Question of the Day: Does Call of Duty WWII Suck? [Video NSFW]

In the video below, YouTuber The Act Man uses some strong language to rip Call of Duty WWII a new one. In a 36-minute diatribe TAM bitches about the dearth of weapon choices and a bunch of other stuff. “Five kills for a recon plane?” he asked. “Isn’t that a bit extreme?” And calls it “a watered-down recycled poor-man’s version of World at War.” It’s too gripping (inside joke)! I haven’t played the game yet. Have you? Does it suck?

  1. Honestly it is a little hard to tell a story over and over and keep it interesting without changing the story. That is why this game seems underwhelming. We have already seen WW2 games. If you like the COD series and you like their engine you will like this. If you preferred MOH or Battlefield you will probably view this game in the same light you have other COD entries. The game looks nice and game play is quite well refined and easy to interact with as you would expect.

Personally I am tired of war games about specific wars.

  2. I’ve sold two firearms just in the last month on BP to fund a unicorn gun I was buying. It’s almost universally understood you meet somewhere neutral and populated; in my case the local Bass Pro. Speaking of cellphones, I also video recorded the entire transaction. Gotta love technology. Of course, I was armed as well.

Personally, I won’t even give you a phone number unless you can demonstrate some level of competence over email first. Don’t even think i’m i’m going to give my number out to a misspelled train wreck of grammar and slang. Likewise, I have better things to do than to give my number out to every tire kicker whose only question is “what’s your lowest price?” aka “how desperate are you?”

Anyway, yeah. Know where you’re meeting up. And realize that some items simply carry higher risk of shenanigans than others. I’m not worried about going to the guy’s house who’s selling the antique Chinese desk.

  3. The multiplayer is fine, but it isn’t an easy game. People got used to getting killstreak rewards that Lebron dunk on the other team. It feels less rewarding when you go on a tear but you don’t repeatedly spawn-die when the other team gets a massively overpowered killstreak. Tit for tat. The spawns suck, a couple times each game you’ll kill someone to have them spawn 30 feet behind you and around a corner. the maps aren’t all that great.

Full auto subguns dominate the game. When I have a PPSH and meet someone across the map with an garand, I’m pretty confident that I can get them. i have a 50 round drum, miss 30 shots but hit 7 times, but every time i hit them their gun goes everywhere and they miss nearly all of their 8 shots, even though they only need 3 hits to kill me, and they die when they need to reload.

Games aren’t balanced or fun when smgs that melt people at 3 feet can outclass an M1 or bolt gun at 300 feet. At least they cut down on the explosives bullcrap that made older games so broken.

  4. I was really interested in this pistol because of the ambidextrous controls, if only Springfield hadn’t made the grip so long, and their slide wasn’t so high, and oh yeah, it wasn’t so heavy, especially for a single stack! If they were concerned about capacity, why not work on some innovative extended magazines?

After reading this article all I can say is “What were they thinking?”.

  5. Also can we PLEASE get a big title from a different freakin war!?!?!? Something from Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Gulf War 1, Grenada, hell anything but WWII!!! I just want a big title that takes place entirely in one of these wars or police actions hell we could even do Bosnia and Kosovo!

Yes I know there are a few titles that cover Vietnam but they are mostly PC only (Shellshocked) or it’s only a few missions in the country before moving to bigger and better things (Black Ops 2) I wanna see something like Battle Field 1942 or the original type COD and MOH games done for Korea or Vietnam or Desert Storm hell I’d even be happy with Somalia getting a game like that.

  6. Most of them are not Americans. They are immigrants or the children of immigrants. If you ask them they will call themselves German Americans, Irish Americans, Jewish Americans, Italian Americans, or some other hybridization of American. Adding anything to American means you are not American. All immigration has been bad for Traditional Americans and our freedoms.

    • Hmm, that’s strange, I could have sworn all white people in America were immigrants once. Mostly English, but plenty of Dutch, of course French, then Scots and Irish who started arriving in the early 18th century. To say nothing of the Spanish in Florida who would later become the owners of what was the territory encompassed within the Louisiana Purchase. There is no sin in recalling one’s heritage.

  7. – seems that some sheriffs are concerned about a loss of authority, as constitutional carry increases. With an increase in constitutional carry, robbery, breaking and entering, and crimes-in-public places will decrease. This might also lower the stats that determine how many DEA-funded, unnecessary positions are added to the sheriff and local police departments. The authority of the sheriff remains the same, but the number of staff will be affected, as crime will decrease with the increase of side-arms carried by non-criminal citizens. Sheriffs who openly resist “constitutional carry” are side-stepping the USConstitution, and qualify for concern of the responsible citizenry of Alabama. And, all other states.

  9. Have ya’ll obtained a copy of the internals for this poll? I’d love to go through them carefully.

I was debating requesting the internals (as per their instructions) but I figured CBS would probably just tell me to kick rocks while wearing moccasins since they probably don’t much like TTAG.

You noticed he didn’t talk about Baltimore or any studies that JOhn Hopkins has done on the rise of violent crime on unarmed victims here in the city . People like him live in their imaginary safe bubble and avoid every area here in the city where you might have a confrontation with a criminal

Back to the subject at hand, the Freakin’ GUN.
So all I have to do is make some cash selling off the muzzle brake and refer back to my charts on highest recoil velocity and energy 9mm rounds out there.

Great gun, bet 90% of the replies taking up all the space on this here article can’t afford the carbine either. Go get a new 10mm Hi point and get to work.

  13. I’m 23, graduated college in May, have a full time engineering job after an internship and many summers of construction work. I have purchased 8 firearms for myself over the past five years. Guess that not only makes me a “super owner” but a VERY YOUNG super owner. My guns may not be the most expensive or best quality, but when I pull the trigger they go bang.

  14. See BS news. Whats killing the Gun owner breed? Habitat destruction, or pollution? We’ve made great progress with the California condor, the Whooping crane, American bison and the Red wolf, they may be hope for the Gun Owner breed as well.

  16. Why “negotiating” on ‘reasonable gun control’ has always and will always be a bad idea.

When my friends and family bring up ‘common sense gun control’, i say piss or get off the pot.

abolish the 2nd or go away.

    …they go away.

  17. This guy sounds like an asshole that had been violent in the past and was talking of being violent in the near future. They got his guns no matter how twisted their logic was. That’s what they wanted. His guns.

I believe weed should be legal. But I don’t write federal law.

  18. I think the underlying issue here that is going to have to eventually be solved is the differences between federal law regarding marijuana and the increasing number of states that are ignoring federal law and legalizing or decriminalizing marijuana.
As it stands, such legalization or decriminalizing is unconstitutional; something is going to have to give, either the federal law is going to have to change, or states are not going to be allowed to supersede federal law. Citizens being caught in the middle of contradicting laws is unfair to the citizen. Where do the courts in the individual cases come down? On the side of state law or federal law?
