    • So she doesn’t have any armed people protecting her…Where does Arkansas find these people? Ya’ll need to vote these people out. I have something for her. You have the right to remain silent”.

  1. Lol no.

But seriously. Do away with the practice of having armed guards at your capitol building, then we’ll talk.

    • “Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary.” -Karl Marx

So yeah, she doesn’t get guns because she’s a useless bourgeois politician piece of crap, but the rest of us will be redistributing her wealth.

  2. Another one of Hillary Clinton’s black Americans that is leftist liberal Progressive bull crap probably a member of black lives matter. This is the problem with politics you have all these crooked ass people that participate there should be some type of drug test plus mental screening before letting any of this half-wit morons in the office I’m so glad we finally have a businessman instead of a career politician running things the way it was supposed to be from the get-go. There was never supposed to be career politicians.

    • Another minority, whose only experience with guns is minorities killing minorities, ready to infringe upon the rights of the rest of us.

Don’t think this anti-gun attitude is solely due to them wanting to stop black-on-black murder. They don’t really care about that. No, they’re concerned with white people being able to defend themselves against black criminals. Don’t believe me? ASK GEORGE ZIMMERMAN. The black caucus in Congress immediately decried Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, and a minority led caucus in Florida instantly started making noise about strengthening Florida’s gun laws.

Colion Noir and Niger Ennis aside, minorities do not have a positive impression of firearms. Minorities in Congress are overwhelmingly gun grabbers.

      • Can you just imagine what a great country we’d have if we had never given women and blacks the right to vote? They ruin everything.

        • I know you’re being an ass—-but women and minorities were overwhelmingly responsible for the election of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama—and gave Hillary Clinton the popular vote win.

People who vote emotionally or along race and gender lines are not voting logically.

Look at who the enemies are, realistically. Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, Barbaa Boxer, Maxine Waters, the Cuban female Republican Antitare Flores in Miami, the congressional black caucus, Carolyn McCarthy—all rabidly anti gun.

They are indeed a problem. I actually think that if you’re not available for the draft, if you’re not going to be conscripted to die for your country, that you shouldn’t be able to vote.

      • Her comment about Gid was in response to another lawmaker who asserted a God-given right to carry a gun.

Ultimately, this womam voted for this bill, too, despite her rhetoric.

    • The people of Pine Bluff, Arkansas elected her. A very interesting little town, as I was growing up, the rumors were that the police and fire depts. stayed out of “that” part of town over the weekend until Sunday morning to go pick up all the bodies. Unfortunately the town has gotten worse as it descends into something that makes Memphis look safe and prosperous by comparison.

        • Being from the Atlanta area, I found the 60% figure underwhelming. Even at 75% they wouldn’t claim that as a “Chocolate City”.
My high school was 90% black. I was the only white kid on the basketball team and one of only two on the football team.
There wasn’t any more violence at my school than the average white school and I never had any trouble. These kids were from the upper middle class suburbs. There was a heavy marijuana presence though. I didn’t partake.

    • I’d guess guilty white liberals who nonetheless live their guns. That’s why she lashes out like this, but still ended up supporting the bill. She wants to keep her job and is P.O.’d that she has to appease people who cling to their guns and religion.

      • No, isn’t she voting for the bill because it keeps guns out of stadiums or something? She’s just angry because it allows/preserves guns in universities. She’d prefer both were off limits, but one is better than nothing.

  3. …And when the inevitable push-back happens to her *very* poorly thought out and short sighted position, will she shriek racism?

  4. Once more, you have a liberal admitting they shouldn’t be allowed to have guns, yet believing they should be allowed to write legislation. These people think that their inability to use the best tools for self defense gives them a moral authority. Their ineptitude gives them a mandate to strip other people of the best tools for self defense.

Whatever God you believe in, or none at all if you prefer. The ABSOLUTE best tool to defend your person and your home is a gun. If you can’t handle the responsibility, please don’t project your own incompetence on me.

  5. Sadly, she’s 100% correct. Cthulu, although worthy of praise, really keeps a tight leash on his minions. No guns for her.

    • Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

      He’s sleeping!

For God’s sake DON’T WAKE HIM UP!

      (Tip-toeing away as *quietly* as I can…)

      • Well Sweden already failed at that. I hear Japan and the US are taking a crack at keeping him asleep this weekend. You know Japan never fails at this stuff.

By the way betting pool closes at noon and maintenance is the favorite again.

        • And now I know what the movie is going to be for Pizza and a Movie night. Thank you for the suggestion.

  6. I thought the article might be biased since there was a “…” in the quote which normally means they took an out of context sound bite.

Looks like that is not the case, youtube videos shows that this lady was pretty unhinged during her speech.

  7. More from the article:
“Flowers directed her frustrated remarks at NRA darling Sen. Trent Garner (R-El Dorado), who opposed the exemption and spoke passionately on the “God-given” right to carry a gun.”

I think proclaiming a God-given right to carry a gun is problematic. The Bible doesn’t mention guns.

We stand on more solid ground when we say we have a God-given right to defend ourselves from the evil in this world, and a government that denies us access to the best tools for that job denies us that right of self-defense.

The Bible mentions evil over 600 times, and progressives love to use the word “access” in their worldview of universal entitlement for all. That argument will leave them tongue-tied.

  8. Full video here. Lady got pretty unhinged quickly in this floor speech.

Not sure why people think yelling and being “passionate” makes them look intelligent. It’s just going to get passed around in video format so they get laughed at. I can only imagine the sound bites that will happen when she runs for re-election.

    http://www.arkansasmatters.com/news/local-news/web-extra-watch-ar-sen-flowers-impassioned-speech-on-new-gun-law/683917118

Also interesting, if you look up the bill, she ended up voting for it. So she make a “Fuck guns” speech for 4 straight minutes and then voted for it. Guess she isn’t as stupid as she looks. Still needs to get voted out of office but I am impressed that she knows how to play the game.

    • From the original quote:
” I’m voting for the damn bill. I don’t want to.”

I don’t know why. It was a bill providing for campus carry but allowed guns to be banned at sporting events.

      • I think she’s a pretty savvy politician, myself. Making a loud, impassioned, anti-gun speech—that she knows is being recorded—and then voting for the very law she’s protesting about means that she 1. satisfies prior agreements with her peers and 2. provides herself with great sound bites to use when she runs for re-election. Telling your constituency that you support one set of political ideals, like gun control, yet voting in the exact opposite direction is an old political ploy. I’m sure she calculates that her constituents are not going to pay nearly as much attention to her actual voting record as they will to her over-the-top denunciation of gun rights. As performance art, I think what she did was pretty cool.

    • I think you are confused. Female does NOT = “Lady”

See also Hillary Clinton, Michelle/Michael Obumer etc.

    • Her speech was pretty nutty. But in the end – she blamed the gun. All that misery in her story? Guns. It was the guns.

  9. “Let a man never stir on his road a step
    without his weapons of war;
for unsure is the knowing when need shall arise
of a spear on the way without.”

    Havamal Stanza 38

Odin says I have to, should I listen to the god who’s son was nailed down or the one who’s son swings a hammer? Go to Hel yourself.

  10. TTAG headlines lately cover a lot of “god fearing” people ( from lay people to clergy ) who really, really hate anyone having the ability to defend themselves.

    • They are doing gods work, helping to identify the heretics. Funny that most are Protestant types. Although the Pope is pushing that line as well.

God warned the biggest threat to the faith was corruption from within.

  11. Evidently, wherever she hails from is not one of the United States of America, where we have a God-given right of self-protection affirmed by the Second Amendment.

  12. This lady is not a good christian or Muslim for that matter, Christ himself told the disciples to arm them selves with the assault weapon of the day, wonder where Peter got the assault weapon to cut off the guys ear?
Other Faith? suggests that the people arm them selves and destroy Heretic’s. she fits in with unbelievers or God haters and the like, she is so irrelevant she has to get up in front of everyone and prove her hate for the Constitution and people in General just like any good card carrying Democratic party terrorist, obstructive in personal freedoms for the glory of her Self and put dependence on a Nanny state that she espouses for the benefit of supposedly all people but especially more for the oppressed Race of a 150 years ago!

  13. No guns for Negroes, except elected left wing black democrats and the white police officers they support. Her knee pads are getting a work out from all the left wing money she is getting. She represents her white north eastern money interest very well.

    • That passage is a complicated one, when you truly try to understand it in theological context. But what we know on a secular, cultural level is that the eleven disciples with Jesus at that point had two swords between them.

In other words, some of Jesus’ closest followers were armed, even before he told them to tool up.

  14. Going to hell with my guns? That would be so fvckin’ awesome, I can’t stand it! Dude, picture it: arriving in Hell, surrounded by demons, but luckily State Sen. Flowers allowed me to bring my guns with me. Walking through the underworld with all my worldly guns by my side ready to face all the demons, and I mean all of them: 4,439,622 divided into 666 legions, each legion composed by 6,666 demons, and all of them ruled by 66 hellish dukes. Sweat dripping from every pore, eyes nearly blinded by the gas blowing back from my AR and AK, covered in a fiery gore, I cut through all of them, all of them to find the 7 principles waiting on me. Piles of lesser demons and dark cherubim litter the fiery landscape. I leap atop the biggest pile and take aim. Crack goes my rifle as it sends jolts into Baal as he has done to so many with his thunderbolts, 6 more principle demons to go. I turn, it’s Leviathan, he takes me in his grasp, but I manage to free an arm and pull out my (all black of course) 1911. The demon melts away as 7 rounds of .45ACP send him to the icy seventh circle. Who’s next? Astaroth? Lucifer? Mammon? All advance towards me with a fury like no other ever seen in Hades, but then a voice calls to them to STOP! All remaining princes of Hell cease their attack immediately. Who else could it be, that could instantly make these princes do their bidding? Surely Satan…but no! As they part to allow their Dark Lord through…it’s Arkansas State Senator Stephanie Flowers! I drop every firearm, and pull from a mighty stone a brutally epic skull sword. The senator shrieks with all the bloodcurdling rage of a thousand demonic furnaces as her eyes turn red and her dreadlocks become serpents, each deadlier that a 666 Asmodeus’. We charge towards each other, ready to lock into final battle…

Oh god, I need to go get a cigarette. That’s pretty metal.

  15. She’s a (D) so she supports abortion, so her g o d is satan (at least that’s what satanis professed to think).

satan (spits) doesn’t guve out right or extend anything else that’s good. He doesn’t have any power that you don’t give him Ms. Flowers, and you can keep giving him sexual favors but he won’t call you.

  16. Senator Flowers:
What does “your god” tell you about medical care? Does S/He feel that you should just embrace fatalism and avoid any treatment for the sake of saving and/or protecting your life?

  17. NEHEMIAH 4

    Opposition to the Rebuilding

4 [a]When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews, 2 and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said, “What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?”

3 Tobiah the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, “What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!”

4 Hear us, our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. 5 Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of[b] the builders.

6 So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart.

7 But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the people of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem’s walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry. 8 They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it. 9 But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.

10 Meanwhile, the people in Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.”

11 Also our enemies said, “Before they know it or see us, we will be right there among them and will kill them and put an end to the work.”

12 Then the Jews who lived near them came and told us ten times over, “Wherever you turn, they will attack us.”

13 Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. 14 After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”

15 When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.

16 From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah 17 who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, 18 and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.

19 Then I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. 20 Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!”

21 So we continued the work with half the men holding spears, from the first light of dawn till the stars came out. 22 At that time I also said to the people, “Have every man and his helper stay inside Jerusalem at night, so they can serve us as guards by night and as workers by day.” 23 Neither I nor my brothers nor my men nor the guards with me took off our clothes; each had his weapon, even when he went for water.[c]

    • No, I bet she didn’t. She’s likely from some gerrymandered all black district. She is there for life.

    • You need to understand that in some cultures, behavior such as hers is expected and considered appropriate. Whenever they feel wronged, they scream and shout and curse, destroy property and kill people with indiscriminate abandon.

Her constituents will watch that video and shake their fists and say, “You go, girl!”

  18. Let’s start a new recurring post: The Crazy Female Politician of the Week.

But Maxine Waters can’t be eligible because if she was, nobody else would have a chance to win.

  19. I’m atheist. What you discuss with your god is not at all relevant to me, nor is it relevant to any sort of governance activities. Base your legislation on logic and rational thought, not superstition.

  20. Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and
likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Hmmmmm, seems God begs to differ Stephanie…..

  21. The fact she got elected doesn’t speak well for her constituents……uneducated crack addled ghetto trash from Pine Bluff….

  22. Freedom of religion. I don’t serve that God. So I can carry if I choose. Of course if you won’t follow the second amendment, why should you follow that one?

  23. Arkansas, huh? I wonder if Slick Willy diddled that one too? Inquiring minds want to know, she sure acts like a Clintonista

  24. Since she wants to go the “God route”…

Ask her to explain Luke 22:36:

“And He said to them, “But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one.”

Or Perhaps the “God she serves” isn’t the Christian God… the one the whole Bible is based around.

  25. All of the crazy gun hating liberals need to be stripped of citizenship and deported. We have a constitution that our country was founded on. If you don’t like it, get the f**k out….. This is America!!

  26. “Where I’m from, the God I serve does not tell me that I have a fundamental right to carry a gun. … Go to hell with your guns.” – Arkansas State Sen. Stephanie Flowers

How much do you want to bet she is a member of the “Separation of Church and State” chorus any other time?
