  1. I’m not a Tapco fan. But that might be the fault of the POS Century imported Romanian AK with Tacpo parts than it is Tapco’s fault.

  2. Pretty clever commercial, but that guy broke the cardinal rule of zombie killing not once, but twice. Save one for yourself. Also, if his aim was so bad as to not even hit one zombie in the head, why the hell was he rapid firing all his shots?

    • Save one for yourself….bullshit. Remember your Jackie Chan fight training films…and find something that qualifies as a weapon or get ready to start running.

  3. I hear mixed reports of Tapco mags. Allegedly their mini 14 mags got the bugs worked out. I don’t know about the AK or AR mags.

I have Tapco furniture for my Saiga 12. So far no complaints with them. I actually think the Tapco hand guard is better than the factory Saiga one.

    • I had a couple 30 rounder Tapcos for my Mini-14, suprisingly for a gun that everyone says won’t run with aftermarket mags they ran 100%. As did all my other aftermarket mags for that matter… (except for one that I sent back to the seller and got a 2nd Tapco). They continued to run reliably for the guy I sold the gun to, until he sold the gun to help pay bills.

My only complaint is that they were thick as heck and too long (couldn’t shoot prone or from a table), I much preferred the metal 20 rounders I had, I think they were ProMags… I prefer steel mags anyways.

  4. Damn cool ad. Maybe I’ll buy a Tapco mag, but Pmags work so well I’d be hesitant to try anything else. How about a Tapco mag TTAG review?

  5. No… Self Defense Tip, if you’re gonna rock a wheelgun carry speedloaders, or at least speedstrips, and know how to use them.

A good wheelgunner can reload QUICK! You’d be surprised.

You wouldn’t carry ONE mag for your Glock and reload with loose rounds would you?

    • “You wouldn’t carry ONE mag for your Glock and reload with loose rounds would you?”

I used to carry my spare ammo in a secondary magazine.

But it took me more time to get the rounds out of the secondary magazine and into my primary magazine than if I had just kept the spare ammo loose in my pocket.

  6. Clever and creative ad. Major kudos to the ad firm! I knew there was going to be a hot woman holding her gun when he turned around. When the bullets are gone my solid steel Ruger Revolver can smash out zombie brains. I’ll stick with my wheel guns. PS: When the zombies are after you don’t hide behind a cardboard thin door.

  7. Yeah, that door was 1/4″ drywall
as for the chick, it would have been far more beliveable if the girl was rocking the Chief Special (5 shots). I hated waiting through the whole commercial for 2 seconds of that eye candy.
I don’t trust Tapco for critical parts

    • No, those were not 22lr cases hitting the floor. They were definately centerfire casings. See the primer in the middle of the case?

  8. revolver vs. auto. talk about beating a dead horse. course i could get snarky and point out that it took a laser equiped “modern rifle” to out do the j frame.

  9. Kind of looks like a commercial/industrial building, WTF is with the construction paper covered with cardboard door doing there? Also, a gun doesn’t make the shooter, the shooter makes the gun.

  10. No, it’s obvious from the body language, this guy was a rabid anti-gun nut, he found the gun at the last moment and knew only from the movies how it worked, meanwhile, he’s thinking to himself, “I wish I had one of those full auto assault weapons you can buy so easily at the local gun store with some assault clips and a few thousand of those bullet thingies!”

    • then, when he turns around the first thought is ” what big guns she has, I mean gun; hey wait a minute, this is a gun free zone, she’s not supposed to have that here!”

( Amazing the random thoughts on an early Saturday morning, during the first cup of coffee. :))

  11. Learn trigger control and how to reload a revolver (snubtraining.com) and you will do just fine with a revolver in a zombie fight.

  12. Trick question. If it is seven Zombies (I have an 8 shot s&w N frame and the last bullet would be for…..gulp…..me) or less, you want the revolver because it will go bang with more certainty and will not go out of battery if a zombie hits the front of the gun. Practic reloads for more zombies, but in that case you would want a BIG magazine.
