorpion Universal Reflex Mount will attach to your GLOCK’s dovetail read sight mount.

  1. I was looking at the Suarez Intl. L-mount but will have to consider this as well. Their mount has the irons as part of the mount so it has a very short sight radius and they’re $15 more. Good to have options!

  2. “…their new Scorpion Universal Reflex Mount will attack to your GLOCK’s…”

Attack, attach, what’s the difference, anyways? 😉

  3. I like it. It may well undercut “New” optics ready gun and slide sales. Folks would need to functionally check added “final weight” with ammo and recoil spring for reliability.

  4. The Chinese should be having copies coming soon…find em on Ebay and Amazon. Keep the tariffs, buy USA!!!

  5. I must be missing something, because I bought universal red dot mounts that attach to the dovetail for my HKs and Springfields about two years ago. What is different about this product?

  6. First, send out your handgun to be “melted,” so nothing catches on it, and then screw on a big honking pin that will catch on everything.

I mean, what else is money for?

  7. I have Trijicon RM07s milled into both of my G19s and a G26. No way does this seem like a good way to go. If you are going to make the investment in money and training time to become proficient with an RDS, do it right and get the slide milled. This presents sight over bore issues, no backup irons and the charging handle is hokey. I use the actual RMR itself as a handle on my firearm to rack the slide.

  8. Yes, that’s all very well, but does it come in different colors? Can it be obtained stippled? Textured? Engraved with a Punisher emblem? A Molon Labe one? Why not TWO charging pins, one on each side–at the same time? Can you also get a similar one that plugs into the other end of the slide, replacing the recoil spring guide, so that long ‘scopes can be installed? If not, why not?

Why does no one sell a nifty bayonet that clips onto the rail under the frame? There HAS to be a market!

Also, what is a ‘proliferated site in the field’? Did this information come from an Engrish-Chinese translation? Is the warning “The keeping of fingers from away the pin when gun top goes backish fastly is higly imperative!” included in the instruction book?

    GOD, I love Gimmicks4Glocks articles!
