Yesterday, I shot the new Tavor 7 topped by a Meprolight 4X scope. Yes please! Oh wait. Here’s an optic that can help me stretch my future rifles’ legs up to 1000 meters: the MEPRO 6X Day Scope. If it’s good enough for the IDF, it’s good enough for the IDF. Or something like that. Presser:

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- Meprolight Ltd. – a member of the SK Group and a leading manufacturer of electro-optical systems, thermal and night vision equipment, self-illuminated sights, and Laser Range Finder systems for military, law enforcement and civil applications – launches for North American markets a new member of its scope family – the MEPRO 6X Day Scope.

The MEPRO 6X expands the company’s line of telescopic sights for sniper rifles and LMGs.

According to Benny Kokia, VP Marketing and Sales, “The Day Scope Family has been expanded in order to provide sights that can be used for longer ranges (up to 1000 meter).

Therefore, we developed a sight with the emphasis on an especially wide field-of-view, high accuracy, maintaining a recalibration even under difficult conditions, and an optimal fit for LMG weapons.”

MEPRO 6X is a compact and lightweight (640 gr.) x6 telescopic day sight with enhanced optics. Utilizing a quick-release Picatinny adaptor, this robust sight provides five different brightness settings for efficient target acquisition.

The sight operates with a single standard battery and is equipped with a unique energy-saving feature for extended operation.

The company developed the sight with a ballistic correction for a variety of calibers including the SS109 Crosshair, SS109 Chevron, SS109 Horseshoe, Dual Caliber, 300 Blackout, and LMG (Light Machine Gun).

MEPRO 4X is a compact and lightweight (1.7 Ibs) x4 telescopic day sight with enhanced optics. Utilizing a quick-release Picatinny adaptor, this robust sight provides five different brightness settings for efficient target acquisition.

It has different reticle options for 5.56mm and 7.62mm calibers, and a wide field-of-view. The sight, used by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), operates with a single standard battery and is equipped with a unique energy saving feature for extended operation.

  1. Lightweight at 2 pounds? Seriously, whoever writes pressers for Meprolight is either an idiot or a liar. Lemme guess, it also costs $1999.99?

    • I guess that’s light if you putting it on a 249B or a 240B. It’s made for machine guns not your average AR15. It would be Overkill on an AR. It’s priced to be affordable for the Gov.

  2. If the 4x reticle was BDC, what range did the markings go out to? Just curious cause I haven’t seen any real photos of the 4x reticle design.
