  1. Is there anyone out there sharp enough to put some kind of address book together where we could click a single link and send a single identical email to all these above? I would like to tell them all that as individuals, orginazations, or businesses I as an individual will do what I can to avoid supporting those listed above in any fashion.

    • And Stallone? Certainly he’ll donate all his Rambo Royalties to fund a massive “buyback”. He’s too sincere in his cause to keep any of that gun movie cash for himself.

        • Stallone is one of the biggest hypocrites on that list. He has gotten rich off of glorifying gun violence his entire career.

        • Sean Connery? Say it ain’t so Sean!!

Eli Wallach? How many people did he kill in westerns?

I still think of that photograph of Steve McQueen on his sofa with a big ass revolver (.357 or .44). A real actor…in more ways than one.

        • I never had much use for him (Stallone). He fled to Europe to avoid the draft. When a Vietnam Vets org hit him up for a donation, being he had made a bit of coin playing Rambo, Sly sent them something he must have felt they needed more–an autographed poster of himself in his Rambo regalia. After that, I refuse to watch anything he is in. Not because my not watching could ever matter to him, but I just can no longer stomach the sight or sound of him.

  2. Wouldn’t it have been easier to just list all the business/celebrities/entities who AREN’T opposed to gun ownership? And another thing, who is Peter Bonerz? Seriously, did you just slip that name in there to see if anyone was actually reading this list?

  3. Anybody notice the common theme in most of those celebrity names?

    They’re all F***in old!

I dunno if it means the anti gunners are dying, or if it means nobody at the NRA has seen a movie since Pulp Fiction.

  4. The Hollywood list doesn’t surprise me. Just think of all the violent movies those people have been in. No problem with those but when Lil’ Billy wants to in the outdoors with Grandpa and learn to shoot his .22, JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH CALL THE POLICE! That man is teaching his grandson how to be an assassin!

    • Pitt built Jolie an extensive range on their property in France as a surprise gift. Size unconfirmed, but allegedly it has everything from 360-degree-safe range areas to long-sight-line lanes with pop up targets at various distances.

I keep hoping one of my buddies over at Google will send me a Google Earth link the next time one of the high-resolution sats makes a pass over their estate….

  5. Rob Lowe is anti gun? I wouldn’t have guessed it, he comes acrosa pretty libertarian on his twitter feed. Granted, I’ve only seen what gets reported on Twitchy.

      • Yes Missouri is an open carry state, but from what I understand, the language is so vague that it differs from county to county. So no one does it for fear that they are violating the law….

        • The State left the open carry to the counties/munis. Illegal in STL city, and a few county munis that I remember.

    • It did take a very long time to get CCW in MO – 2003 if memory serves. As the STL Northside has a crime rate that makes Chicago look peaceful, the antis get to hammer that one on the local news, despite the fact its usually illegal guns used when settling issues between criminals.

Much akin to IL, MO has urbanistas and then the rest of the State. Oft times the viewpoints are diametrically opposed.

  6. FYI, the great director, Sidney Pollack has passed on, so you can cross his name off.

I wonder how many people have died from Ben and Jerry’s arterial coagulating dairy products. Seriously. Maybe ban Chunky Monkey?

  7. What a waste of time. You think anyone is shaking in their boots that they have been outed? If anything it is a badge of honor. 300 million folks in America. Half are not with us. That would make a very long list.

  8. Time to write another f’n check. What do you expect from an industry that just got like 480 Million more in write offs. My take home went down 4%.

    • Agree, a pro gun list would be shorter and more pointed and effective. This list of actors looks like 98% of the Screen Actors Guild.

  9. It seems that a significant number (if not the majority) of the Hollywood types have made millions portraying violent characters that used guns. If they are having such an attack of conscience, then they should rid themselves of all that blood money. Until they do so, they are just a bunch of hypocrites.

  10. American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
    National Association of School Psychologists
    American Psychological Association

Hmmm. The NRA thinks shrinks are part of the solution to the mass murder problem. Hmmmm…and where exactly are all of these NRA approved psychotherapists going to come from? Ted? Wayne? Anyone?

    • It appears the AFA is against more gun-control, but in extreme disagreement with the NRA policies and agenda…. hence on the NRA’s crap list.

        • From the website gunsmoke.com:

“Take your blood pressure medication before you visit this site. It pretends to be on the side of law abiding gun owners, proclaiming that compromise is the only way to approach gun ownership. It prides itself in being a home for NRA refugees. Backed by gun grabbers, supported by the same misguided folks that nearly brought the NRA to its knees a few short years ago, the American Firearms Association is no friend of gun owners. Don’t encourage them, don’t support them, and most of all DON’T BE FOOLED into thinking they care about your firearms rights. If AFA had its way, only cops and the military would have guns (no matter what kind of horse-pucky they are peddling this week).”

This organization is either a stealth gun control organization, or they are a collection of Fudds.

  11. If they are anti-gun, they should stop promoting them in the shows on TV and in movies. Or does that mean they would stop making money because people wouldn’t watch?

    • They can’t break their circle-jerk, worldview positive feedack loop echo chamber that is Hollywood, now can they? By that I mean, in movies/media anybody not working for the government who has a gun is a villain or at least a crackpot psycho (whether we’re supposed to “root” for or against them – think Pulp Fiction). They make movies with that formula because it’s what they already believe to be “true”. They believe that formula is “true” because they’re always making movies with that formula and otherwise live in a glass bubble ivory tower gated community … thing-a-ma-whatsit. I can’t think of the last movie I’ve ever seen where a character who was “normal” and “good” owned a firearm and *GASP!* wasn’t a government employee or conscript. Even in Grand Torino, Eastwood’s character was an angry, racist, cranky old man (tickling the “crackpot psycho” character template).

also the 11 listed at the top of the article
    http://gunssavelives.net/blog/11-pro-gun-celebrities-yes-they-do-exist/

  13. I don’t care if this gets me flamed – it’s time to replace NRA leadership NOW. The goal is the same, but this approach makes us all look like out of touch, angry fat old hillbillies. This list is out of date, does NOTHING to bring borderlines or neutrals to our side and makes not a single point in our favor.

We need to be making convincing, broad based appeals, not behaving like petulant adolescents listing everyone who’s ever wronged us.

  14. I know this is an NRA list, but I’m sure the antis would love to use this as ammo for their crusade. If I made a list of 60,000 people in my town that were pro-gun, would any of the sheeple care to see that? I’m sorry, I forgot that celebrities are the most wise, high, and righteous amongst us…

  15. In the interest of the investment I’ve made in 400+ DVD’s I’ve stopped reading these lists. The more I read, the more of my DVD’s I don’t want to watch anymore. I’m happy watching my movies knowing there’s “only” a 90% chance the actors in it run their mouths about things they don’t know instead of sticking to acting.

    • The great thing is, actors aren’t politicians and their personal beliefs carry little weight. At worst, you might decide that a particular actor’s crazy talk is just too much and decide to skip their work for a while. The only thing I’ve seen recently with Tom Cruise in it, for just that reason, was Tropic Thunder.

  16. Kind of ironic that a lot of companies start with American but they obviously aren’t if they are going against the constitution.

  17. I’m surprised Costco isn’t on the list. The CEO/Founder is a big-time anti and gives lots of money to that cause.

  18. @TTAG – you forgot

National Bar Association (the immediate past president’s law partner represents Trayvon Martin’s family)

The Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights (the current Exec Director Barbara Arnwine is a huge anti, despite her adamant demand for voting rights and a ban on ID at the polls)

The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS)

    and a $hitload of the unions . . . .

  19. Wholly crap!!!!
I will crawl under a rock, and not watch news use electricity or send Christmas cards. I think I am covered!

  20. Damn it, I knew Ben and Jerry’s was a bunch of tree huggin hippy crap but “Everything but the…” is my favorite ice cream, but no more ben’s, no more Levi’s(how much money do they make off “Cowboy” type advertising), and +1 on how almost every actor on this list has been a user of firearms in film. I stopped giving money to unitied way in Michigan because I found out some of the money was going to HSUS, not the local shelters….. Hey my state passed a “right to work” maybe my union dues would be better served going to NRA

  21. Okay guys, I’m sorry, but I have to join the other side. I am now officially calling for guns to be banned. If Chaka Khan is anti-gun, then I have to be, too.

  22. Thanks for one’s marvelous posting! I definitely enjoyed reading it,
you may be a great author.I will always bookmark your blog and will often come back
very soon. I want to encourage you to ultimately continue your great work, have a nice morning!
