“After nearly two years of secrecy, Undead Labs and Microsoft revealed its open-world zombie survival title for the Xbox 360 and PC on Wednesday,” examiner.com reports. “The game that previously went under the ‘Class 3’ code-name is now known as State of Decay.” If that’s the way they wanted to go they should have called it Detroit. According to the site, “The open, sandbox world develops in real-time shaped by your actions, dynamically generating content based on your choices and the ever-increasing zombie threat.” Meh. Everyone and their mother’s released a zombie-killing game by now. What else you got?

  1. I’ll probably give it a play once it hits the used racks. Sounds like a good premise, but only playing it will show if it’s well executed. Graphics do look questionable, hopefully that’s just the beta version with smoother texturing coming in the production version

  2. Actually, this looks like something new. They’re talking about fortifying a base and even planting gardens? Less just killing zombies and more planning & organization in an open game world. Sounds like fun for fans of preparedness, and might actually make players think beyond the usual headshots.

  3. Zombies freak me out. They’re always making brain-dead arguements about why I should meekly submit to being ruled. Scary stuff!
