  1. “I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.”

I believe what she meant to say is…

“I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of politicians”

    • “……I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people……”

      Translation:

      “My beliefs trump the Constitution”

      One word – ARROGANCE.

      • Hitlery Speaks: Democrats and Liberals click their heels, thump there chests, forcefully raise one hand in the air and give off a resounding…

        ZIEK HIELLARY!!!!!!!!!!

      • You.re correct but it is not arrogance it is elitism.

TTAG has done a great job identifying “gun control” as confiscation. Within the anti’s there are also a segment who is not anti at all. This group will confiscate guns then only allow an elite group to have and carry guns. This group will include some government workers, bodyguards of the elite and the rich, the famous and the powerful who support the elite.
        A tribune will be appointed.

        Read the quote again;

“I think we’ve got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime. I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.”

        They will never give up.

        Neither must we.

    • Imagine for a moment how boring it would be if you had to attend a magician’s performance where all the the trick’s “secrets” were carefully explained beforehand. That’s Hilliary Clinton. Like all of the hard left, there’s a pathology in her politics. The problem she faces is that we’ve been down this road before with her. We’ve seen her show. Saul Allinsky’s “Rules For Radicals”? Ok. Isolate you enemies and then demonize ’em? Yep, been there, done that. Now what, Hil? But this is all she’s got and, now, after too long on the road, the act’s gone stale, her audiences have started repeating her lines along with her. She’s become a parody of herself.

The thing about Hilliary Clinton is that, unlike her husband who has the gift of the silver-tonged devil, she’s not a good public speaker and, if anything, her ability to express even relatively complex ideas is even worse. Unlike Bill, when she opens her mouth she instantly becomes her own worst enemy. Think instant cognitive dissonance.

There’s a reason you’ve never really seen her engage in public debates and, yet, if she runs for President, that’s exactly what she’s going to face. If she goes up against ever so civil and ever so skilled public debaters like Rand Paul or Ted Cruz she’s dead meat.

  2. I would have to ask why?

Violent crime is at a 10 year low right? And if guns were “the problem” then we wouldn’t have seen that downtrend, as gun sales from 2008-2013 seemed to be increasing at an increasing rate…if anything, if the Hildebeast was being intellectually honest, she would conclude that guns have no negative effect on violent crime

    • Moderators….Can you please start a thread for suggestions for an avatar for Hildebeast so we don’t have to see her ugly fvcking mug for all the posts you guys are going to make for the next 3 years as she runs for US Lesident?

You can do it for health reasons for your readers and their reduced blood pressures. I propose we get one for the sitting jackass also.

      • She’s wearing her Feinstein pearls.
I’ve been clamoring for avatars to represent Watts and Feinstein for months now.

        • I think we should start a “Don’t be Hillarious in 2016” campaign. Maybe a slogan like “Vote Republican, what difference at this point does it make?”

      • re an avatar for the cunning stunt, how about we start a contest?

I vote we use a gif of a steaming pile.

        • YES! a STEAMING PILE of MULE CRAP should be used instead of having to look @ that FUGLY MUG of HERS again. And a Brown-Painted Wooden PINOCCHIO complete with STRINGS should be used for the OBOZO-in-the-Oval-Office.

  3. Jezebel needs to remove the weapons from her body guards and those of her husband first. Do it in a very public way. Announce it and celebrate the fact that none have any weapons, nor will carry any weapons where ever they go and what ever they do. I would suggest she return to Benghazi where she put Americans’ lives at risk and did nothing. Put her life at risk and do nothing.

    • “I think we’ve got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime.”

Says the woman with armed body guards everywhere she goes; along with most of her fellow congress critters.
The do as I say and not as I do is so blatant, and yet most people just accept the hypocrisy.

      • “…most people just accept the hypocrisy.

I won’t believe most people do. I will believe most people see through it right now. Yes, MSM outlets will massage it into the minds of most for the next 30 months. Any lie that is repeated often enough will be accepted as truth by people who are not vigilant.

Until they become vigilant. And IMHO people are waking up and discerning their need to become vigilant. What the MSMs did to elect Obama twice may not work leading up to November 2016.

  4. Further down in the article;

“But Clinton also gave an olive branch to gun owners, adding “I think you can say that and still support the right of people to own guns.”

Some “olive branch.” You can support the right own guns, just not all of you everywhere. Now just to work out which infringements you will accept.

    • She didn’t say “you can”. She said “I THINK you can…” Thus, when convenient, she can pretend she was merely mistaken.

      • bingo…i had a friend years ago who worked in a boiler room, and they were trained to say “we believe such-and-such is going to happen…” so if later on it didn’t, they could backpedal and blame it on their [subjective] “belief”…same thing with “i think…” listen to the politicians: they all use the same words, because they work.

  5. So now that we have the standard bearer of the Democrats going on record saying that UBC’s and registration (both oft touted “common sense” reforms) aren’t good enough for the goal can we stop pretending that any “common sense” politician wants anything less than total disarmament and confiscation?

    • I read her statement as more than for UBC and registration. I see her statement about the “guns everywhere” culture a full on assault on shall-issue.

An olive branch to own guns. Not to, you know, carry them or actually use them.

    • Here we go again. She is supposed to be President right now. That was the consensus in 2006. She will not be the nominee although the person who gets the nod will be just as bad as she is.

      • The social agenda was to have a Black President even though Hillary was probably the better candidate at the time given the experience between the two. The people choose the more eloquent speaker and community organizer and many choose because of white guilt. The next social agenda is to have a Women President, an the candidate will be Hillary or Warren. She will be the next candidate — democrats who feel bad she was not nominated and those who believe she should have already been POTUS will make is so. In democratic circles social justice trumps candidate qualifications and the needs of the nation.

I hate both parties BTW — IMHO, less democrats, less republicans and more constitution but the chances of a Libertarian President is far off — people have to suffer a lot more.

I would love to see how many gun owners actually get off their duff and truly vote. Unless there is a massive loss by the democrats in the mid-terms, they will feel empowered to pass more gun control laws and that sets up the ticket for Hillary.

        • In all honesty though, I’m glad things played out the way they did, theres 3 years left but all indicators seem to point to the fact that America will survive the Obama presidency without any truly negative consequences. The fact that Obamacare is pretty much the only measurable accomplishment is ok with me.

I don’t really want to think of what might have happened post Aurora or Newtown with a Clinton in the Whitehouse. As it stands other than Shannon Watts nothing particularly tangible came out of that. Most of the new laws are either floundering due to lack of implementation or being challenged in court. Its like the post on here a little while back “In Spite of it all we are still winning” said, 2A support is still very strong. I find it hard to believe that we would be in the same place if someone more competent or politically connected was at the helm. Heck, like Farago said last week (I think), Romney would have sold us down the creek as fast if not faster than Obama tried to, look at his track record in MA.

Here’s hoping Americans with brains come out and vote this coming November to take back the senate and increase the margin in the house so that at the very least Hillary doesn’t have home field advantage if she gets elected in 2016. Bill actually did some great things for this country when he had to actually work with Republicans.

        • That massive loss is coming although the Republicans may fall short of Senate control again. The only thing that will prevent that is you faux Libertarians staying home because you prefer Hillary to a Scott Walker or Mitt Romney.

Hillary is unlikely to get the nomination or win the election. The Millenials gave Obama White House in 2012 and maybe even 2008 and they aren’t going to come out for her. Liz Warren yes but not the old news, old lady Clinton.

The next election will not center on gun control. It will be all about more free stuff.

      • I’m waiting for Michelle’s hat in the ring, she is as qualified as Hillary was in ’08. Actually more qualified, she has an additional qualifying factor…

        • Not quite, because in 2008 Hillary Cl*nton [censored] was a sitting senator. That’s far more qualification than Michelle O**** [censored] has. Fast forward past 2008 to now: Now of course she’s also an ex-secretary of state, so that’s yet more qualification, at least on paper. (She was utterly incompetent at that job, but that’s a different matter. What difference does it make? /sarc)

        • @tdiinva

I live in Massachusetts and believe me the country is not ready for Liz “Lying Hiawatha” Warren who claimed to be 1/32 Cherokee to get into Harvard where they advertised her as their first women of color where she later would teach 1 course for $430k a year and spent her spare time flipping foreclosed properties to become the wealthy little high cheek boned one she is now. She is so far to left I can see her on my right flank.

    • Whose Secret Service codename is already “The Flying Buttress”.

With that @zz, Hillary has to carry euros in one pocket and pesos in the other.

This is not `ad hominem’; since Hillary is female, it is `ad mulierem’.

  6. There are a lot of SCT justice retirements coming up in the next 10 years. Odds are, the next Prez will appoint several. Also keep in mind, pro-business moderate republicans would rather have Billary than Cruz or Paul, and some have already donated money because they find the current crop of R bat-shiate crazy. Make no mistake, 90% chance she is running and nobody cares about Ben-GA-zi. Just saying, your gun rights may hinge on holding your nose and voting for a moderate “RINO.”

And as I noted above, I read her statement as more than for UBC and registration. I see her statement about the “guns everywhere” culture a full on assault on shall-issue.

      • Yet, of the three, Mitt Romney actually banned guns. Somehow ‘all is forgiven’ and ‘he’d never do that again’.

        • Again, missing the big picture. Romney and McCain were far from perfect, but we wouldn’t have Kagan and Sotomayor FOR LIFE if folks would have voted. Talk about “bat-sh*t crazy”…..and those two, along with whoever the next POTUS appoints, will be interpreting the constitution for us until they die. Gee, thanks.

        • Romney didn’t ban guns, the state legeslature passed restrictions with with a veto proof majority. Romney was running in Massachusets and he ran as far to the right as he could and get elected. So what he did in Massachusetts bears little relationship to what he would do on broader scale. I note the the beloved by people like you Rand Paul endorsed Susan Collins for relection even though you would call her a RINO. Whatever Paul’s faults he is responsible guy who doesn’t think better a Hillary than a Susan.

  7. What difference does it make? I mean really, who needs Rights when you have “article(s) of faith.”

  8. You know it’s funny, I don’t really care what she “believes.” I’m mostly concerned with what the constitution has to say. It’s usually mighty fortunate that laws and policy can’ or shouldn’t be dictated by personal feelings. Cause you know, feelings can change.

    • How is the SCOTUS not taking the NJ case and other 2A cases working out for you? Or the fact that many judges ignore the 2a and apply whatever the executive branch of that state believes?

  9. I think the newest would-be lord and master meant “reign over” rather than “rein in”.

  10. I don’t care what Hitlery says, I don’t care what any new fascists in SCOTUS may say, I care what is in the constitution. Want to light a powder keg you COMMENT SELF MODERATED? Go right ahead. We are sick of your ANOTHER COMMENT MODERATED.

  11. The ultimate irony in gun control is…they will use their guns to take ours.

Note to Paul T. McCain: That is what James Yeager was talking about with his infamous “start killing people” remark.

  12. We at Everytown for Gun Safety™ applaud Mrs. Clinton for having #gunsense. After all, you don’t [B]need[/B] a gun to get coffee, to go to Waffle House, or to work at FedEx.

We have started a $50 million grassroots campaign to tell you what’s best for you. For the children.

  13. Could the anti-Christ be a woman? I don’t think Rodham is a lock. Of course Slick Willie has been elevated to sainthood so who knows what will happen. I’m also annoyed at Bill hanging out with Bush”new world order” Senior.

  14. “I think we’ve got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime…”

    What she meant was:

“I think we’ve got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime – with the exception if us the elite and our armed Secret Service bodyguards”

There I fixed it for her.

  15. It’s not an article of faith, it’s an article of the constitution you dumb COMMENT MODERATED.

  16. “anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime. ”

So, my sister who is 20 and doesn’t have a CHL can legally buy a handgun from an FFL and carry that handgun to NYC…

    No…?

Oh, well then, I guess it’s not quite that bad yet. Or good, depending upon how you slice it.

      • Since the GA law passed, even though it has not yet taken effect, I have noticed CNN.com has been posting every shooting they can print that happens in GA. It’s almost as if they are trying to expand upon a narrative or something.

  17. Color me suprised.

    Also

I think we’ve got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that my husband BILL can have a Woman, anywhere, anytime. I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.

Makes it Hillary-ous if you change a few words around.

  18. Well, there it is, that’s the start of her push for a total gun ban. I’ve been saying it since the 90s. Hillary Clinton will eventually be president, and she will lead the charge for total gun confiscation. And moreover, she DOES NOT have a problem starting a war over it. She’s old school, from the NIXON era of politics. She’d have no problem Napalming suburbia. People talk, people walk, but she’s the real deal. All I have to say to all of you is, Talk about it Be about it. We all sit here and talk about what we would do when push comes to shove- well the push is coming. And she’s the one that’s going to do it. So, talk about it be about. People irrationally fear Obama, Queen Hitlery is going to make Obama look like Eisenhower.

  19. How long has shall issue been the law of the land across most of the US?

When does the blood start running?

The state of WA has been shall issue since the 60’s. Vermont never had a permit system at all.

Ive been to one but not the other. I can only assume everyone in VT has been shot to death by now.

  20. No, Mrs. Clinton, not an “article of faith,” rather, the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

You may have read it at some point during your legal education, I’m quite sure.

    • Somehow there was a printing error in her law textbook and pp 677-678 were missing. The Second Amendment was buried in a footnote, set in five point Eyestrain font, on p 678. Thus she never got to see it.

  21. “I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.”

Easy for her to say, having 24/7 secret service protection, at tax payers expense.
And that “vast majority of people” are the unwashed, ignorant, folks, non-elite class.

  22. I’m REALLY hoping that somewhere in the wings is a good (socially moderate, but very pro gun/pro-freedom) Republican candidate that we’ve barely heard of. Christie and Bush are lame. The Presidency is ripe for the taking, but the Repubs still can’t get their act together. It’s amazing.

    • Why specify Republican? I’d be happy with a socially moderate, fiscally conservative, pro-gun Democrat, which is about as likely!

      • Yeah, actually I’m an ‘independent’ only because I freaking hate the two party system. It’s a total sham. But I have nothing but resentment for the Dems and their attacks on law abiding citizen’s freedoms and the Repubs were the only thing that stood in the way and prevented them from pushing their entire sham package through. And I want pay back for Obama’s full liberal assault on our country, so I personally and disinclined to ever vote for a Dem ever, ever. They are the party of Feinstein and Reid and Pelosi. They turned me against them for life by stepping on the third rails that are ‘Socialized medicine’ and the Second amendment.

        • Yup, I used to be independent, but after this administration I’m voting straight Red for the rest of my life. I think that happened to allot of people.

        • I’m with you NCA. As much as I feel the red’s and blue’s are two sides of the same coin I gotta go red just to beat the blue’s.

  23. I think we need to reign in Hillary Clinton’s aspirations of being President, her arrogance, and her belief that she is qualified to speak on any subject and have her rather idiotic opinions taken seriously.

    • Good point. With the reporting of her infinite wisdom on the subject, did anyone ask upon what she based her OPINION? Did she, like, spend some hours of jetting around the world on the taxpayers’ dime discussing (field stripping, training) her attending Special Forces types’ machine guns?

    • Let’s add that to the list of ironically appropriate typos–you meant “rein in” but given that she thinks she’s royalty who should reign over us…. Anyhow, your comment is in the main, quite correct.

  24. I wish they would provide copies of the abridged Constitution they use so I could try and keep up.

  25. Hopefully, all you dumb son of a bitches that voted for Obama have learned your F**cking lesson. Don’t repeat your mistake and vote for this old bird.

  26. Well, at least Hillary doesn’t have to worry about Bill or anyone else splooging all over her frock.

  27. My rights end at your nose, correct? That is why I cannot scream and yell into your ear (causing hearing loss) and claim that my right to free speech legally entitles me to mess up your hearing.

If I have a rifle slung over my shoulder or a handgun in a holster on my hip, how does that infringe on the rights of anyone else? How does that harm them? Answer: it doesn’t. So what legal authority does anyone have to tell me that I cannot have a firearm when I possess that firearm peacefully and I am not interfering with anyone’s rights?

  28. I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but Obama actually succeeded in making me miss GWB.

Please, please, please God, don’t let there be an opportunity for Hillary to make me long for Jeb F*ckin Bush in the Oval Office.

    • Start pining away. The soccer moms of America will elect their favorite post-menopausal feminist icon, and the country will remain fvcked.

      • Na, by the time Monica gets done with the Clinton’s they won’t be able find a home in downtown Mexico City.

  29. Bill Clinton as President said straight out that people could possess guns in American because we have a “national consensus” that having guns for hunting and such is OK. No reference at all to a Constitutional right. I’m sure Hillary! has the same notion–we can continue to possess some weapons at the sufferance of the keepers of the “national consensus”, and when they (ie the governing elites) determine that the “consensus” is no longer there, the guns will be gone too.

  30. Note to Dan and Robert:

PLEASE, PLEASE, no more pictures of the PIAPS. We are going to see all to much of her botoxed face over the next two years, so would you please blur it whenever you have her in a story? Thank you very much.

  31. Wouldn’t make a big deal out of it. So she is anti-gun. And the sun rises in the East. Plus she is preparing most likely to run for president, so she is re-assuring her Democratic base. It would be like a Republican getting ready to run and speaking in very pro-2nd Amendment terms.

  32. This lady is exactly the reason we need guns. Once she gets them she will squash her non-believers. But, she has to deal with Monica now.

    • Assuming the next wave of open borders legislation had not already been rammed through, I’m not sure which prize she would go after first.

  33. It isn’t an article of faith, it is an enumerated right. Go ahead, ask what difference it makes…..oh Hillarious one.

  34. “I think we’ve got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime. I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.”

Translated to speech and placed into the late 1800s: “I think we’ve got to reign in what has become a almost article of faith that anybody ( people of any color ) can say what they want, anywhere, anytime. I don’t believe that it is in the best interest of the vast majority of people ( whites )”

The constitution is not made for the interests of the majority or the minority – it is for all people for equality.

  35. Why is anyone surprised that she is anti-gun? She likes her guns the same way she likes her healthcare. Rationed, controlled by the government, and you can have access only to what they say you can have access too. Hillary is just like my morning coffee, cold, bitter, sour and toxic and cost 3 times what it should.

  36. It may be an overinterpretation of Ms. Clinton’s words to say that she is after shall issue. It is possible, but one would have to be involved at a fairly detailed level to think in those terms. She may be just as likely reacting to the open-carry demonstrations and the like.

What is really interesting is that someone who is quite experienced in politics and who is considering a run for presidency does not see it as a potential disadvantage to be so openly anti-gun. This may not be a good sign.

  37. She’s old and obviously losing her senility. It will be a pleasure to watch her ripped apart, philosophically, in 2015/2016.

  38. If she runs and wins what she meant to say and what she said won’t matter at all. You can bet she will work damned hard to take our rights away.

  39. Uh, Hillary, you are not in the best interests of the vast majority of people.

    As in, your very existence.

  40. Just the person we all want deciding for us what is best for the majority of people.

I thought she was on the ‘ban videogames’ bandwagon (banwagon?). I guess she’s not content with ignoring the 1st Amendment.

  41. Jeeze, whitewater again. Well this is what happens when three million Republicans don’t vote. And just when we have had enough of BO now it’s the time for another lib! Shiiiiit, and here it comes again!
