“To blame a gun for a man’s decision is to foolishly attribute free will to an inanimate object. The ability to carry or own a firearm is a right, not a commandment, and I respect the right of any individual who chooses not to carry or own a firearm. I only ask that the same courtesy be granted to me when I choose to exercise my right to do so.” – Mr. ColionNoir

  1. I wonder why it seems that Conservatives always seem to down anybody that doesn’t agree with THEIR opinion? Bob Costas can say anything he wants, I don’t agree, but I defend his right to free speech.

    • Has anyone said that he shouldn’t have the right to say what he did? Gee, I must have missed that. And as far as rebutting what he said, that’s called discourse. He has the right to say it, and we have the right to disagree.

And I may be wrong here, but I’m pretty sure at least a couple of people on the left do the same when someone on the right spouts off. Fun, no?

    • Conservatives don’t always down those that don’t agree, but on this point they do, and the reason is summed up simply in these two questions:

“Do your kooky ideas interfere with my liberty? Do my kooky ideas interfere with yours?”

My kooky idea (that I should be allowed to own/carry a gun if I choose) does not interfere with Bob Costas’ liberty. However, his kooky idea (that I should not be allowed to own/carry a gun if I choose) does interfere with mine.

    • I support his right to say what he said. Don’t like his opinion but he’s free to express it and folks are free to express their opinion as well. First Amendment! Some folks wanted to shutdown a restaraunt for giving to anti-gay causes even though that was their right as a private business, and liberals wanted to shut them down!

Pot, calling kettle. I’m a registered and proud Democrat btw. Only really conservative on gun rights.

    • Wouldn’t it be on par that we shit on his first amendment rights since he sees it fit to shit on our second amendment rights?

  2. + 100000000!!!! He has truly hit the nail on the head. My constitutional rights! I won’t bother yor rights and you don’t bother my rights! Pretty simple and straight forward!!

  3. Amen to that, but for some reason the gun grabbers think when you come into contact with a gun, it metamorphasizes you into a violent, remorseless Terminator like killing machine that murders people on sight.

    • Except that, given how many guns are legally owned in the US, and the number of people who own them, it would seem that if gun owners were the crazy violent irrational idiots the antis make us out to be, we should have by now killed off every last one of them. I’m not advocating that, but using their own logic, that is where we should be if htey are accurate in their assessment of the average gun owner.

  4. I knew this vid wouldn’t take long to get uploaded. He hits it on the head, as usual. Only problem is I think he was busy with this so he hasn’t uploaded his weekly Walking Dead episode review, which are always hilarious.

  5. Very well said and 100 % correct, but it wont change anything. The die is mostly cast, gunners vs. anti’s, progressive vs. conservative, MSM lies vs. balanced/fair criticism, the left wont care about their rights disappearing until it’s too late…so for now, they sure as hell dont care about the second amendment. Maybe I’am a pessimist, but I dont see much changing without some serious concessions or violence. And no, I dont want the violence.

  6. Many of you may have heard of the Auto Zone employee fired for retrieving his firearm from his vehicle to confront a robbery at his store.

So, below is the response I sent in to Auto Zone. I no longer shop there.

    “Congratulations!!

You have successfully run a customer off, for life. Plus anyone else that I can convince to shop elsewhere.

Why? By firing an employee for daring to attempt to protect himself and others from a robbery. Since you have no regard for the safety of your employees or customers, then I will choose to shop elsewhere.

Policies that demand employees remain helpless in the face of potentially life threatening situations only make victims. Read the newspaper. Look at some REAL statistics.

Thank God none of my friends or family work for you.

    John”

  7. Well, I’d rank that up there as the most concise Minute-32 argument on any subject I have heard. Mr. Colion Noir you have a gift to drill down to the heart of this subject. Good luck in life. I envision you as an excellent attorney.

  8. I am really liking this guy more and more. Plus it seems that Mr. ColionNoir is also a Yankees fan (the hat). Another reason to like him.

    • bontai Joe: Hate to burst your bubble, but he actually did a video not too long ago (that I can’t find right now) where he says that he wears the hats he wears because they go with his outfit, or just because he likes them, and does it without much regard for the team actually displayed on them.

  9. this is one sharp brother there, now if only there where more of us in the 2a crowd.., but i digress, he make excellent points (as ususal) in this video.

  10. …You guys should check him out – Mr Noir is rather prolific on you tube…I greatly enjoyed his thoughts on the .45 vs 9mm “controversy.

  11. Ok, I see him referred to a lot here in this blog as well as see his mug a lot on youtube. But after this post, I WILL subscribe. The man obviously has something to say that I don’t mind hearing. Shame he doesn’t make the money costas does. Intellect and talent like that should be at least rewarded in some way. My being a subscriber should help in that regard.
Oh, and because he’s african-american, the left wouldn’t touch this with a ten foot pole because, you know, he might be democrat… He can talk for us non-white gun owners as far as I’m concerned. Mr. ColionNoir FTW!
