Gun Owners ‘Made the Difference’ as Trump Wins White House – “’What happened Tuesday night was a reaffirmation that Americans can make the system work, and that this nation’s gun owners are a cornerstone of that system,’ said Alan M. Gottlieb, founder and Executive Vice President of the Second Amendment Foundation. He also chairs the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. ‘While America’s hard-working gun owners can celebrate the victory they helped make possible,” he continued, “we must remain mindful that the gun prohibition lobby, which is largely funded by elitist billionaires like Michael Bloomberg, will almost certainly double down on their efforts to erode our Second Amendment rights at the state level, whenever and wherever they can.’”

The NRA batted .690 last night. Not bad . . . Outside spending report card: How the NRA fared – “The NRA spent money on 55 House and Senate races in the general election; 38 candidates they invested in won and 10 lost. Results are pending for the New Hampshire Senate race, in which the NRA backed incumbent Kelly Ayotte (R), as well as five House races in California and one in Nebraska.”

The market discounts gun control . . . Gun stocks fall and prison stocks jump after Trump win – “Meanwhile, shares of gun maker Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc. RGR, -14.44% closed down 14.5% . Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation SWHC, +0.17% shares closed down 15%. Gun sales ticked up after of President Obama’s elections on concerns that laws around gun control would become more restrictive, said Chris Krueger, senior research analyst at Lake Street Capital. Now he believes gun buyers are more confident that Trump will protect gun-carry laws, so they’re not rushing out to buy them, leading to a drop in the stock, he said.”

Hey, nice rack! . . . Possible world record deer killed in Sumner County – “Stephen Tucker, 26, of Gallatin attempted to shoot the trophy buck with a muzzleloader on Saturday, but his gun misfired. He saw the animal again later in the day but was too far away to get what he thought was a clean shot. … Tucker saw the buck again two days later, about 6 a.m. Monday, and killed him with a shot from approximately 40 yards away. ‘There’s no doubt it’s going to be the new state record; I mean, that’s an absolute,’ Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency District 21 captain Dale Grandstaff said. ‘As far as the world record, (the rack) is about an inch over the world record.'”

  1. THAT’S some crazy deer! Almost looks diseased…yep GOD and guns win again. Perpetually underestimating gun owners. BTW-I’m emotionally exhausted after the elections and the Cubs winning. But happy…

  2. Just happy it wasn’t killary. Very happy. Watched every minute of the election last night. The deer is amazing. But yeah kinda looks strange.

  3. Your capture of the “presidency” means nothing, you NAZI GOP TH UGS. Every single one of you will be executed after we true Communists rise to power.

  4. “Chris Krueger, senior research analyst at Lake Street Capital . . . believes gun buyers are more confident that Trump will protect gun-carry laws, so they’re not rushing out to buy them, leading to a drop in the stock.”

And this is based on one day? One freaking day? Gee, Chris, you are quite the horse’s @ss, aren’t you.

    • I had set myself up to buy a few guns today if things went as I expected (had been away for quite some time and unable to make gun purchases). Now I’m going to wait for the prices to drop somewhat.

I bet I’m not the only one.

    • Telling us WHY the market does what it does, based on nothing more than a wild guess, is what Krueger gets paid to do, every day.

  5. The Republican candidate, Don Bacon, who was endorsed by the NRA, won the congressional election in Nebraska’s second district. He beat the notoriously anti-gun Democratic incumbent, Brad Ashford. Republicans won both of the other congressional districts in the state.

  6. My wife and I went to bed on the Left Coast with both candidates having a bit over 200 electoral votes.
we were worried HRC would steal it with the electoral college but needed to get up at 0500 so let it go.
I was fully prepared for HRC to win and words cannot describe my elation when I checked in the AM.
As a patriot stuck in Commie-fornia for a few years until retirement, this victory is huge even though Commiefornia passed a background-check for ammo initiative yesterday. Yeah. same sh!t different day here in Commiefornia.

    • I feel for you. Hopefully once you retire you can leave. At least you won’t go somewhere else and vote all libtard like most of the Californian’s do.

      They’re ruining Colorado.

      • Local news today was “protesters at downtown joined students from Denver and Boulder”.

Why are they crying so hard and complaining about “not being heard”? This state went blue for HRC. I’m not sure I understand why they are mad at the people here.

        • They are protesting that we have a constitutional democracy here in the United States and would rather have a totalitarian form of government that is much more fair to the 99%. Only then they will find the rainbows and Unicorns they deserve.

        • LOL Jon, have you met the people in Boulder or Denver?

I’m so glad I didn’t choose UCD for grad school… SOOOOO glad.

        • To all the Democrat supporters who are rioting because Saint Hillary lost the unlosable election:

If you didn’t vote, DON’T complain about the result

Apparently Democrat voters stayed away in this election.

    • We may live in Commiefornia but we also have Irish democracy here.
Arizona is only a couple of hours by car or 30 minutes by small plane for ammo or those killer clippazines and anything else you might need.

  7. “…this super-quality Derringer pistol is nothing like the Liberator of WWII fame.”

Ah, so just shamelessly trying to capitalize on the name, then? Seems to be a common practice with this company…

  8. Now i want see big changes in nfa act as removing suppressors and sbs/sbr and aow vertical grip, import restrictions on non “sportive” firearms ect. , national ccw reception and remove federal “no gune zones” (mostley the “gun free school zone act”

Trump now must act ! We are watching him !!

  9. “Gun stocks fall and prison stocks jump after Trump win.” Sounds like Trump WILL cash in his promises: hitlery, and dishonest friends, in prison; border security; less coddling of criminals. After the dead-on accuracy of the demo-polls, why did it take a full day to prognosticate success?

  10. Lol,JP, ok new that was coming as soon as I wrote that.

I did get non published pics and the story soon after the kill though .

  11. Maybe it’s my thrifty Scottish bloodline but with an MSRP of $495 for a two-shot firearm, the “Liberator” doesn’t appear to me to be that great a deal, no matter how well it’s built.

Also, you left Maryland (MD) out of the list of unfortunates where we shooters can no longer buy a magazine exceeding a 10-round capacity. We can thank the “Gun Safety Act of 2013” and our liberal Democrat friends in the Maryland Leftistlature for that gem of leftistlation, which also prohibited a lot of firearms which seldom if ever are used in criminal acts.

  12. In RE: the Nebraska House race. One-term D Brad Ashford lost to R Don Bacon, a retired AF one star, by 47.3 to 49.4.
