The latest take on Ruger’s classic 10/22 rifle is a compact model with their modular stock system. It’s similar to the stock on their 10/22 Takedown Lite model. It’s a great option for young shooters who need a short length of pull now, but gives them the option to increase LOP as they grow. Ruger also offers inserts with higher combs for use with mounted optics.

i realize you mean cheapness; the less plastic the better, but i’ll bet those sights work well.
You can put Tech Sites on a 10/22 and not have a single stack mag that sticks out of the stock. One of the best things about the 10/22 is the rotary mag that sits flush.
I think the brand name is FireSight. Peep rear with fiber optic front. I put a scope on my 10-22 first. Didn’t like the way it destroyed the ‘handiness’ of the Ruger. So I moved the scope to my Russian made Winchester and got the peeps for the Ruger. I like them.
A move in the right direction but I would rather have a reissue of either of the collector’s editions which combined the modular stock with a really nice XS sights combination ghost ring and Picatinny rail instead of the stock buckhorn rear sight. I have a 2nd series with the grey stock and plain muzzle and it looks great with a black GI sling. Mine also shoots great, so it must have been made on a Wednesday.
This is a non takedown model and is 11oz lighter and half the price of the 21133. The takedown version is nice but this is a different product.
Where is my Magpul Backpacker stock for the Ruger PC9? Attention Ruger, please include Magpul takedown stocks with all takedown rifles, and Hunter stocks with all other standard 10/22’s. Thank you.
And PLEASE BRING BACK THE 10/22 MAGNUM IN 22WMR OR 17HMR. In a takedown model. I really really need a 10/22 in 17HMR as a takedown.
That’s fine. I don’t care what it takes, how much it costs (within reason, I’m not spending $500+ on a 10/22), as long as it takes the 10rd rotary mags, and they can make some BX25’s in the caliber. I’ve been looking at the A22/17, but I want a takedown. And threaded barrel. And Ruger parts compatibility. I know, I’m needy and whiney about it, but I think they would sell hardcore. Hell, I’d even take one in 5.7.
It would be great if they would sell these items ala carte for a replacement to other 10/22 configurations.

Pretty hard to make a fiber optic in cast bronze.
Now they just need to replace the sights with the ones from their M1 Carbine lookalike model and they would have a great Appleseed rifle.
A BIG amen to that. Their pathetic attempt a couple years ago at a peep site on a 10/22 failed. No reason the RUGER can’t figure out a decent peep.

This is just the stock already available on the 10/22 Takedown Target model 21133… so what is new here…?

The 21133 has both of those already, same with the Takedown Lite. There is nothing new here at all.
