You didn’t mention this either through laziness or dishonesty.
Source 2 is an anti-Chris Kyle piece backed by a primary source: Kyle’s own book. Page 79 has the line I referenced in my original post regarding the killing of unarmed civilians. You cite bias while ignoring a primary source.

Not necessarily. SEALs, MARSOC, SOF, and others have been known to get Glocks and 1911s issued along with a varying assortment of rifles (DD Mk18, FN SCARs, and a variety of sniper rifles–M40s, Mk21 PSRs, and .50 cal Barretts). It’s usually mission dependent.

I can actually think of a few former soldiers I actually knew that were much more heroic than Chris Kyle and got zero recognition. More than a few of them were actually somewhat reluctant to talk about their actions and just lived ordinary normal lives after the war.

I’ll tell you why I’m interested in keeping this gentleman from representing upstanding citizens that did their part in combat. I’m one of them. I find it incredibly frustrating that a confirmed liar is being held up as a good representation of my kind. He is not, and it is a gullible, naïve populace that does it. I’m proud of the fact that I served as a Marine in combat for my country against what I believe is a threat to our way of life. I made it very clear to my squad when we were in country that it is important that if you are told to do something that is outside your moral code it is you who will have a hard time sleeping. I’d never engage the person Kyle. He had his life the way he wanted to. Yet the picture being projected straightforwardly into our brains deserves a second thought, or maybe the first one. Is it really a hero who precisely mirrors many a lie of the official propaganda? Or is he just that, a mere picture of the collective mind of washingtonian war-time spin doctors, all of them acting against civil society, for yet more warmongering and civil suffering? Think the chain of command which led to Ruby Range shooting. A sniper in action, ain’t it? We know how proud this Lon Horiuchi was. This pride, this arrogance, this commitment. Kyle was a low life depraved scum bag that boasted in interviews he loved killing and had no remorse whatsoever. Rolling Stone Magazine reported that he got into a 3 way race with two other snipers and they were all killing women and children just to up their score to win the race. Many were going about their everyday business when mercilessly gunned down. Its ironic the scum bag died by a bullet. What comes around goes around they say.
In Vietnam most normal sane soldiers believed you had no choice to kill when someone was shooting at you but to go out and cold bloodedly kill people who happened to be writing letters home to their parents or eating or going to the bath room or in one notorious case taking a bath in a river with your girlfriend proved that snipers were mentally ill cold blooded killers who lived to do only one thing, kill people in cold blood.
In WWI Snipers were loathed and hated as they often brought down artillery fire killing many of their own soldiers who otherwise would have lived. After the war sniping was considered so vile that the weapons were mothballed and no further training was given.
Sniping often had little or no effect on wining a war either because generals often were miles behind the combat zone and it was only ordinary solders who were gunned down and not in enough numbers to change how a coming battle would be won. Sniping during a battle of course was acceptable but between battles it only proved the depravity of mankind.
I do not think they will sell many of these weapons purely because of the price and surprisingly because of the name on the gun. There is just too much known about this loathsome monster and pathological liar that makes normal people cringe at the mention of his name let alone buy a weapon with his name on it even it they tried to give it away for free.
Awesome! This will be the perfect weapon for killing women and children defending their homes from another American invasion!
