  1. Would love to try an accufit. I love my savage rifles. All three have accutriggers and 2 have the accustocks. For the money they are the best ive come across.

  2. Damn damn and double damn, but not in .243 win, this was the rifle I’ve been looking for, I won’t switch from the .243 because I’ kno that cartridge so well. A 243 in a twenty six inch button rifled barrel, yah buddy. Savage gets my next purchase

    • Nothing our 240 Dingo doesn’t outperform. 55gr Nosler Varmageddon @ 4600+fps depending on powder. So far, 600 pound hogs aren’t moving.

    • Just got one in 6.5 creedmore have it set up leapold scope have not shot yet. Waiting for descent weather to go to range for final sight in. This gun is really short very light. Shoulder to trigger is short barrel only 20 “ long and really small diameter. Fits my needs perfectly if it’s a good shooter.

    • Love my lwh in 3006, it really likes Factory 150 grain Federal, did some reloading with Partition but couldn’t find the right make up. Might try Bergers next

  3. Savage makes other models in a left-handed version but there’s no mention of a leftie Long Range Hunter. Does anyone know if they are likely to make one?

    • Based in their past history, I’d hazard a guess that it is very likely. They lag a few months behind the right hand models.

  4. I shoot left handed and love the 25/06 calber, and that’s a long distance calber.and I didn’t see eather one,and I’m really disipointed in savage.i own 2 of there bolt action rifles 25/06 & 270 both great gund for long shooting with the right scope.

    • 25 caliber isn’t a target caliber. Never has been, never will be. Even the current Berger bullet options fail to meet expectations. Both the 24 and 26 caliber options are more ballistic friendly.
