Hey don’t judge cross pens by the inanity of their program, judge them on their feelz and intentions. That’s all that matters.
If African warlords continue to get rifles through Russian arm sales or middle east arm sales or seized from various conflict or through contributions to the Clinton Foundation, it doesn’t matter. Cross has good intentions and good feelz about themselves.
So I feel sorry for the families involved in toddler shootings that may occur one time each week and someone most likely should have secured a firearm. That translates into a bad weekend in Chicago where I’m sure much more could be done to prevent loss of life with more effective application of laws actually on the books.
If the Brady center really cared about securing guns from children it could buy safes for gun owners the way United Way buys toddler seats for car owners.
What they won’t tell you is how often these accidental shootings happen in a home with an illegal gun, usually belonging to a felon. Who would have thought a felon might not be a responsible caregiver for small children?

My wife is from Africa. The people there are largely disarmed and unprotected. In rueanareas they are helpless in small villages to be raped , kidnapped and murdered by bands of criminals. The government , supported by western development aid, cares little about its own people.
Africa does NOT need more gun control.
No government on Earth gives two-thirds of a half-eaten shit about its own people. At least the African governments are fairly up front and open about that, instead of the ridiculous pretense of “caring” we get from Western politicians.

Terrible article in Gizmodo (laser powered…WTF is that, and what powers the laser?) but I was somewhat impressed with the responses in the comments section. Had expected a string of comments about knuckle-dragging baby killers and inadequate male genitalia, instead saw what looked to be a high number of reasonable comments.
Maybe I need to dig deeper, but at a glance I was surprised.
