I’ve written on several occasions about how the far left has turned to violence when they can’t win a political debate. Today we have q report of a Florida Democrat and avowed Obama supporter who armed himself, drove to a Facebook “friend’s” house and shot him over an on-line political disagreement. With Facebook friends like that . . .

Yes, instead of merely unfriending the author of the offensive posts that angered him, Brian Sebring, pictured above, aged old enough to know better, opted to take things a step further. The Tampa resident grabbed his rifle and a pistol and decided to settle the on-line score in a more personal, less civil way.

He drove two miles to his so-called friend’s place to throw his life away over a Facebook spat.

Once there, he shot Alex Stephens, 46, twice before Stephens could run away.

Soon after, police arrested Sebring. They’ve charged the now-former pizza delivery driver with shooting Stephens in the thigh and buttocks.

Given Florida’s attitudes about unlawful use of deadly force, Mr. Sebring won’t be posting on Facebook for quite a little while.

The UK’s Daily Mail reports on the story:

A Facebook dispute boiled over into real life on Monday when a Democrat drove over to another man’s home and shot him.

Brian Sebring, 44, of Tampa, Florida, was arrested for shooting Alex Stephens, 46, also of Tampa, in the thigh and buttocks after their online disagreement.

Police say the row began when the two men disagreed over politics on Facebook, and Stephens reportedly began sending Sebring ‘explicit messages and threats’.

In response, Sebring armed himself with an AR-15 and a Glock and drove over to Stephens’ house in Wallace Ave – just two miles away from his own home, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

When he arrived, with his Glock in a holster tucked in his waistband, he honked his horn and waited for Stephens to come out to confront him about the messages, police say.

When Stephens saw Sebring, he charged towards him, which was when the suspect opened fire.

‘The victim ran away and the defendant fled the scene,’ police said.

…It is unclear who Stephens, a felon, supports politically, but Sebring, a pizza delivery driver and married father-of-two, is a registered Democrat who follows Barack Obama on Twitter.

Obviously, one shouldn’t troll mentally unstable people. After all, you might push them over the edge into doing something really stupid. While that might seem amusing to watch from afar, if you get shot or killed as a result of their derangement, it could ruin your whole day.

Personal defense tip: Be careful out there. Block and unfriend crackpots in your social media circles just to ensure a safer existence for you and your family.

  1. Watch him try to claim a “stand your ground”defense…and wait for the outcry from the left when it’s denied.

    • Are you sure it would be so easily denied?

“When he arrived, with his Glock in a holster tucked in his waistband, he honked his horn and waited for Stephens to come out to confront him about the messages, police say. When Stephens saw Sebring, he charged towards him, which was when the suspect opened fire.”

If Sebring was located in a place he was legally allowed to be- the public street, for example- and he is physically attacked by someone, regardless of who got called a meanie-pants on FB first, he has a right to defend himself. There’s nothing in the law that says ‘stand your ground’ evaporates if you drive somewhere the confrontation starts.

Now, was deadly force reasonable? Maybe not. But without knowing the circumstances (disparity of size, ability, youth, etc?) it’s impossible to tell for sure.

The real lesson here is for idiots to stop turning internet and verbal altercations into physical assaults, and that sounds like what the ‘victim’ was doing here… conservative or not.

      • He was in his vehicle and could have easily left. The friend was on foot and apparently unarmed. There is no stand your ground here. I hope he shares a cel with a big black dude so he can try to ease things down on his knees “but I voted for Obama, TWICE!!!!”.

        • “BUT I VOTED FOR OBAMA, TWICE!!!”

This is why you should vote for 6.5 Creedmoor for Governor of California in November. Nobody will ever mess with you ever again!!!

Go ahead and try to unfriend me!! Se what 6.5 Creedmoor does!

      • He initiated the physical confrontation, first by transporting himself, and if not then, by the honking for attention and waiting for the response.

If this took place in meat space, it would be two dudes arguing, one disengages, goes and gets his gun, re-engages, baits the the other guy into making a move and then shoots him. That’s not even in the same county as Stand Your Ground.

    • It’s how leftists win political arguments. By making dissenters lose their lives. Although typically it is done in a mass purge instead of one at a time.

    • Wow, surprise alert a 44 yr old father of 2 “obummer loving libtard pizza driver”. That in it self would classify as a mental health problem child. Like I keep sayin’ the only gun law this country needs is “A ban on guns for the liberal left”. They all seem to hate & want to ban guns but they just keep shooting people. Maybe we should just cut off all their D!*ks (for those who have them) and we could end all the rapes against women in this country too. Stand your ground law does not exist in this case, if the guy died it would be more “premeditated murder”.

  2. When Stephens saw Sebring, he charged towards him, which was when the suspect opened fire.

“One shouldn’t troll mentally unstable people”

    Such as Stephens and Sebring?
They sound like a pair of mentally unstable people.

But, who is legally in the wrong here, both of them?
Stephens allegedly made threats of violence, then charged somebody in a car parked near his home.

Sebring, safe within his car from anything short of gunfire, was he legitimately in fear of death or serious injury from Stephens? Even if he was reasonably in fear seconds before shooting, did he shoot Stephens after Stephens disengaged and ran away?

    • The fact that they argued before the shooting, that the shooter painstakingly armed himself and drove his car to confront his wayward “friend”, I suspect that a claim of self defense will go nowhere. He should have stayed home and Facebooked an apology. Swallowing a persons pride is better than prison in my opinion.

      • He’s going to swallow something else in prison. Good thing he is a very tolerant and highly educated leftard so he won’t discriminate, whites, blacks, Latinos everybody is welcome!

        • Lefties do love to be inclusive, don’t they? Oh, not to mention enlightened, unbigoted and non-judgemental as well… He should get along just fine where he’s going.

    • I had to re-read the excerpt above because I visualized Sebring blowing the horn as he got out of the car. Not that it makes any sense anyway, but charging at someone sitting in a car makes as much sense as charging into a tree. I got to stop giving these idiots that much credit.

  3. I cut off all personal ties with any liberals I have known. They are stupid and crazy, a bad combo. Besides, what fellowship can light have with darkness? Why even talk talk to them? They are scum.

    • I have to wonder about that… given the level of professionalism we typically get from the media, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually a Marlin 60 and a Hi-point.
      🤠

    • I’d say we found a unicorn- we have proof there is a journalist who knows there is a difference between a Glock and an AR!

      • The Glock was a .38 caliber assault pistol with SIX fully semi-automatic chambers manufactured by Smith and Wesson.

The AR15 was manufactured by Ruger, outfitted with a BX25 high-capacity banana clipazine and featured a detachable barrel style called a “take down”, so-named for it’s extra-murdering ability to ‘take down’ entire villages with a single bump.

Or not. I wouldn’t be surprised at this point.

  4. “They’ve charged the now-former pizza delivery driver with shooting Stephens in the thigh and buttocks.”

Sounds like Sebring threw away his one shot at a career.
Here’s hoping he gets real time and not some SJW prosecutor.

    • At 44 years old and the pinnacle of his career in meal delivery service our ‘hero’ decided to throw it all away over a Fakebook friend. Another of Mark Zuckerberg’s victims.

  5. He plead diminished mental capacity, after all he’s a 44 year old Democrat pizza driver. I’m thinking he’s not the brightest bulb in the string.

  6. Just about every person I know that’s far left has some legitimate mental disorder. That’s not just me being mean, they’ve all admitted it to me personally. Enough to the point where it’s made me suspect of anyone far left.

Having said that, this reminds me of that absolute nutcase of a troll that used to visit here. That “more dead soldiers” nutcase. He put crisco kid and “realamericanlunaticyaddayadda”, to shame. I firmly believe that dude was Stephen Paddock. He was known to make threats and stopped posting here just before the Vegas shooting.

  7. I believe I have run into this asshat before. We were over by Macdill AFB looking for an address of someone who had a kayak for sale. We driving slowly up a street and apparently that set him off. I noticed a car coming up rapidly behind me and he swung in front and slammed on the brakes and got out demanding to know what we were doing. I noticed he had his hand in one pocket and now am sure he was carrying . That picture looks like the guy who pulled in front of us. He took off when he noticed my wife was calling the police. Since I had noticed the hand in the pocket my little friend was in hand. Wife was going you weren’t going to shoot him were you? Only if I had see him pulling a gun out then yes I would have. Oh and the police did not give a crap, said it would be 20-25 minutes before they could come by so we said forget it.
And the kayak had one side that looked good and one side that had been exposed to the sun for a what looked like a decade. All in all a waste of gas.

    • I don’t believe your story. I know how law enforcement works in the TB area. Who exactly told you it would be 20-25 minutes before they could come to a disturbance/road rage with the possibility of an armed suspect? 20-25 minutes before en route or 20-25 minutes ETA? Did you forget to tell the dispatcher he was possibly armed? Officers/Deputies would leave from a minor call (civil disturbance, noise complaint, expedite their traffic stop unless criminal traffic violation or involving crash…) to be on their way to this kind of call because chances it escalates are legit, particularly in FL with so many bad drivers and armed people! So either your story is b.s, your wife didn’t explain correctly the situation, or you called securitas instead of the Hillsborough SO or Tampa PD. Cops frequently have to wrap things up with bs calls to go to calls with a potential for violence. Only possibility they were all busy on major calls, possible with the call volume in Hillsborough Cty and Tampa but unlikely imo.

      • i noticed the picture on here and hmm he looks familiar.. so i read the article and thought wow i think that was that guy from a couple weeks back.
I was at an angle as i had veared right when he hit his brakes so my side was towards him. I rolled the window down slightly as he was yelling and standing towards the back of his car which was about 5 feet in front of me. Like i said i noticed he had his right hand in his pocket which made me more uneasy than his yelling. I told him she is calling 911 at which point he turned and started towards his open door.
The wife said some guy pulled in front us and stopped us. Ok now he is getting back in his car. Ok now he is driving away etc.The area was somewhat run down and a lot of the homes had vehicles everywhere so we were trying to find the house based on the description. After she got off the phone was when my wife noticed i had my gun out which i was in the process of putting into the center console. I keep it with me what i am checking out craigslist stuff. We are looking for one of those kayaks that you use your feet to propel. When we found it the kayak had sat against the back of the house for years and no way was it worth $850. So i wasted half a tank of gas for nothing that day.

      • And i don’t care if you believe it or not. I showed the wife the story and she right away was see i told you we shouldn’t have been there.

      • Call the cops more often. You’ll see.
At my job a while back, we told the police that we found out one of our regulars had warrants on him. He already had convictions for destruction of property, harassment, assault, stalking, etc. We told them what day he said he would be in and to expect us to call as soon as we saw him. That’s what we did, we called as soon as he walked in.
It took them 24 minutes to show up. Granted, different county on the other side of the country… but it was a city, not some remote rural area.

      • Does it hurt, riding the cops’ d**ks so hard? Does their boot-leather really taste that good? I live in the area as well. 5 weeks ago while driving home from work I saw a strange disheveled-looking man walking down my street looking in my neighbors windows and trying the door handles. When I asked him if i could help him he immediately turned aggressive, and I started recording with my phone. He threatened to drag me out of my car and beat my ass, and bragged about how he was just released from Quincy Annex (prison) and didn’t take shit from nobody, and then (looking right at my phone/camera) angrily shouted his name and a number (presumably prisoner #?). I drove the block to my house and called the police, while he stood in the street for 10 minutes staring at my front door. Told them exactly what happened. They said they would be there in 15 minutes. They arrived 45 minutes later. I recounted the story, showed them the video, and told them the direction he eventually wandered off in. When I asked if they were going to go pick the guy up they half-laughed and said “No point, I’m sure he’s long gone by now”. Took my statement. I’ve called three times to follow-up and every time they’ve acted as if it was ridiculous for me to expect them to put in any more effort. They have the video where he explicitly threatens me, gives his f***ing name and ID #, and another video showing him standing in my yard staring at my door for several minutes. But they have expended zero effort to do anything against the guy. The one phone call where the officer I spoke with was not rude/dismissive they told me that they had not even gone to speak with or interview him, and that they likely wouldn’t, as they had limited resources and this report wasn’t a priority. So no, Tampa PD is not some paragon of professionalism and civil service. They basically suck, a lot. I’ve beefed up my home security, and hopefully my German Shepherd, my home security, and my bedside gun are enough to keep me safe if that whack-job ever decides to come back to pay a visit. TPD ceraintly ain’t doing s**t.

  8. The blue m&m in the bag !! One look at this guy’s picture and it tells me He’s a nut , leftard with an AR-15 & a glock. What hole he crawled out of makes me wonder how he even got the pizza delivery job. I would not eat anything he delivered. Bet his ex fb friend feels the same.

  9. Florida has VERY stiff laws for crimes involving guns. This guy is going away for decades and FL has truth in sentencing so he’ll serve almost every day of the sentence. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get 30 years in prison.

    • Yep. The vast majority of sentences are consecutive. The only real way to get concurrent sentences in FL is to be very well connected. Which this guy ain’t.

    • If self defense goes in the dumpster (I am confident it will…guy has his car, unarmed guy walks toward him…), it depends what the charge is. Attempted murder is a life felony in FL (up to life in a state prison). I think he will be charged with aggravated battery instead (intent to inflict great bodily harm or to use deadly weapon) which leads to up to 15 years behind the bars. Now the big point is INTENT, if his attorney does a good job with the “mentally instable” part there could be no crime no punishment.

      • He doesn’t seem to have the kind of money to afford a good attorney. He’s probably gonna get a public defender and take the the full ride. And Florida is one of the *worst* states to go to prison in. The prisons do not have A/C.

  10. I’ve always believed the reason that gun grabbers hate guns is that they know they can’t be trusted with one. They project how they would act on honest law abiding citizens.

  11. So a guy threatens a Democrat online and runs at him when he shows up at his house to talk about those threats? The guy who was threatening an overweight pizza man is a felon?

What are the chance that the convicted felon is a white supremacist who hates cucks making his race look bad?

  12. wow,,, a whole page of posts over facebooktards. I guess the SHTF and we lost because the banks didn’t collapse, they haven’t taken our guns but they turned a good portion of the people into onlineidiots.

  13. Just like a Democrat, can not be trusted with a weapon of any kind, bet it was the voices in his head,
that {derangement syndrome you know}. one of nut job Maxine Waters poster boys!
get armed people screwballs are loose!

  14. …Was this guy licensed to have kids in Florida!? My Tricorder is detecting large amounts of ‘Brother/Sister DNA…’ Did this “man”, his family, and relatives reside in an isolated southern trailer park?!

  15. …For some reason, this dude reminds me of the horror movie, “The Hills have Eyes…” Why is that…..

  16. Trump Derangement Syndrome as a legal defense.
Could probably work in predominantly blue regions, except that he used a ‘gun’.
So it could go either way!

  17. Lots of he said/she said in these comments. Let’s just break it down to Liberal/Democrat standard practice. Here’s a list…

In 1881 a left wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States – who later died from the wound.
In 1963 a radical left wing socialist shot and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States.

In 1983 a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan, President of the United States.
In 1984 James Hubert, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 22 people in a McDonalds restaurant.

In 2013 a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza, shot and killed 26 people in a school in Newtown , CT.

  18. There is no RIGHT or LEFT. This is merely where the political parties sat in European parliaments. Think about it: How can Hitler be Far Right and Stalin Far Left?

There is really this kind of scenario: The balanced American Republic in the middle with Tyranny on one side and Anarchy on the other. Then it makes sense that both Hitler and Stalin with on the Tyranny scale, together! This is what so many call the Far Left is aiming for: Tyranny. Call them what they are: Wannabe Tyrants.

  19. Radical Leftist Democrats are no less a scourge on our great country than radical Islamists. They are all terrorists. And no, I’m not sorry if that offends anyone.
