A Glock 43, Kershaw Blur, and an Olight make for a realistic pocket dump. After all a gun, knife, and light cover your bases pretty well (and you’re more likely to actually carry them every day). What do you guys think, is less more?

  1. Less is never more. But is better than nothing (or harsh words).

Thats a big-assedd light. It may weight more than the Glock

    • The Glock 43 rocks. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Let the posers and wannabes and fudd wheelguners run their course. Then go back to the Glock 43 because it’s the best single stack period. Stippling only improves on Glock Perfection.

      • I am happy with my Sig P938. For the price the G43 is hard to beat, and I wouldn’t have any issue carrying the 43 either. It seems many S&W Shield are very happy with their carry piece as well. I really don’t think there is a best single stack.

      • I have a 43. Great gun.

I was commenting on the less is more thing.

        We trade abundance for convenience.

        The 43 is very convenient.

      • lol no.

        I traded my g43 for a DS S&W m2.0 3.6″ in .40

Granted, this is a DS, not a SS… but I hated the g43. Trying to reload was a pain in the ass. I’d have to sacrifice my entire grip to get a new mag in and make sure the old mag came out properly, then, to release the slide stop manipulate my hand again. It was the worst experience shooting ever, and I did not feel confident even after training with it for 6 months. I will never carry a subcompact like that again. But if I do decide to get one, it won’t be a Glock.

S&W won me over for life with their new m2.0 lineup, and when the Shield gets a new shot, I’ll give it a try. Because of my experience with the 2.0 in 3.6″, I sold ALL my Glocks. Not even joking. S&W fanboy AF now and not ashamed to admit it. Price and design comparison, there should be no reason to buy a glock unless you want to go all tacticool and full retard with a soldering iron and a bunch of extra wasted money add on crap that doesn’t change a single thing if you were a good shooter in the first place.

You Glock fan boys are a trip. Go pick up a new m2.0 in the store and tell me the rail design, slide design, and aggressive texture of the grip is not everything you need to mod a bland ol Glock for. I dare you.

        • recently shot a bunch of these all side by side. the 3.6 is a better gun than the 43 overall, that is true. but the 3.6 is really competing with the glock 19, which is a better gun than the 43 too.

  2. I wonder, how do I do one of these “everyday carry pocket dumps”? I find them fascinating. That said, I’d like to share mine; I’m the only person I know who CC’s a desert eagle.

  3. Absolutely nothing wrong with simple! I carry a basically stock Glock 19 with a Kershaw Scallion (really small, like 2″ blade, but lightweight and comfortable). Getting my two kids ready and out the door in the morning is enough of a challenge — I don’t have the time or need to stuff my pockets with enough to survive in the Everglades for 2 weeks without water. I’m either out at work or running errands, not fighting a death match against the French Foreign Legion.

Not everyone has the time or money for fancy guns, stippling, holsters, knives and lights, etc. My glock has some Ameriglo sights, TALON grips, and sits comfortably in an AlienGear Tuck. My knife cost $30, and the one I carried before that was half the price. My phone has a light on it and there’s an IFAK in my truck. Where’s the problem?

    • Your phone light is worthless for anything more than a few feet away. A good quality Olight with at least 500 lumens of output is rather inexpensive. Even if you have to save a bit, get a good flashlight. It could be a life saver. Also, an IFAK in your car is a good start, but you really should have a tourniquet on your body. The IFAK in your car useless if you’re away from your vehicle and get injured.

  4. Bullshit.

Phone, wallet, keys. You will have these on you.

Others can be a notepad, pen, multi tool, spare mag, tourniquet…
    and oh, a holster.

Less is more, but these types of posts are far from ‘realistic’. They just choose to leave things out on purpose.

  5. I love it! What an EDC is all about. I’m so sick of seeing EDC articles and it’s nothing but metrosexual clothes. Probably fake EDC posts by the maker’s of metrosexual clothes

  6. Maybe I’ll submit one.
Seems everyone wants a real EDC shot.

Shes scuffed, scraped, tarnished. Holster isn’t pretty.
Flashlight is small but beat up.
Knife as well shows its use.

That’s an EDC! Every day (except when traveling to states where I can receive a felony for doing something I do every day all day in my state)

Lets see those every day warriors.

  7. G43 with a +2 based mag, extra mag, wallet, phone, keys, small light and bottle of nitroglycerin for the ticker. Use a cut-out section of bike tube on the G43 grip and it stays planted. G43 is a tack driver at close range,

  8. Sometimes less is more. Where you live and travel will affect what you carry. A gun, light and knife or multi tool is good most of time.
I keep a small sling bag in my truck for when I want or need to carry more. No need to be over burdened.

  9. Gee. To think (by other posters) that I was a fool for not loving the glock. Thanks to all that have responded with OTHER firearms. Glocks are very fine weapons, but not the end all be all. Personally, I do not see the need to add gadgets to my gun. They are heavy enough already. I also do not carry my most expensive knife for EDC A 30-40$ blade of good steel is “good enough”. I carry a Leek.

  10. This is my post. This is just a photo of some of the gear i carry. I do carry a wallet, keys and phone. I also carry a Tacmed Softt-w tourniquet as well as a small IFAK from WHTactical.
