Most people in society are visual learners. A picture is literally worth a thousand words for conveying an idea to those whose primary way of gaining information is visual. The above cartoon is an example of the sort of samizdat art found sprinkled throughout theĀ Internet, supporting armed self defense and an armed citizenry by lampooning anti-gun messages . . .

Note the lessons taught by the cartoon above. The idea that only bad people need guns is a childish one, purportedly penned by “Chuckie Bloomer, Age 6”. That’s clearly an oblique reference to the dynamic duo of New York Senator Schumer and Michael Bloomberg, infamous gun control advocates.

The cartoon has no attribution, and no copyright. It’s meant to be spread far and wide.

Cartoons supporting self defense have become rare in the old media, which is dominated by the advocacy of civilian disarmament. When the Washington Cartel – to use Senator Ted Cruz’s phrase – controls nearly all of the establishment media, and dominates theĀ  popular culture, cartoons like this reach out to those who don’t read John Lott’s research.

  1. Damn. A quick Google search shows that thing has been circulating around for at least 10yrs. Except it was a car jacker instead

      • You know this wasn’t done by an anti-gunner right? Reread the text of the article, put on your critical thinking cap, and re-look at the picture.

        • Oooppps. I confess I’m not the smartest man in the room when it comes to sarcasm. After spending time in the corner, back to remedial reading comprehension for me?

  2. Man, circulate that and a significant number, if not the majority, of internet surfers will take it straight-up and miss the point altogether I fear. Am I the only one who thinks so?

      • It’s not the anti-gunners so much as the run-of-the-mill, not-so-engaged, casual observers I’m concerned about. The ones we are trying to keep the antis from converting to _their_ side. I don’t think this will help.

  3. The shocking thing is, these people who emphatically claim to care more for “the children” are the exact same people who exploit those children for crass, partisan, political advantage.

  4. No way in hell that was done by a 6 year old…..My 6 year old is fairly advanced and even she doesn’t write that we’ll much less have such an un-natural grasp of this issue.

  5. All of you people are pretty dense and stupid. No $h!t it’s not done by a 6 year old and this is actually a Pro Gun “Anti-Gun” satire. It’s pointing out the idiotic line of thinking.

  6. Age 6 and already on the same mental plane as antis. Funny how his scribbles and incoherency is pretty much the same as theirs.

That was my thought until I saw the dead people no guns thing. Smart.

Of course, then it’s sad again when you realize this is exactly how the antis think. They want more dead people, they need more dead people, because this is all about furthering their fascist agenda, not saving lives.

  7. Obviously that boy has drunk the progressive kool-aid.

My son, who is a year older, knows that while bad people may USE guns, very few gun owners are bad people.

    The stupid! It hurts!

    • I know right. The whole picture screams satire and the article pretty much tells it so, and people are all like, “Dumb 6 year old anti-gunners.”

    • We’re just as easily distracted by bright, shiny objects. Especially on TV or the internet. The more you click, the less you think. Just like Fakeybook-thing. Thumbs up=approve. On the original content or do you agree with someone else’s comment? At least, I’ve heard that’s how it works. Don’t ever want to try it.

    • Yup, looks like it. Security guards are bad, too.

So, of course, the arbiter of all that is good, is a barely developed person with a sliver of education.

(sounds like a liberal, of any age to me!)

      • I think they all got as far as “samizdat” and bailed straight to the comments to berate the imaginary six-year-old anti-gunner. “I ain’t readin’ any more of them dang foreign words!”

  8. If it were really produced by a child of six, an adult was directly involved as no child of six could assemble such abstraction in a cohesive way.

  9. Read the damn article, people. In case you have a 6 year old’s comprehension and you don’t “get ” the picture.
“The above cartoon is an example of the sort of samizdat art found sprinkled throughout the Internet, supporting armed self defense and an armed citizenry by lampooning anti-gun messages . . .”

  10. Bottom line: an anti-gun adult and an exceptionally stupid kid are basically the same thing. Was it done by a 6-year-old? Obviously not. But the child-with-pubes who did make it has the mental capacity of a very slow 6 year old just the same.

When my son was 6, I was fairly involved with school stuff. None of the other 6-year-olds in his class were this dumb, and neither was he. He could already field strip my 1911 by that age.

The statement that no 6-year-old could manage the complex thoughts is an insult to 6-year-olds who can, of which I have known plenty. As long as they haven’t been raised by public school parents, 6-year-olds are often way ahead of anti-gunners when it comes to logic and critical thinking. Dumbing down has dumbed down expectations, but not everyone chooses to sit in the middle of the bell curve, or let their children rot there, either.

Even though he is now 18, I can still count on one hand the number of adults I’ve met who are more intelligent than my kid… And plenty of 6-year-olds are still smarter than any anti-gun dickbag I’ve ever met. I’ve met children with Down’s Syndrome that are smarter than all the anti-gunners put together.

    • You were on the right track with your first sentence, but then veered way off course after that. It’s a pro-gun cartoon satirizing the childish mentality of anti-gunners.

Seriously, guys, the first paragraph explains all of this.

      Goddamn public schools.

    • I actually didn’t expect the commenters here to be making my point for me–I’m pretty damn surprised. Apparently some are not reading the article and not reading the previous comments either.

  11. I’m cutting the AI some slack on this one. We see a deluge of antis trying to out-stupid each other every day, it gets to the point where the words in most picture-accompanying articles are just one of the TTAG writers explaining precisely why it’s so stupid. Antis have a history of exploiting children as political puppets and their level of rationality is about half a degree higher than a chimpanzee, so this wasn’t exactly a stretch.

I can think of at least ten incidents in the past year alone that I would have assumed were satire, had I not read and with some despair realized they actually happened. Never, ever, underestimate prog stupidity.

    • Before you comment on an article, you have a responsibility as a human being to actually read it. Especially when the entire article is under ten sentences long. If you post a comment without reading, it is automatically an ignorant one. You don’t even know the full extent of what we’re immediately discussing and you’re clogging up the post with less relevant and less informed points of view.

Not that an adult should have to read the article in order to question whether to accept “Chuckie Bloomberg, age 6” on it’s surface. Mr. Weingarten is only pointing out what a fairly intelligent and informed person should usually find obvious.

Anyway, to comment on the article rather than the comments, I’d like to see more of these counter-propaganda parody images.

  12. Good lord…is today “Post comments that make yourself look like a moron” day?

Oh, wait…maybe, in the spirit of the cartoon, people are posting satirical comments that typical pro-gunners would make in order to…umm…can’t come up with anything.

Guess I’ll just hope it was moronic comment day. My goodness, people!

  13. This post is kind of an ink blot test for extremism. Extremists don’t have a sense of humor and don’t get parody. If you think this is an anti-gun cartoon you are an extremist. Please seek professional help for humorlessness.

    • Yeah, but you don’t have to “get” parody to understand this. You just have to read the first three sentences of the article. It’s less a test of extremism and more a test of who actually reads the articles and who just shits out a comment as soon as they see a picture.

  14. Lot of hate here. Here’s some more. Hey Ralph my 27 yo daughter owns three degees in chemistry and carries a gun. She is quite intelligent and armed. Maybe your incessant, bitchy sniping at our youngsters is because your own are unmitigated failures at everything. Or maybe you’re just impotent and frustrated.

    • Lots of misdirected hate here. To say that a completely inordinate number of 20-somethings out there either demand or at least passively accept being treated like children is merely to recognize an unfortunate fact of present society. And it does not necessarily mean that every single 20-something out there fits the template.

    • I’m afraid that you’re barking up the wrong tree by picking a fight with a poster who happens to be retired from a very successful career in corporate law.

What has your daughter actually accomplished in her life outside of staying outside of the workforce?

  15. I have the right to protect myself and if you don’t like it tough $hit. I was USAF military police honorably discharged with full pension. I am eligible for HR 218. I would protect you.
No double standards put DC politicians on Obamacare and SS.Thanks for your support and vote.Pass the word. mrpresident2016.com

    • Put DC politicians on the front lines if the wars they start. They might then think through their actions. The bastards are all replaceable.
