CZ has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity in the U.S. since the turn of the century, and for good reason. The company has earned a reputation for consistent quality and reliable products all at a fair price. At NRAAM 2019, we found some new models to spend more money on.

Back at SHOT Show Magpul announced their pistol grip, 35-round magazine, and magazine release for the CZ Scorpion EVO. Last week at NRAAM, CZ-USA announced two Magpul edition EVO 3 S1 Carbines, one with faux suppressor and one without. They feature all of the aforementioned Magpul components plus a Magpul ZHUKOV-S stock and Magpul MBUS sights.

In addition to the long, slab-sided slide accessory rail, the 6-inch bull barrel helps to keep the nose down with full-power 10mm rounds heading downrange. This is a handgun hunter’s gun, to be sure.

  1. I need to win the PowerBall one of these days…guess I should start playing.

Really wanting that Evo with the brake.

    • I asked the guys at the CZ booth if the new plant in Arkansas might be making (pretty please / shut up and take my money!) a proper carry size single stack RAMI. They said they had no idea. 🙁

  2. Any CZ Bren 805 gen 2 eg 806 in 5.56/7.62×39 or 7.62×51 hanging around? I still want this, probably in FDE or OD, but I am still wanting details on how the modularity is supposed to work for the 5.56. Since the receiver is the registered part, and to avoid buying it three times, it would be nice if you could swap 5.56/7.62×39/300blk in a somewhat convenient manner…

  3. If CZ wanted to make a limited run of 6″ barrel 1911’s in .45 WinMag, I’d buy one in a New York Second.

Since LAR quit making the Grizzly, it’s been revolvers for bear country around here…

  4. CZ certainly hit the ball out of the park with the Scorpion.
They are literally flying off gun store shelves, especially with the introduction of the micro version.
Good to see an innovative company company making products that people want!
