I want one. I would invite my friends to the range to shoot it, burn it, blow it up and then I’d have it recycled and made into a Ford pickup truck.

Okay, so you can attach a Volt to a gun rack. But can you attach a gun rack to a Schwinn?

When I was a kid, I’d take my bolt-action single-shot .22 apart, wrap it up in a grocery sack, then tie it across my handle bars. I could then ride to more distant “hunting grounds.” I very seldom returned home without squirrels or rabbits or whatever game birds were in season. I’d show my trophies off, go out back to skin or pluck whatever, bring it back in to my Grandmother and would soon be enjoying my game. I didn’t know we were poor. Looking back, maybe I wasn’t the poor kid, the ones that didn’t get to go hunting and fishing all the time were the poor kids. I sure feel sorry for kids today and the way they don’t seem to really get to play and explore. The internet is neat but a creek is a lot more fun for a ten year old boy.
Your comment brings back some fond memories, virtualjohn. I also used to bicycle carry, and the creek was my playground every summer when my folks would rent a shack in the mountains so we kids could get out of the big city and breathe fresh air. I caught pickerel and suckers with small balls of white bread or red wigglers as bait, and I shot tin cans with a .22.
As an adult, the toys got way more expensive, but I never had more fun than I did with a $10 Mitchell, a $50 Nylon 66 in Mohawk Brown and a battered, green Columbia with white streamers.
Seriously John. I count myself very luck to have grown up meer minutes of walking from the woods. I spent many a summer vacation day, when I wasn’t playing video games, traipsing around the woods alone and with friends, blowing stuff up with left over fireworks, hiking, and, even though parents today would have a coronary, playing around at a construction site where they were building a community college on the other side of the woods. I even remember one time when me and my best friend found a stolen van turned on it’s side in those woods once, good times.
I really feel sorry for kids now with their American idols and Justin Biebers and such. They are really missing out.
Why would you put a gun rack in a Volt? Who wants an otherwise useful firearm to burn to the ground along with a useless car?
Calling the Volt a useless car is like calling the current Commander In Chief a strong Libertarian
New Gingrich does not give a whiff of hot air about gun rights, nor do any of the Repug hopefuls but one.
Every time I hear the phrase “gun rack”, I think of the scene from Wayne’s World, where his crazy ex gives him one.
