New From Tapco: Arctic White AR, AK Furniture.

I thought white gun furniture looked pretty awesome when I saw it on the cover of the Rogue Spear video game years and years ago. But then I realized what a slob I am, and discovered how quickly my favorite shooting quarries can make a white gun not look so white any more. For those of you in cleaner or snowier climes, Tapco is introducing full sets of AR and AK furniture (not shown) in the dazzling ‘Arctic White’ color . . .

The crappy lighting of the SHOW Show side exhibition rooms doesn’t quite do it justice, but these stocks and vertigrips are whiter than virgin copier paper. Why Tapco didn’t stick these on an actual AR demo gun, or at least a full-metal airsoft gun, I’ll never understand. They’re awfully nice-looking, but keeping them sparkling white could be nearly impossible.

MSRP: $150-ish

  2. avatar Dave says:

The only reason I coulod see wanting these would be to paint them. No thanks.

    1. avatar Samuel Leoon Suggs says:

You could also RIT dye it virtually any shade that captured you fancy a company should make mags like this people are already working with desert tan too make burgundy mags and the like.

    2. avatar g says:

+1 Someone thinks like me… bet folks will use the white furniture for custom paint jobs!

Besides, unless you live somewhere where’s there’s snow 360+ days of the year, buying something like this seems more practical:

Sorry about that first comment.. Mobile site likes to close the keyboard while I am typing and reveal the post comment button.

But I was going to say that it’s going to create race wars between evil assault weapons!

    And you said SHOW show.

    1. avatar Ing says:

Well, the race wars have hit the coffee drinkers, so rifles might as well be next.

  4. avatar Roll says:

Hmmm, maybe could have these to rit dye them?

  5. avatar 5Spot says:

How are these going to sell with global warming, now climate change, and all? Just saying.

  6. avatar Ralph says:

So now it’s evil white rifles? Sheesh.

  7. avatar A-Rod says:

What is black and white and red all over?? The new TAPCO AR with blood all over it! CHILDREN’S BLOOD!!! This was said with sarcasm.

  8. avatar jsallison says:

Like the variegated gray tones on the rifle itself, makes it disappear against the background. 😉

  9. avatar CHOtto says:

if i were into shooting coyotes and what not during the winter, I would pick these up. I like em. But I live in a cold wintery state with awesome gun rights. Go WYO!

  10. avatar Max says:

I think this would work as a base for an arctic camo job. Don’t know why, but I have a fascination with arctic camo…

    1. avatar Matt in FL says:

      Or light gray tiger stripes.

Maybe with the metal parts cerakoted in light gray.

  11. avatar IkeVT says:

If it were anyone but tapco…

Tapco: Making the worst AR furniture since 2008.

  12. avatar Sixpack70 says:

This makes me want to go play Rouge Spear again, if I could find it in my giant box of CDs.

  13. avatar Shenandoah says:

Seeing as I’ve been coveting an Arctic Panther ever since I saw DPMS advertising them all those years ago, I might just bite on these.

Somebody has to defend Hoth after all.

  14. avatar CK in CA says:

It would look great on a white 3D printed lower.

  15. avatar Dustin Eward says:

If EPA weren’t out of stock on their white 80% lowers… I would totally engrave “Boo!” on it with this furniture to go with….
