Very good. I posted in response to a couple of his articles and said something very similar. One of his recent articles was about parents walking around with their children late at night in casinos. He began by expressing a desire to beat them over the head with a hammer.
He claims to be a free thinker on his twitter page but from what I’ve read he is anything but. He has adopted the media/politician promoted box labelled “this is what it means to be a liberal”.

Exactly. I don’t really get this new trend of glorifying some guy on the Internet’s anti-gun ranting. He probably got more traffic from this post on TTAG than his whole site has in the last three years. Why dignify him? Same with Tim Wise. What’s the point? We know there are people out there who think like that. If it’s someone with a big following, then it’s worth having the debate. These guys, not so much.
Personally, I like knowing who is out there attacking the right to KABA. Know thy enemy.
It also envigorates me to go out and make a difference. To counter such hate, fear and bigotry gives a feeling of accomplishment in defending such an important right.

There is a point to hear what Bloomberg or the MSM is saying but beyond that what we we are seeing is a need to fill space. How many articles can be written about subjects like self defense tactics, gun law, Glock vs 1911 or caliber wars? Besides there aren’t that many new products to write about. I mean how interesting is Gen 3 vs Gen 4? The R51 disaster was probably the most interesting new product story in the last year. So now we mostly get is an obscure anti-gun nut of the day, and the daily why I hate the police post to keep the forum going until some real newsworthy event or new product arrives on the scene.

I am 23 and reading that comment about “B O O K S T O R E” is irritating. When I was 13 the only phone people owned were flip phones with maybe a watered down version of Tetris. There were also fancy blackberries but no one 13 owned one. In fact, before high school I didn’t even know cell phones were a thing until the very end of middle school when a few kids starting getting them when their parents got sick of loaning theirs out on weekend movie nights.
I have very found memories of the spring book sale every year k-5. They’d set up the library and turn it into a book store for the week. We’d leave class on a special outing and make lists so we could go in with our parents and buy cool books and fun school supplies that staples didn’t carry.
My point being, the authors immediate condescending, ignorant attitude towards people under 25 is terrible journalism (if you could even call it that). Anyone 50 or older who is a parents knows what I am taking about. So really his target audience are the 80s kids because he thinks it’s a great idea to ostracize young, impressionable minds. You know, those ones you might have actually swayed with your op ed piece “useless” and antiquated rights.
Really the entire tone is just offensive for anyone 25 or younger. Regardless of my contradicting beliefs, the author comes off incredibly pompous and rude.

The one drawback to freedom of speech is that even the ignorant and the fool enjoy that right without understanding nor accepting the fact that those who disagree with them also enjoy that right. The failure of the ignorant is that they do not understand the importance of the Second Amendment, which is why it second, being only slightly less important than the First.
Here is what bothers me about people like this: there is a mechanism in the Constitution to make changes in it. You do not like the second, then bully for you and change it through the constitutional process set up by the founders. You do not have the right to ignore the constitution, but you have the right to change it.
