Once upon a time I founded a website called The Truth About Cars. I was “lucky” enough to get a HUMMER to test. The Schwarzeneggermobile was to visibility, maneuverability and space efficiency what Leandri Snyman is to the field of magnetohydrodynamics. The Arnie-mania that fueled the HUMMER fad faded and the U.S. military began developing something better. Eighty-seven years later, et voila! “The BRV-O (Blast-Resistant Vehicle – Off Road) is a next-generation light tactical military vehicle developed by AM General for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) programme of the US Army and Marine Corps.” More to the point, “The trial variant of BRV-O is fitted with an armoured open top glass turret,” army-technology.com reports. “The turret can be mounted with a 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun or automatic grenade launcher.” Cost? At this point, around $3m each. Plus the gun.

  1. So now your the Dennis Miller of gun bloggers?
As to the 4 wheeled Wish-Bone Mentioned above.
If it saves one life, Yeah I’m for it. Every penny we can suck outa Obama’s pocket is a penny spent for Liberty. But why the Doge Front End?

    • “Every penny we can suck outa Obama’s pocket is a penny spent for Liberty. ”

I would be all for that concept, if he didn’t get every penny in his pocket from John B. Citizen. Kinda throws a wrench in the whole thing. Like seeing a government office lose a lawsuit. If you’re paying taxes, that’s YOUR money. Unfortunately, most BHO supporters don’t pay taxes and are on welfare sooooo…. Yeah.

  2. This and the MRAP and the MATV are what the Marines and the army need when we aren’t allowed to be offensive and we can’t chase the enemy back to where they come from.

    • No wonder he can afford those Total Tacted-Out ARs and Self Defense Shooting Classes!
Fargo; WEE KEED BEECAUSE WEEE LOOOVE!

  3. It makes me so proud to know that we have a huge budget for the military and don’t waste it on education, health care, and feeding hungry Americans. (sarcasm off)

        • ts clearance. in my day it was a ts card. if you were having a bad day you were told to take your ts [tough shit] card to the chaplain and see if you could get sympathy there.

    • You guys waste more then enough on education, dumping more money into isn’t gonna make it any better. The systems the problem

Pay for your own health care. Majority of health problems are self inflicted, it’s time people start reaping what they sow. The government should only cover the bill for vaccinations, educating kids about healthy practices to live by & if they’re the ones responsible for hurting you. If someone else puts you in hospital then they should pay your bills. I live in a country with government run health care & I’ve suffered through it in hospital & I suffer through it every time I get a paycheck & see how much of my earnings go to the government via taxes. I hop the border into the US for private health care when I can.

  4. TS
Would you like to explain that?
Would you like to quote a federal regulation?
Maybe a word or two from a federal regulator?
As much as I HATE Top Down regulation,,,,,,,
Ahron has proven himself,,a self delclared,,,something
    take note of his travels

    • ‘Would you like to explain that?’

Don’t care to explain that. You don’t have a need to know and I don’t have the inclination to tell. Good night.

    • Dude, Right, calm down and get that period key fixed or stop abusing your poor comma key for no reason.

There there, little punctuation mark, the pain will end soon.

  5. We’re gonna need one of these to go grocery shopping eventually if things get much worse. For three million dollars it should include the 50 cal and a fed tax stamp for the NFA.

    • this is off topic and my info may be wrong. i’ve heard that we made so many of those m2 50 cals during ww2 that we still have factory new units in stock that were made then.

        • They got a hold of one of those new, unassembled M2s on an episode of Sons of Guns. Will wanted to put it together but didn’t have the “expertise”. He flew in an expert to do the job. Apparently, it’s no simple task even for the average gunsmith. (Of course, I’m assuming they’re at least average.)

        • That was purely for the benefit of the camera, BLAMMO. The Deuce is not very difficult to assemble at all.

        • blammo, i believe that was a 1919 browning. a 30 cal weapon. only episode of that show i watched and i did a whole lot of cringing.

  6. Coming soon to a SWAT team in YOUR big city!!! Because we need them to surpress dissidents! OOPS, I meant, we need them to raid drug dealers! And to escort Mayor MikeB when he visits the peasants!

  7. As a former Inf Weap Repair Instructor who taught the 1919 and M-2 I can unhesitantly say that the 1919 is slightly more difficult to assemble than the M-2 due to the barrel/headspace configuration. Sure you can assemble the feed cover backwards, you can screw up on the Timming, but only if you ignore the directions in the manual, otherwise the average 15YO can do it
