The problem with cartoons of that vintage (AKA my childhood) is that they teach children that lethal force (guns, arrows, bombs, etc.) don't actually hurt people. I routinely hit people over the head with hammers and ladders, shoot them and run them down with my car and am consistently surprised when they don't stand up and drop and anvil on me.
I had forgotten how funny those old cartoons were. I guess in the future the PC police will outlaw all the video games of this era that make the killing of living beings from other planets ok. For any activity that is the least bit entertaining or enjoyable there is going to be some group that opposes it.
Personally, I'm a "Merry Melodies" man.
Funny cartoons. Get a skin and enjoy them, quit whining.
