Kevin Brittingham’s new company Q has been on a roll, releasing new product after new product into the market this year. One product that took everyone by surprise was the Erector — a modular rimfire silencer that can be as small or as large as you want. Eliminating the traditional tube, the cans are quieter, lighter, and most importantly actually innovate in the field. Jeremy’s review of the Q Erector earlier this year put it perfectly: “Nothing’s similar to the Erector, though. Shortest, longest, quietest, loudest…lightest. Awesome.” No wonder then it easily won the vote for the 2017 TTAG Reader’s Choice Award for Best New Silencer of 2017.

And Kevin: the Trash Panda was a close second. Followed by the Full Nelson. With everyone else a distant also-ran.

  1. Does this design run afoul of rules on silencers? If you can modify it or change the configuration from original that the stamp is based on is that legal?

  2. Wanted: One prop blaster reported missing from the set of Star Wars: the Force Awakens.
Reward offered in dollars, power converters, or Republic Credits.

      • After TLJ the episodes 1-3 are now accepted as good star wars movies. You can quote them all day long, you could even talk like JarJar Bings all day long. As long as it’s not as bad as TLJ you can basically do anything nowadays.

    • Or CCI ‘Quiet 22’ ammo (although it won’t cycle a semi-auto). It’s damn quiet, much less sound that most pellet guns and hits hard enough to kill a groundhog out to 50 yds.
