  1. I want to know if “her best” is what her constituency was asking her to do, OR, she was just doing what SHE wanted to do regardless of what her constituents say.

    • Her constituents in CA are mostly gun grabbers and next up when she leaves is another gun grabber, so yeah, she was doing her job.

    • I always get a little sick when to I go to the NYtimes and read articles for gun bans. California is its own socialist state. They don’t want any freedom or rights. They all want to live in homeowner associations and want all aspects of their lives regulated by unbreakable rules. They would have a heartattack if someone in their neighborhood painted his house an unapproved colour or planted a tree in their front yard not sanctioned by HOA rules. She was doing exactly what the majority of other Commiefornians do.

I keep hearing the same thing over high capacity magazines, straw purchasing, assault weapons ban. They already know its not going to work to prevent these events, yet they still keep pursuing them for their own agenda’s sake. But this is the nature of uneducated, ignorant liberals. Their goal is always to prevent by regulation rather than deter by making inauspicious. They will regulate and regulate until the books are infinitely long and there is nothing left to regulate.

    • I’m her constituency, and can safely say that what she was doing is widely supported by my fellow cranially-challenged Californian voters. Sucks to live in a state where you’re demonized for owning weapons, attempts to criminalize you are made repeatedly at the local, state, and federal level, and you have a ZERO percent chance of ever being represented by anyone standing a chance of winning office in this state.

As soon as I can convince the girlfriend to move, I’m liberating my own ass.

  2. The dramatic, close image makes her seem almost human.

(Sorry for the “ad hominem”; it was hard to pass up.)

  3. “If Mr. Reid considers only the straw purchasing measure, it is likely that senators who favor gun rights will offer a flood of pro-gun amendments, many of them likely to pass the full Senate, which could essentially turn a bill intended to strengthen gun regulations into one that enhances gun rights.”

Fingers crossed on that one. Maybe they can stop avoiding a vote on carry reciprocity.

    • That quote is a great example of the elitist anti-gun mentality. The Times is upset that laws with bipartisan support (and thus broad-based voter support) will be passed.

In their minds either the NRA is forcing these Senators to go against the will of the people, or the people have been brainwashed by the NRA. They just can’t fathom a world where rational people disagree with their point of view.

  4. LOL. ***Sarcasm alert*** So many children, puppies and other cute things will die because you didn’t succeed.
On the serious tip: You failed.

  5. Diane your sounding awfully depressed my dear, don’t go doing something rash, like say… throwing yourself off the Golden Gate Bridge, cause you know we would miss ya.

    • No, please dont encourage her to do that, it would taint any seafood caught with her dreaded progressivous idiotus virus she carries for the next 6 months!

    • Why throw herself off the bridge? She has a semi-auto pistol that she is fully qualified to carry consealed in the state of Call. She could just drive to chicogo and try to be a vigilanty and take those evil guns off there streets, or be shot in new york by the po-po’s as they try to stop a criminal on a crowded street. She has her who life ahead of her and a countless number of ways to make normal law abiding citizens lives Hell.

      • You know, somehow I believe that were she to do so, she just may prove that she is ugly enough to scare bullets away!

  6. Your right it wasn’t good enough Mrs. Feinstein. Do us and yourself a favor retire, enjoy your old age spend time with the grand kids and great grand kids.

  7. Poor Di-Fi…seems like she could use some cheering up. Who wants to chip in so we can get her a nice Armalite? Say one if those Armalite-15s?

  8. I have be advising everybody to calm down and count the votes from the beginning. She never had the votes and she now knows it. I am sure Reid told her that under current conditions her bill is the kiss of death in 2014. She has been told to go sit in her corner. Short of another school incident it’s over and if the next incident is stopped by a citizen it will finished for ever.

Just think of all the money that has been transfered to sellers of guns and ammo because of the panic.

    • The thing is, the only way we can fight legislative attempts like this IS to get all worked up. Yes, count the votes. But you have to shore up the votes you THINK you have. Silence speaks volumes.

    • Not just money but think of all the weapons and ammo not “on the streets” as a result of her stooopidity. The exact, 100% opposite of what she wanted to have happen, has happened as a direct response to her disarmament campaign. Even if she got her confiscation, I doubt they get even 10% of what is now out there back.

Who knows, we may actually be thanking her in our history books 100 years from now as the woman who inadvertently armed America in her attempt to destroy the 2A. “When the backlash against increasing government oppression occurred, the forces of tyranny had to concede defeat to the overwhelming armed resistance the common citizen put up against their oppressive policies. The people had been stockpiling arms and ammunition for years at unprecedented rates and in the end, between the passive resistance of local police and the refusal of the Armed Forces to engage civilians, Federal Agents of the DHS, ATF and DoJ were simply out gunned and out fought in their attempt to impose martial law. The President and most of his cabinet directors were forced to resign in the face of mass impeachments, ushering a new age of free markets, self-reliance and individual liberty. Effectively bringing the USA back to its roots of 1776”

      Hey, I can dream too, can’t I?

      • Not just money but think of all the weapons and ammo NOW “on the streets” as a result of her stooopidity.

        Fixed – sorry.

    • You may not think it dignified to get all worked up in a froth over these things, and that is fine, you don’t have to join in, but I think it is wrong to try and tell us that we are fools for it. For one thing it’s good to get worked up once in a while – exercise those activist muscles that have gotten soft. But more importantly, it is important for the sake of motivating others and keeping up the morale and momentum of our side.

      • Except that frothing at the mouth as you put it gives gun grabbers a perfect target to push their agenda. You know crazy a$$ gun nuts. It is far better to let them know we are going to walk all over them when it comes to a vote. We want to demoralized them and not look like a bunch of losers.

  9. The AWB would never pass the House, and everyone knows it. They won’t put Senators on record for this for no reason. It’s not an occasion to cheer for Harry Reid, he will sell us out in a heartbeat when he thinks the timing is right. And this bill will sit in a drawer while democrats pray for the next massacre to be big enough to sway public opinion.

    • I don’t know if Reid cares about the 2nd A, but he cares about keeping the Senate majority, and he’s better at counting votes than Feinstein.

Sometimes people do the right things for the wrong reasons.

It’s nice when it works in our favor for a change.

  10. The thing that sucks is there will probably be a mass shooting because none of the causes have been addressed. People like Frankenstein have been so fixated on the tool they have not even given a glance at why these people are committing these heinous crimes. I have asked my legislators why there is no talk of the root cause and ridiculous amounts of time spent listening to ignorant people try to talk about firearms.

  11. Where did I say lay down and go to sleep? I said count the votes and don’t panic. Go back and read some the threads from the first two months of the year. It was all “Feinstein is going to take our guns.” Losers panic, winners go about their business and get the job done. That is how the gun rights organizations killed the bill. The sky was never falling.

The is my reply to JT. Why it posted as a new entry beats me.

  12. This make me think of :
Sean Connery quote of the day: “Losers always complain about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen.”

    good movie –

  13. I’d hardly call this a victory, you know the universal background checks and mag limits were their main goal all along, when those things die, then we can celebrate. And remember every sponsor and advocate for this legislation so they can be voted out come mid-terms.

  14. “The enemies on this are very powerful,” Ms. Feinstein said, referring to the National Rifle Association. “I’ve known that all my life.”

She’s not talking about the NRA. She is talking about us. In her eyes, we’re the enemy.

    • I’m allright with that. Really. She’s not my ally, she’s anti-US, anti-Constitution and anti-freedom. I am for all those things so by definition, I am her enemy.

    • … or the Bahamas.
I’d pitch in a few dollars myself for her to go down there and live in tropical relaxation, drinking smoothies and soaking up the sun for the rest of her days.

The conditions are that she admits that this was all a foolish idea, and she stays out of politics forever. This, of course, will not happen.

      • I like the part where she stay’s out of politics forever, but the Bahamas? The thought of Feinstein in a bathing suit is traumatizing…and there goes my breakfast….

        • Hurl, hurl, spit, hurl hurl hurl, gag, dry retching sound, dude, I chummed my breakfast with that image, what did I ever do to you eh?

      • Sorry folks. I didn’t really think much about that bit. She technically wouldn’t have to be clothed so sparsely.
My point is that I’d rather pay the taxes I pay and have these guys sit around and do nothing than pay the taxes and have them do all the stuff they do.

        As someone once paraphrased:
“We’re lucky we don’t get all the government for which we pay.”

  15. You guys are really on a roll this morning. If I had been sipping coffee while reading the above comments I would have spit it up laughing.

  16. I never thought about it until now. I wonder if she took a page from the playbook of Jessie Jackson and rubbed Harvey Milks blood on her blouse?

  17. Ugh!! That close up shot reminds me of the Old Professor Orangatan from the original Planet of the Apes!
My apologies to Charleton Heston, Roddy McDowell and the rest of the great actors as actresses in that movie!!

On a more serious note: the fight is not even close to over . Now is when we have to be more vigilant than ever about them slipping something in the back door and sodomizing law abiding American Gun Owners!!

  18. She’s living proof of that saying, “Only the good die young.” Keep supporting the gun rights groups and keep voting against people like her.

  19. The demon sleeps only to rise again in a different form, with more fearsome plagues with witch (intentional) to plague the population when they are again vulnerable .

  20. It sounds like she pulled the line from an old James Ingram song, “Just Once.”

I did my best but I guess my best wasn’t good enough
‘Cause here we are back where we were before
    Seems nothing ever changes . . . .

    Very apropos, no?

  21. Today she vows she will win on the amendment vote. Which she will lose and by BIG number possibly. and so she cries like Obama does today over this and vow vow vow. Keep the pressure up!

  22. This is not over yet. I will not rest until either this bill or DiFi are officially DEAD, whichever comes first. Obama’s chief of staff today said that they will work on this and they will get the votes necessary for an AWB. That means here comes the bribery, coercion, and lying. It’s just another day in the Obama Administration.

  23. The Feinstein AWB Bill was a Red Herring from the get go to get everyone to take their eyes off their respective State Legislatures where countless AWB Bans and gun control bills have been passed or are in the process of being passed!

WAKE UP…We (Gunners) have been losing ground (and the debate) from the get go because we foolishly agreed to take part in the discussion about giving up UNALIENABLE Rights…a discussion which should have never happened, EVER!

  24. From the article:

“If Mr. Reid considers only the straw purchasing measure, it is likely that senators who favor gun rights will offer a flood of pro-gun amendments, many of them likely to pass the full Senate, which could essentially turn a bill intended to strengthen gun regulations into one that enhances gun rights.

It is almost certain that Mr. Reid will at least add the provision to renew a grant program for school security, but even that is not a sure thing because of the country’s fiscal constraints.”

It would be a delicious irony if somehow, an amendment for national conceal carry got stuck in there. Or an amendment that specifically forbids any future “assault weapon bans” or magazine restrictions.

  25. I too believe this is not over by a longshot(pun intended).

When I go on one of my pro-gun “rants” I often have people tell me to calm down or relax….. NO.

Some of you need to remember that one single vote CAN count as two. One for us as well as one taken away from them. Even if I can’t convince a single lib to vote for freedom I may be able to make them reconsider enough not to vote against it. A strong, well reasoned argument may not sink in at the moment but I have to believe that even the most bone headed liberal has the capacity to see reason when the emotion dies down.
