    • I have bought my wife and parents a couple of guns. I was even going to give one to my father-in-law but he couldn’t wrap his head around transferring vs. buying (even though I think he would qualify as an immediate family member I was going to go to an ffl just to be safe) so he declined because he thought he would have to pay me for it. Old people are weird. Got himself a nice XD, so all’s well that ends well.

    • Maintaining a a solid ratings edge with insomniacs, going head-to-head against baldness remedies and food processors. At least until Cutlery Corner comes on.

    • I remember the last time SNL made someone…
      Let’s see. I’m 25, so it’d have to have been about… 60 years ago…

Thank goodness for the “laugh track” that they play when they want to alert the audience to a comedic situation.

      • You obviously haven’t watched since 1981. They go through some dry spells, but it has been pretty consistently laugh out loud funny year after year after year.

This one was hilarious! The first jog pop got my jaw to drop!!

        • I laughed too , I don’t watch it too much anymore , I think the writing has gotten a lot sillier last 4 or 5 years but some of the stuff still gives me a laugh , I love to laugh and find humor in about all things . I love Family Guy and really got a barrel of laughs from Trailer Park Boys so you couldn’t call me prudish , and I think the faked commercials on SNL are some of the best stuff they do . This spoof was funny to me I think because I’ve done many of the things they poked fun of .
I have given many guns and gun accessories to my wife and friends as gifts .
I gave my son his first gun as a gift ‘
I always carry so going into a hospital carrying is normal for me .
I would recommend all women carry when they go out for walks or jogging .
I certainly don’t sleep with my pistol but it is always reachable , loaded and chambered beside me .
Funny is just funny , no matter who it offends , in my mind . We all should be able to laugh at ourselves . We all have some habits , traits , malady’s , deformities , and characteristics that are funny to someone else . Skinny , fat , big nose , beady eyes , fat lips , big ears , moles , hairy ears , bad backs , canes , crutches , wheel chairs , amputees , burn scars , etc. , these are all things that ma us who we are and unique and not accepting who we are is problematic . I could go on to list all the crap that is me and I guarantee I could make it humorous too but point is , lets try to be a little less anal about our differences and understand that we all have issues of some type and be agreeable on the things that join us together , three of which should be that we are all endowed with the rights of life , liberty and pursuit of property .

        • MoveableDO has a point.

I’ve been watching since episode 1.

Since then its alternated from not funny to somewhat funny.

The Edddie Murphy era was somewhat funny.

          YMMV.

  1. I guess they couldn’t come up with anything funny or clever to to ridicule gun ownership so they just went with that.

After all, they had to DO SOMETHING!!

  2. It’s too bad she’s a talented, funny and horny comedienne that shares her bloodline with Bud Schumer, one of the most ignorant gun-control politicians in office today.

  3. Remember the SNL skit from the late 70’s?

    “America: SHOW US YOUR GUNS!”

That one was funny. SNL has been dead for years.

  4. I’ve seen some anti-gun skits lampooning gun ownership that I thought were pretty funny, even though I absolutely disagree with their perspective.

    That one wasn’t funny…not even a little bit. 🙁

  5. JESUS !!!

. . . will be back before SNL achieves any sort of relevance to society. He’ll be back 2x before they are where I go for funny. A long time ago they were funny when they were just ‘stupid’ then they stopped trying so hard, and got more stupid.

Guns are here to stay. Gotta keep shouting out that we’re not arguing about them any more.

    • You can Amend the Constitution to get rid of the Second Amendment. You just can’t get me to trust you with the rest of it without it.

  6. I used to like Amy Schumer, but when she apologized for a joke she made about hispanics, I lost a lot of respect. I honestly thought she would have been one of the ones that stood up to SJWs, but I guess a little money and recognition can shrivel principles mighty quick.
Now, with all her anti-gun preachiness, I can’t find any of her stuff funny anymore; I can only see her as a nagging, capitulating harridan and switch stations when one of her bits comes on.

  7. Just a desperate sad uninformed poke at a a topic most Americans take seriously everyday.
Snl hasn’t been a leader in society since the early days.
Loren Michaels has lowered the bar for comedy and even past members leaving the show have low marks for solo careers.
They jumped the shark decades ago.
    Nothing of importance here.

  8. I thought it was funny. The skit was trying to show how horrible America is for our gun culture, where as for me, I saw the exact opposite. Eveything (except some safety violations) is what makes America unique, a place of more freedom than most.

G-d bless America! Inspite of the efforts of the progressive/statists, still the greatest country in world.

  9. My YouTube comment:

More gun control propaganda portraying gun owners as ignorant, unsafe and paranoid. In fact, concealed carry permit holders have an arrest rate lower than police officers, are significantly less likely to shoot the wrong target and are more accurate with their rounds fired.

Don’t believe me? Do your own research at The Truth About Gun under Gun Facts.

  10. If they recorded those video segments in New York City, I can virtually guarantee you that:
    (1) Some of those handguns were “illegal” to possess in New York City, and
    (2) Some of the people who handled those firearms did NOT have handgun licenses.

I seriously want a full blown investigation and prosecutions.

Of course I realize that will never happen because New York City and State law provides some sort of exemption for television and movie production. In other words it is okay for the anointed elite to possess any firearm they want for their own purposes … it is simply everyone else who can only have a limited selection of firearm for a limited selection of purposes according to guidelines that the anointed elite have published.

  11. I am wondering if they violated any laws in NYC by filming even with replicas. . . . oh wait, rules don’t apply to them in the liberal paradise. #gregoryshouldbeinjail

  12. Lol. Freedom is so 240 years ago! The founding fathers had no idea how good corporate slavery would be in the future. We should all be disarmed slaves to corporate New York. It’s progressive! Guns only for the government and the people who own it!

  13. If you thought this was merely a lame attempt at humor, at the expense of gun owners, then you missed the point. The topic was guns, but the point was not about guns, it was about who is thinking the correct way. If you thought this was seriously funny, then you know that you belong to the proper, popular, liberal tribe. Your presence in this tribe confirms that you are an intelligent, hipster liberal….a bon vivant of all that is culturally correct and approved.

Liberalism is commonly mistaken for intelligence, by stupid people.

  14. So basically their entire punchline was “Because guns.” and that’s it? I get it when we write that in here, because it’s meant in roughly equal measure with irony and sarcasm.

In that skit, it’s clear they’re trying to do comedy, but it just comes out desperate and ham handed. It’s like a few dozen financial aid welfare cases traipsing about UT-Austin with dildos protruding from backpacks. Clearly they’re attempting a plunge into political satire, but they came up limp.

  15. I thought it might have been funny before I watched. I didn’t laugh, nor even crack a smile. It was boring and I kept waiting for it to be funny.

  16. Yeah, my girlfriend just wants an upper receiver for her FAL kit for Christmas… She loves her guns, and it takes trust to be willing to give the one you love a firearm. You have to know that the love will be strong, because you are giving them something that could be used to end you if there isn’t love.

  17. This is her idea of being “on it,” huh? That low rumble I just heard must be the sound of millions of gun owners gulping in fear.

You know, I disliked Amy Schumer when all she did was make disgusting jokes about her snatch and the things she puts into it. Now that she’s trying to use her godawful, lowest-common-denominator attempts at “humor” to influence public policy, I dislike her that much more. I guess she’s gone completely ’round the bend after her split from Kermit the Frog a few months back.

  18. The lovers shooting at the falling stars, and the dad giving the newborn a derringer cracked a smile out of me.

Did you notice how uneasy the laughter from the crowd was? I’m guessing by this point in the show they were already tired of being preached at.

Her other skit was an utterly cringetastic lampoon of a campus carry hearing. You could almost feel the audience thinking “damn, maybe we ARE the real racists” with every nervous, guilty giggle.

  19. Yep, that show hasn’t been funny since Tina Fey took over. But if this is all they have, along name calling tweets, then I am glad they are wasting their energy.

  20. Ick-slutty schumer. After the infomercial for the hildebeast I said enough. And I go all the way back to 1975.(yeah they were left-wing then but not so obviously shilling for the dumbocrat party)…

  21. She is Jewish and I guess stupid for forgetting the Holocaust.I have the right to protect myself and if you don’t like it tough $hit. I was USAF military police honorably discharged with full pension. I am eligible for HR 218. I would protect you.
No double standards put DC politicians on Obamacare and SS.Thanks for your support and vote.Pass the word. mrpresident2016.com
