The hand guard (sku: KR-016B) is the original Bulgarian hand guard set that includes the latest generation design lower hand guard with flash light made from mil-spec black polymer. The integrated flash light emits a very bright glow for fast target acquisition. The flashlight uses two 3 Volt lithium batteries (CR 123 ASL) and is designed for milled-receiver Krinkovs.

See the thing is, this pistol is okay to sell to the subjects as it sits. But if you put a piece of board on the end butt that fits into your shoulder, suddenly it becomes a murdering machine capable of completely destroying America, the world, and if left to it’s own devices long enough, the entire universe.

There was a time when if you had said they were selling an AK anything for 1500 bucks I would have laughed in your face. Sigh. I miss those days.
You can get a decent AK where I live for 499$ now. Prices are dropping. Bullets aren’t. You might not have any bullets for it – but you can get the gun now.

I have to agree; there isn’t a single AK variant made that is worth $1500.00! Show me one that can hold a group smaller than a two pound coffee can at 100 yards, and after I pick myself up off the ground…I still won’t give you $1500 for it. They can’t hold a candle to the AR platform or many others. It is just a third world rifle an apparently, always will be.
Even if someone made one that could group better, you are still stuck with trhe tuna can ammo…
Agreed. There are only two reasons the AK is still relevant this many years later: reliability and a low price. Take away one of those reasons and it’s useless.
That might be, but I’m still shooting, and when I burn up what I have, back to wal-mart for some more Tulammo at $5 a box. A dinner plate group beats an unused target any day of the week!
…but not at 1500 per piece. They are fun to shoot, aggravating when they don’t group and ugly as sin…but they do go bang.
For a AK to be worth that much, you would have to get into Krebs and Jim Fuller territory (f^ck spending gunbroker prices on WASRs)

A Vepr can chew up group sizes like that all day long and they were sub 700 dollars once upon a time. My converted one sure as hell will keep up with most ARs out there in terms of accuracy.
A Russian or Bulgarian Arsenal or Kvar will too. Even my SA85 with peep sights in 7.62×39 would be able to.
AKs are far more accurate than many believe. A decently built one will compete with ARs.

I have seen few ARs keep 1 MOA especially since most are carbines or SBRs optimized for close quarters combat. A US military spec M4 carbine is a 4 MOA rifle. Most “1 MOA groups” creep towards 2-3 MOA once you fire 5-10 round groups (outside of the three realm).
Hence, the Vepr has roughly equivalent accuracy at 2-4 MOA.
Everybody on AR15.com shoots 1 MOA and its bullshit.

I never claimed AKs can shoot 1 MOA (although some platforms and derivatives CAN). You said a two pound coffee can, which is much larger than 1 MOA :\
If you are talking about them shooting 2-4 MOA, then yes, this is well known within the AK74 community. Those are typical accuracy figures.

A dirty little secret is that the AR15 fanbase will never admit the significantly cheaper AK74 is comparable in terms of accuracy.
I guess when your ammunition costs 80 cents-1 dollar a round, you have to do some self justifying.
Okay, so a question from a Brit with limited (compared to the readership here) firearms experience. What would actually you use one of these, or the other “rifle cut down to pistol-size” for?
I can quite understand “have fun turning live rounds into empty cases”, which would be quite sufficient for anyone with the spare cash (one of these wouldn’t be my first preference, but if I were offered one as a gift I’d gladly accept). I’m just curious if there’s a more specific role for these; or if they’re just entertaining anomalies thrown up by US firearms laws.
Basically, the whole “AK Pistol” thing exists because adding a stock to a short barreled rifle makes it a NFA item, which requires registering with the ATF and paying $200 just for the privilege. It’s an easy markup for importer companies, because they just pull the stock off, tack a plate over the trunnion, and import it as a “pistol,” which saves them not only from importing a “restricted” firearm, but also from having to meet the other ATF-imposed 922R Compliance rifle restrictions. -That involves putting enough American-made parts into an import rifle to make it more American than import. Because everybody knows, right after short-barreled rifles, the next most dangerous thing is a rifle with more foreign than domestic parts in it.

If only they did just that… the FSB isn’t threaded on this or the first version of the SAM7K. The flash hider is pressed on, which is also fake by the way, see from the pictures how it is neither chrome lined nor effective in any way because the barrel extends INTO the flash hider rendering it a cosmetic feature only.
I paid for the first version that doesn’t come with the $500 (which probably costs $30 to make) flashlight and I’m paying even more money to correct the aforementioned flaws. Yes, I am stupid, but in the long run I want to make an AR-M4SF out of this AK pistol.
My Arsenal Sam7k01 pistol has a chrome lined barrel !!! 🙂

I put lead on steel consistently with my SLR-101S.. at 300 yards.. with iron sights.. with a round capable of stopping someone in thier tracks.. and I’ve never had a single failure, ever, with any AK. ever…… certainly worth the ~$1k for a battle proven rifle. ARs have thier advantages, but they come in the form of a squadron.
